Background to UPA Bangalore <ul><li>Bangalore is a key node in global technology and R&D networks – known as digital innovation center </li></ul><ul><li>However, its international presence or thought leadership in Design, UX, Usability or innovation driven through these areas has a long way to go </li></ul><ul><li>From within the UX or design community - commendable but limited efforts across India </li></ul><ul><li>Simultaneously, new players in ecosystem, new paradigms - emergence of ‘un-conferences’, wikis </li></ul><ul><li>Closer to the tipping point where Bangalore becomes a peer recognized center for Design/ UX innovation </li></ul>

Background to UPA Bangalore <ul><li>Established in June 2007 by UX enthusiasts </li></ul><ul><li>Foundational ground efforts with Muthu, Sumi Tandon, Revathi Nathaniel, Amrut Pujari, Shanmugam, Anupama, Shazeeye Kirmani, Deepa Bachu, Himanshu Malik and others </li></ul><ul><li>Chapter developed with key inputs from Daniel Szuc, Jason Huang, Paul Sherman and other UPA long standing members </li></ul>
