3. Objective:
 Due to the harsh changes in the weather, we
won`t be able to have classes on Wednesday and
Thursday 6th and 7th. So here are some of the
activities you need to accomplish. Make sure you
have these activities done by the day you come
back to school.

4. Introduction:
• Unit 8 Wednesday Jan. 6th 2016
• Writing Prompt “ Make a list of all your NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS”
(HW section) we’ll comment in class.
• Write the definition of the word INFLUENCE (HW section)
• Thursday Jan. 7th 2016
• Writing Prompt “ Imagine if you and your friends took a vacation to
the snowy mountains. Write about the exciting things that you would
do. (HW section)

5. Theme “activities to do…”
• Wednesday Jan. 6th 2016
• SB p. 50, 51 read and answer act. 1,2,3,4 and 5 (in your book)
• Copy the next exercises about Past Tenses into your NTBs (HW
section) and answer them to be checked in class.
• Thursday Jan. 7th 2016
• SB p.52 “Meetings on the go” read and ans. act. 1 SB p. 53 read the
article about these meetings.

6. *PAST TENSES
Name the tenses of the verbs in the sentences 1-6
Past simple, past continuous, present perfect simple, present perfect
continuous, past perfect simple or continuous.
1- He resolved the mystery that had been bugging him since his
meeting with the graphologist.
2- In the late 1940s he was devising novel ways of measuring
personality.
3- Their research has shown that people behave in unusual ways.
4- The experimenters had found out their date of birth beforehand.
5- He has been investigating unusual human behaviour for the last
twenty years.
6- The test was about to start.
