  • 2. Robots that deceive
    • A robot deceives an enemy soldier by creating a false trail and hiding so that it will not be caught. While this sounds like a scene from one of the Terminator movies, it’s actually the scenario of an experiment conducted by researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology as part of what is believed to be the first detailed examination of robot deceptio n .
  • 3. Robots’ importance in society
    • In the future, robots capable of deception may be valuable in several different areas, including military and search and rescue operations. A search and rescue robot may need to deceive in order to calm or receive cooperation from a panicking victim. Robots on the battlefield with the power of deception will be able to successfully hide and mislead the enemy to keep themselves and valuable information safe.
  • 4. Robots’ importance for us
    • At the moment, it doesn’t matter to us because its purpose and the functions performed are not related to our every day life. Perhaps, in the near future things may change a little but the odds of that happening in robotics terms are scarce.
