  • BYODBring Your Own Device
  • Why BYOD?• Many students already have technology devices• Our students are digital natives• Todays students learn best from trial and error, and prefer visual learning
  • What are some examples of Devices for BYOD? Laptops Netbooks Tablets eReaders Smartphones
  • How do I do this BYOD thing?• Students do not have own or purchase a device for BYOD.• Students bring in their devices only on the exact day(s) that your teacher tells you.• You need your teachers permission!• BYOD is to be used appropriately only for classroom work.• It is illegal to post a picture or video of another person without written consent.
  • Safety• Students must still login to the DDLN with their ALSC username and password.• Students searching is still filtered through our system• Students searching history can still can be tracked
  • Digital Drivers License Network (DDLN)
  • BYOD is new and unfamiliar to all of us. It will be a work in progress for some time. Since our district is set up for device access, it would be a shame not to utilize the technology to it’s full capacity.
