LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY • Unveiled @ Mobile World Congress 2010 in Barcelona. • First thought as an upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.5 • Released Developer Toolkit beta @ MIX’ 10 • Released to manufacturing on Sep 2010 • WP7 released in Europe in October and is coming to US in November • Hardware OEM’s include HTC, Samsung, LG, Sony Ericsson…..

SO WHAT IS WP7 ? • An OS for mobile devices, mainly smartphones • Unlike Symbian & Android, its not free. • Built on top of .NET Compact Framework. • Designed specifically for finger driven interfaces. • Uses OLED(Organic Light Emitting Diode) technology for display • As of now, only C# is supported
