  • 3. Information about the country
    • South Africa is a country situated in the south of África.
    • South Africa is a parlamentary democracy comprising nine provinces which is located at the southern of Africa, with a 2.798 Km coastline on the atlantic and indian oceans.
    • The capitals of South Africa are Pretoria (Executive), Capetown (legislative) and Bloemfontein (judicial).
    • There are two official languages: English and African.

  • 5. Types of climates
    • CLIMATE IN SOUTH AFRICA
    • Climate in South Africa can vary depending of the territory. Usually, it is dry, with moderates temperatures and sunny.
    • In the south, the climate is moderate, but in high zones can presents frosts.
    • In the north East there is a tropical climate.
    • In the western the climate is semiarid.
    • The rainfalls are scanty, about 464 mm.
    • Mosts importants river are Orange river, Vaal river and Limpopo river.

    • South Africa's climate is temperate, with local variations depending on the altitude andthe influence of warm currents in the Indian Ocean on the east coast, and cold currents in the Atlantic Ocean on the west coast. Most of the interior of the country consists ofhighlands, known in South Africa as "Veld", with an altitude ranging between 900 and 1,800 mm. The days are usually shiny and bright with high temperatures in summer and lower temperatures in winter.
