The Who is an English rock band formed by: Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle, and Keith Moon.
It was created in 1964 and continue playing now a days.
It is consider one of the most important rock bands.
Members. (classics) Classics members. Roger Daltrey. Was born the 1 of March of 1944(66 years ). It is the singer and the leader of the band. He acted in the film Lisztomania. Since 1973 he alternate his individual career with the group. Pete Townshend. Was born the 19 of May of 1945. It is the guitarist of the group. His grand mother bought his first guitar when he was12 years old. John Entwistle. Was born the 9 of October of 1944. It was the bassist of the band. He died the 27 of June of 2002 in Las Vegas because of a heart attack. Keith Moon. Was born the 23 of August of 1946. He was the drummer of the band. He died in 1978 by overdose of pills.

At the beginning the band was called Detours.
The member of the group come from different bands.
The Who become one of the most popular groups in England and their fans were mainly Mods.

Some people consider that this songs are the first punk songs.
The band produced new songs and they went on a tour in the United States.

Pete admitted publicly his addiction to the alcohol and advertise that he want to change the style of the group.
In 1983 Pete left the group.

And this year the played in the half-time of the Superbowl.
