  • Why the test kitchen? It was clear to me that something was challenging the very foundations of classrooms, schools, & education.

    Web 3.0 - ?? - personalization, the semantic web, individualized...??

    The ideas of connectedness and open education are underlying philosophies for everything else.
  • I will be sharing my digital identity with you...Didn’t get facebook until last spring, my 12 year old only got it a month ago
    I’m a private person, so this has been a huge learning curve for me.
  • As of last June - this was the sum total of my digital identity

  • First generation with on-line identity - no guidance- the adults didn’t know yet...

  • When studying social media and new media tools it’s a little like being soaked with a fire hose - actually it’s totally being soaked by the fire hose!
  • So - you don’t have to dive in head first - instead, wade in slowly and get used to the water.
    As we go through the day consider what is “sticky” for you - that’s a good clue for where to start.
