What is D.I.D.I.
• The D.I.D.I. Initiative supports Teen
Second Life residents to launch their
own ventures, either within or outside
of Teen Second Life, that create lasting
benefit to their communities.

What’s a Venture?
• A \"venture\" can be a club, organization,
business, or program that is ongoing
(i.e. not a one-time event) and benefits
your community in some way.
• Your community might be the TSL
community, your school, your
neighborhood, or even the global
community!

How does D.I.D.I work?
• The D.I.D.I. Initiative will provide your
team with seed funding (up to $1000
US) and the support you need to launch
your own project on an issue that
matters to you.

The Workshops
• At the workshop, you'll find out how you can
start your own venture.
• You'll have a chance to begin brainstorming
about issues you care about and how you
can create change around those issues.
• You'll also learn about some of the many
amazing ventures led teams of youth around
the world.

About Us
The D.I.D.I. Initiative is a partnership between two organizations:
Youth Venture and Global Kids:
•In 2006, Global Kids became the first nonprofit to develop a
dedicated space for conducting programming in TSL.
•Youth Venture was launched with the vision of changing society
such that everyone would have the freedom and societal support to
address social needs. An essential element of this vision is to enable
young people to learn early on in life that they can lead social
change. Youth Venture inspires and invests in teams of young
people to start social ventures, and is working to build a powerful
network of young social entrepreneurs across the world.
