Arduino is a simple microcomputer board used to develop and write open source software.
Arduino boards can be used by themselves, or can be ran alongside software such as Director and Flash.
The Arduino is currently very popular between designers and artists, and was originally created to teach Interaction Design.
In our Arduino sessions, we used the IDE software to program our own Arduinos. By connecting them to breadboards, and using electrical connectors, we programmed our Arduinos to power green, amber and red lights in certain sequences.
