  3. 3. <ul><li>Based in San Francisco, CA & New Delhi, India </li></ul><ul><li>Rashmi Sinha (CEO) controls the design of the site and the community. </li></ul><ul><li>Jonathan Boutelle (Head Geek) came up with the initial idea to create SlideShare and wrote the first version of the website. </li></ul><ul><li>Amit Ranjan is the head of the team that built SlideShare. </li></ul>

  6. 6. <ul><li>SlideShare can have many uses in the class. </li></ul><ul><li>You can have the students all make their own SlideShare account because it’s free. </li></ul><ul><li>When you assign presentations to the class, you can have each student upload their PowerPoint presentation to their own SlideShare. </li></ul><ul><li>They can also share it with the rest of the class by sending the link in an e-mail. </li></ul><ul><li>This is a great way for all the students to be able to review everyone’s presentation.. Especially if the information covered is going to be on a test or quiz. </li></ul>
  7. 8. <ul><li>As the teacher, you can upload any presentations that you are going to give to SlideShare so that the students can print it out before class. </li></ul><ul><li>This also lets them pay closer attention to what you’re teaching. </li></ul><ul><li>They can take extra notes rather than scrambling to write down everything on the screen. </li></ul>
  8. 9. <ul><li>SlideShare makes it easier for teachers. </li></ul><ul><li>You can upload all of your presentations onto your own account so that you don’t have to worry bringing your USB… and no worries is you forget it. </li></ul><ul><li>You’re presentations are easily accessible through the website. </li></ul>
