Questionnaire results and analysis
• 288544067310From my questionnaire I found that the majority of my target audience chose that they buy music magazines monthly. A you can see 5 of sample chose monthly while 1,2 and 3 for the others. From this information I will base my magazine on a monthly basis.
2885440281305
• Here I found that my target audience voted for £2-£3 for the amount of money they would spend on a magazine. This is quite a low price and could be because most of them have part time jobs where pay is low. Therefore I will listen to my sample and set the price of my magazine within £2-£3.
• 30. 2611755125730In order to find out exactly what kind of music I should include in my magazine I asked this question. As you can see 9 people chose ‘mixture’ this means a variety of music. Only two people chose R&B. I will apply this to my magazine to try and attract a mass target audience.
• 31. 2847340-13970Here I asked my target audience what they would like to see in a music magazine. As you can see Interviews, Top 40 UK, Reviews and celeb gossip were the most popular. I now have a good insight into what my target audience like, this will hopefully make my magazine more successful.
• 32. Because of these results I will try and apply it to my own magazine when I have to create a double page spread.
• 33. 284988091440I wanted to see what magazines my target audience preferred. From there I can look at the styles and layout they use and try to apply it to my own. As you can see my sample chose Billboard as their favourite magazine. From here I will look at Billboard’s magazines and try to use their style.
• 34. 227965093980I wanted to find what would attract my target audience to my magazine. Therefore I asked my sample what would attract them to a magazine. As you can see no one voted for lots of text because it’s quite off putting. You can clearly see that the most popular choice was ‘a couple of images and some text’ followed by ‘a cover with lots of images to tell you what’s inside. I can now apply this to my own magazine
