In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products
1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions
of real media products?
The masthead in these
magazines are similar to
mine, they are bright and
colourful and stand out.
The main image is also similar
to mine as it is simple and full
length.
Catchy titles and headlines for
magazine interviews and
what’s going on inside, all told
on the front cover to convince
readers.
A bard code, which in all real media
products that are made for purchase
need to have.
2. Mastheads
I chose these particular masthead’s as a
starting point for my own masthead, I
wanted bright colours and bold titles to
stand out above others. These 4 major
brand names fitted in well.
3. Original Ideas
These are all of the magazine templates
I made, I used images of celebrities that
I liked and thought suited the theme I
wanted for my magazine. I have used a
variety of colours for my masthead and
placed them in different positions. It
gave me a lot of inspiration for my
magazine image and final design.
4. In my final music magazine I used a
bar code, I used this as all
magazines which are distributed
for sale need one of these to be
sold. It also makes my magazine
look more real in comparison to
real music magazines.
5. The pink arrow is showing one of
the similarities in my front The purple is showing that both include
cover, this shows that both my a small shape with text inside about the
magazine and the real one have a something within the magazine.
smaller print about inside gossip.
The blue arrow shows how both my
magazine and the real example both
include interviews of bands/artists.
The green shows both main titles, of
the front image, mine gives the name The yellow is showing another small feature of
of the person on the front & the real the magazine low down at the bottom.
magazine does also.
