Installing software
● To install software means to put it in a
computer so it can be executed.
● In many operating systems and/or applications,
installing is nothing more than copying the
program files to a directory.
● In these cases no other parts of the system are
usually modified.
● This used to be the case in MS-DOS, and still
happens in some modern operating systems.
