An association that supports usability specialists, people from all aspects of human-centered design, and the broad family of disciplines that create the user experience in promoting the design and development of usable products. Background to UPA Bangalore Bangalore is a key node in global technology and R&D networks – known as digital innovation center However, its international presence or thought leadership in Design, UX, Usability or innovation driven through these areas has a long way to go From within the UX or design community - commendable but limited efforts across India Simultaneously, new players in ecosystem, new paradigms - emergence of ‘un-conferences’, wikis Closer to the tipping point where Bangalore becomes a peer recognized center for Design/ UX innovation

Background to UPA Bangalore Established in June 2007 by UX enthusiasts Foundational ground efforts with Muthu, Sumi Tandon, Revathi Nathaniel, Amrut Pujari, Shanmugam, Anupama, Shazeeye Kirmani, Deepa Bachu, Himanshu Malik and others Chapter developed with key inputs from Daniel Szuc, Jason Huang, Paul Sherman and other UPA long standing members

Established in June 2007 by UX enthusiasts
