• 7. Why the iPad?
It is a “magical” device that responds to touch and tilt – has the potential to feel truly alive and real in a child’s hands. Children love it.
It’s simpler than a full computer with a clear interface metaphor (touch what you want to effect) allowing younger children to operate it.
It is wildly popular – 500,000 sold in a week and the 3G models haven’t even been released yet - growing market
It’s a new space – there is time to get in on the ground floor with apps that take full advantage of the iPad. ‘
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFp6ezgn8hE&NR=1
• 8. BUSINESS MODEL
The business model is very simple - the game is free, but unlocking additional content within it costs money. We intend to provide compelling and enjoyable enough content that people will pay for more.
Initially only one or two environments are part of the app – but the environment selection screen shows previews of several more – each of which can be unlocked for a few dollars with just a tap & parental permission.
• 9. Technology
Bird Girl would be developed using Unity3D - the premier iPhone / iPad 3d game engine. For in-app purchase and microphone data custom plugins.
Players view each 3d environment from a fixed, mid-air perspective.
Everything in the environment responds to touch.
Everything in the environment is always in some kind of motion.
• 10. Positioning
This game is the creation of a new (and needed) category in Toddler entertainment - premium quality apps. Nothing is too good for our kids!
Beautiful graphics and rich, living interaction set us apart from everything else out there.
Each environment is a beautifully rendered, living, breathing scene.
