  • ACTIVITY REPRESENTING THE METHOD The student should say the sentence representing that they can see in the picture. Teacher Will show some image to the student
  • APPROACH  Theory of language Speech view as the basic of language and structure Theory of learning Language skill are learned more efectively.
  • THE SYLLABUS A situational presentation of new sentences patterns  Drill to practices the sentence patterns
  • SITUATIONAL LANGUAGE TEACHING (SLT) OBJECTIVES  Accuracy pronunciation and grammar  Ability to respond in speech situation  Control of basic structures and sentences patterns
  • ADVANTAGES In the teaching of grammar patterns has contribude to the survival of approach until now, SLT is still attractive to many teacher
  • DISADVANTAGES • Children do not acquire their mother tongue through repetition and habit formation
  • PROCEDURE Procedure move from oral use of sentences patterns to their automatic use in speech, reading and writing
