  3. 3. What is the texas star chart?<br />STaR-School Technology and Readiness<br />It is an online tool to aid in planning and self assessing to align technology with the Long Range Plan for Technology 2006-2020.<br />
  4. 4. The Four areas are:<br />Teaching & Learning-Content area and its connections<br />Educator Preparation –Staff developments<br />Administration & Support-Instructional support<br />Infrastructure-Internet/Technology support<br />
  5. 5. How do we rate?<br />

How does this rating affect me and my campus?<br />Helps districts and campuses meet requirements in NCLB and the Technology TEKS.<br />Assists classroom teachers in assessing needs and setting goals for technology use in the classroom.<br />Helps teachers to implement technology and in hopes of motivating students’ participation and achievement.<br />Identifies the need for on-going professional development.<br />
