Vietnamese attackers. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Sent to Prison </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Harsh conditions </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Health and fitness problems </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>POW for 5 years </li></ul></ul>

How They survived. <ul><ul><li>He barely escaped the flames, which quickly reached several other airplanes. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>In prison he helped out his fellow POW captives, and they helped each other. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Some native people helped them. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Stayed together to leave prison together. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Used the tactics he knew from his previous experiences. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>After the Vietnam cease fire went into effect, they were released. </li></ul></ul>
  • 5. 12 steps to survival <ul><ul><li>He was able to stay calm, as he had experience </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>He perceived the situation when he was captured and tortured. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>He never gave up, he said that that he won’t leave the prison without his fellow captives. </li></ul></ul>
