    • Please log-in.   At ‘Home Page, take cursor to ‘Products’. A drop down menu will appear itself as shown here: Please click on ‘Rail’ as shown here.
    •   Rail ‘Home Page’ will appear as shown:
    • Please fill in screen details: From (city of departure): Please type city name. System will help you to complete it. Select departure station in next column from a drop down menu.
    • To (city of arrival): Please type city name. System will help you to complete it. Select arrival station in next column from a drop down menu.
    • Select date of departu-re from prop up calendar:
      • Enable the appropriate dot: O General O Female O Tatkal
      • Select number of passengers from drop down menus: Senior Citizen (if 60 years or over), Adults & Children.
      • Please note that you can book only up-to 6 passengers in one PNR.
      • Click on ‘Search train’
      • On the right side top of this page: See
      • Tatkal Booking Opening Date &
      • General Booking Opening Date.
      • You can also check a PNR status, for your existing PNR.
      • You can View Cancellation Policy and also Refund Policy (as shown on the next two pages)
    • Cancellation Processing Cancellation Rules listed by IRCTC are as shown below. If a confirmed ticket is cancelled more than 24 hrs before the scheduled departure of the train, flat cancellation charges shall be deducted @ Rs.70/- for AC First Class/Executive Class, Rs.60/- for AC 2 Tier/AC 3 Tier/First Class/AC Chair car, Rs.40/- for Sleeper Class and Rs.20/- for Second Class. Cancellation charges are per passenger. If a confirmed ticket is cancelled within 24 hrs and up to 4 hours before the scheduled departure of the train, cancellation charges shall be 25% of the fare subject to the minimum flat rate mentioned in the above clause. Less than 4 hours before the schedule departure of the train up to chart preparation of the train, 50% of the fare paid subject to the minimum cancellation charges. For Tatkal Tickets Booked as e-Tickets A flat refund of 25% of total fare charged on ticket, excluding Tatkal Charges is granted on cancellation of confirmed Tatkal tickets, which are cancelled up to 24 hrs. before the schedule departure of train. No refund on confirmed Tatkal tickets when cancelled within 24 hrs. of the schedule departure of train. For contingent cancellation and waitlisted Tatkal ticket cancellations, charges will be deducted as per existing Railway rules.
    • Refund Processing IRCTC functions as an agent for Indian Railways and refunds are made by Indian Railways and Credited to the account of the agent by IRCTC as and when received from Indian Railways. IRCTC will follow with Railways for refund of amount due in these cases but does not bear any liability for delay of non-payments of refund amount, by Indian Railways. The agent will cancel the ticket online on request of customer and will refund the amount to customer on receipt of money from Indian Railways though IRCTC. Whenever tickets cannot be cancelled online, We will write to IRCTC. IRCTC will take up the matter with Zonal Railway concerned and arrange refund. The agent should refund money only on receipt of money from Railway through IRCTC. The agent is duty bound to refund the cancellation amount to the customer who booked the ticket after making payment to agent and later got it cancelled. The agent would not adjust the cancellation amount with any of its previous dues, until and unless the customer is in continuous running account with the agent. If the agent misconducts in any refund for cancellation, IRCTC may impose suitable penalty which may extend to termination of the authorization of the agent for Internet Booking. This is without prejudice to any other action that IRCTC may take.

    • Recheck selected class of travel. Recheck date of travel. Also recheck other details e.g. type/no. of passengers etc.  
    • You can ask Show Availability. Availability chart will appear as shown here:

    • If you are satisfied with Availability details, you can Book Selected Train. A screen will appear as shown here.
    • After that, following screen will appear. In the right hand box it repeats all information of your booking request and also gives fare amount including e-ticket charges by IRCTC.       • Kindly fill in this screen.
      • All columns market with * (a red asterisk) are mandatory to be filled up. 
      • Please note that the ID card, which will be entered here , has to be carried by the holder/passenger (head of the group) in original during the journey; as it will be checked by the ticket checker on board of the train.
      • Decide on mode of payment: O Deposit O Credit card.
      • Please read terms & conditions carefully.
      • Tick mark  I have read and accepted the above Terms and Conditions.
    • Click on Book Train.   A screen will be seen as shown here:
    • In the inset box, again all information/details of your booking request has been displayed again.   This is our last opportunity to recheck these details; because ticket will be issued based on this information. If the details are correct, you can click on Continue. Otherwise click on Cancel and revise/correct the wrong details.
    • After you press ‘Continue’, the next screen will appear as shown here: (Please note the FMN00 [11digit]number)
    • After a little waiting, your booking will be confirmed and this screen will appear: At this point, you can print the ticket.

    • PLEASE ENSURE THAT THE PASSENGER CARRIES THE ID CARD, AS RECORDED IN THE RESERVATION, WITH HIM/HER AS IT WILL BE CHECKED BY THE RAILWAY OFFICIALS ON BOARD OF THE TRAIN.
    • Cancellation: Less than 24 hours before train departure, please cancel with us directly – tel. 080-41431000 or 080-25329800. Rail desk open from 08 am to 9 pm. More than 24 hours before train departure, go to ‘Accounts’, select the relevant FMN00 [11 digit] number. Click on it. Next screen gives you option to cancel. Use the option and submit for cancellation. See next two pages.
    • Refunds: Under accounts, find the FMN00……. No. of transac- tion. Click on it to open it. See next page for result.
    • Refunds: Screen will open. If only 1 passenger in PNR, click on cancel ticket. If more than 1, follow the guidelines given.
    • Refunds: Will be processed by us thereafter and amount credited to your account.
