    I am having problems with downloading your files Amit. The download window shows but when you click to save it clicks and downloads 0bytes of data? could it be with the file itself?

    In the Philippines, most of the professionals in the software industry are employed. So there’s not much of soft-related providers coming from the Philippines. And if you’re going to compare the Philippine population to that of India, you will come to realize that a great percentage out of Filipino IT work force satisfies the customers who believes in the value of outsourcing.

    I think one of the reasons why the Philippines has more customer service agents than India is because our English is easier to understand. Even if we expand our outsourcing base in software development, the majority of the pie will always be in customer service because that is our key strength.

    the reason why we have the lowest hourly chrge is that the jobs outsourced to the philippines are not as highly-skilled jobs as india does. most of the outsourced jobs landing inthe philippines are customer service agents which falls in the category of a clerk unlike india which gets jobs for programming,tax preparaton specialties or accounting and even software development which are very highly skilled jobs so, higher skills means higher pay

BACKGROUND oDesk (www.odesk.com) is the leading marketplace for online work teams with the best business model for both buyers and providers Over 125,000 professional contractors, including software engineers, web developers, graphic designers, writers, researchers, and virtual assistants around the world provide services via oDesk.   4. SUMMARY OF FINDINGS The United States has the greatest number of providers and highest average feedback rating. Homeshoring within the US continues to gain momentum. Outsourcing to the Philippines is growing faster than any other country. Its largest category is Knowledge Processing Outsourcing (KPO), including data entry and virtual assistants. The country’s average feedback rating recently surpassed the oDesk average for the first time. India remains the dominant player in the industry, boasting the highest number of new hires. Its largest work category is software and web development. Software and Web Developers are earning nearly 3x the rates of writers and administrative assistants around the world.   41. METHODOLOGY Global Provider Maps: Top 20 cities in country, in terms of number of oDesk providers, are included. Cities must have minimum of 20 providers. Hourly Rates vs. oDesk Average Charts: Assignments on or after January 1, 2007, with greater than 0 hours and greater than a $1.11 hourly rate are included. This is the average rate of actual work performed, not the rates listed in providers’ personal profiles. Average Feedback vs. oDesk Average Charts: Providers with at least one feedback score who have last worked on or after January 1, 2007, are included Hours Worked Charts: Assignments on or after January 1, 2007, are included Statistics Report December 15, 2008
