  • The only public charter school serving the Scranton, Pennsylvania, area, Howard Gardner Multiple Intelligence Charter School offers a high-quality free education to preschool through eighth- grade students. The school recently moved to a new facility on East Mountain that provides twice as much space as its old building and offers outdoor amenities.
  •  Located in the previous home of the Friendship House on East Elm Street, the new facility provides a gymnasium, two playgrounds, and art and music rooms, none of which the school had access to previously. Thanks to the additional classroom space available in the building, the school expanded enrollment to 185 students and plans to grow to a student body of 230 in the coming years.
