    • What is a water source?
      Water sources are sources of water that are useful or potentially useful to humans.

      What is a water spring?
      A spring is a component of the hydrosphere, namely any natural occurrence where water flows on to the surface of the earth from below the surface.

      A water well is an excavation or structure created in the ground by digging, driving, boring or drilling to access groundwater in underground aquifers. The well water is drawn by an electric submersible pump, a vertical turbine pump, a hand pump or a mechanical pump

    • Lakes
      Lakes are one of the few sources of fresh water on earth. Only 3% of the earths water is fresh water.

      A river is a natural watercourse,usually freshwater, flowing toward an ocean, a lake, a sea or another river. In a few cases, a river simply flows into the ground or dries up completely before reaching another body of water.

      Oceans contain salt water and make up about 97% of the worlds total water. Salt water is unsafe to drink making it almost useless to humans.
