Tri-nations <ul><li>3 countries </li></ul><ul><li>New Zealand, Australia and South Africa </li></ul><ul><li>New Zealand has won 10 times </li></ul><ul><li>Australia won 3 times </li></ul><ul><li>South Africa won 3 times </li></ul><ul><li>NZ – All blacks, Aus – Wallabies, SA – Springboks </li></ul><ul><li>Played in different countries </li></ul><ul><li>Played every year </li></ul><ul><li>Possible change to Quad-nations to include Argentina </li></ul>

ITM Cup <ul><li>New Zealand competition </li></ul><ul><li>Sponsored by ITM – building supplies </li></ul><ul><li>Previously the Air NZ cup </li></ul><ul><li>14 provincial teams </li></ul><ul><li>Played every year </li></ul><ul><li>Major teams have some all blacks </li></ul><ul><li>Matches held all over the country </li></ul><ul><li>Has been running since 1976 </li></ul>

Rugby World Cup - RWC <ul><li>20 countries compete </li></ul><ul><li>Played every 4 years </li></ul><ul><li>Top 3 - New Zealand, Australia and South Africa </li></ul><ul><li>All 3 have won twice </li></ul><ul><li>Played in different countries </li></ul><ul><li>Last played 2011 in NZ – All blacks won </li></ul>

Super 15 <ul><li>Currently 5 teams from New Zealand, Australia and South Africa </li></ul><ul><li>Played every year before ITM cup </li></ul><ul><li>Used to be called Super 12 </li></ul><ul><li>Title changed as teams were introduced </li></ul><ul><li>Last years winners were ‘The Reds’ from Queensland </li></ul><ul><li>Crusaders have won it the most </li></ul>
  • 7. Super 15 <ul><li>In 2013 will change to Super 16 </li></ul><ul><li>The new team joining called ‘Southern Kings’ from South Africa. </li></ul>
  • 8. The Southern Kings <ul><li>South Africa </li></ul><ul><li>Home stadium is Port Elizabeth </li></ul><ul><li>Effects on competition? I asked my Poppy and he said “It will give the chance for new South African players to join the competition” </li></ul><ul><li>Thanks for watching. </li></ul>
