    What is the STaR Chart?
    How does it affect me and my campus?
    How does the STaR Chart help students learning?
  • 3. What is the texas star chart?
    STaR-School Technology and Readiness
    It is an online tool to aid in planning and self assessing to align technology with the Long Range Plan for Technology 2006-2020.
  • 4. The Four areas are:
    Teaching & Learning-Content area and its connections
    Educator Preparation –Staff developments
    Administration & Support-Instructional support
    Infrastructure-Internet/Technology support
  • 5. How do we rate?
  • 6. How does this rating affect me and my campus?
    Helps districts and campuses meet requirements in NCLB and the Technology TEKS.
    Assists classroom teachers in assessing needs and setting goals for technology use in the classroom.
    Helps teachers to implement technology and in hopes of motivating students’ participation and achievement.
    Identifies the need for on-going professional development.
  • 7. Strengths vs weaknesses
    Our strengths are in the area of Infrastructure.
    Our weaknesses are in the area of Educator Preparation
