People going slow-carb or low-carb are often worried about their portion sizes. Hey, you're eating a lot less calorie dense food, it's all right to eat more!

As a proof, I took the pictures of everything I eat in a day - which is a lot - that has still permitted me to lose between 3 and 4 cm each off my waist, hips and legs in about 2-2,5 months, without strength loss.

Quantities Presentation Transcript

  • 1. «Am I eating too much?» A quick presentation for those worried by quantities dimanche 30 juin 2013
  • 2. So, you are afraid you’re eating too much? dimanche 30 juin 2013
  • 3. Let me tell you this: dimanche 30 juin 2013
  • 4. I eat A LOT every day. I’ll show you how much it is, and then you tell me if you are really eating THAT much. dimanche 30 juin 2013
  • 5. First, the measuring items. As you can notice, the plate I use is about the size of my head. It is a BIG plate. dimanche 30 juin 2013
  • 6. Breakfast This should normally be ham and bresaola, but my husband had eaten all of it in the morning, so I had to resign to a much smaller quantity of bacon Tomatoes, bell peppers and a couple of spoons of olive oil At least 0,75l of water with ice 1,5 eggs (2 egg whites and 1 yolk) Nozzarella: I shouldn’t be eating this but I do once or twice a week :) dimanche 30 juin 2013
  • 7. You thought that’s it? Ha! An equivalent of a double espresso with 2 tbsp of cream A piece of 85% chocolate (BTW I’ll take another one for my 5 o’clock snack every now and then: I consider 85% chocolate more as fat than carbs and therefore ok, even if I might be wrong :) dimanche 30 juin 2013
  • 8. Lunch A pack of ready- made supermarket salad (100g) + other veggies + vinegar + olive oil At least 0,75l of water with ice This veal steak is about about 2-3 cm thick => at least 150-180g dimanche 30 juin 2013
  • 9. Snack, or Second lunch :) Pretty straightforward: egg, canned tuna in olive oil, cauliflower. This looks like a small cup but remember that it is standing on a plate the size of my head :) Not in the picture: - about 60g of Bresaola and half of a bell pepper snacked on while preparing my snack :) - a piece of 85% chocolate I’ve already told you about earlier:) - a post-workout protein shake - some more water and tea dimanche 30 juin 2013
  • 10. Dinner Another huge cup, this time with some homemade gazpacho-like soup Um, sorry for the ugly pictures, the light in the kitchen is not great :) Steamed eggplants, leeks, and squash with oil and vinegar 2 baked chicken legs + some more water, of course! dimanche 30 juin 2013
  • 11. Eating like this (plus a crazy cheat day a week) has not hindered my fat loss - A total of 12 cm lost in about 2 moths: - 4 cm waist, - 4 hips, -3 leg circumferemce - Combined with regular strength exercise, minor muscle loss, if any: strength PRs) - The best defined abs i’ve ever had up to now: So, are you still afraid you’re eating too much? dimanche 30 juin 2013
