  • 3. This story is all about a spider nicknamed a “ cave robber.” It is the rarest arthropod (8-legged animal). It was found in Oregon by amateur explorers in July 2010. Before, the last spider was discovered in 1870. Trogloraptor
  • 4. Features • Legs with curved, scythelike claws on the end • Lives in caves of southwestern Oregon and old-growth redwood forests • Looks like the brown recluse spider • His name means Troglo- cave dweller /raptor – robber • It is the size of a half-dollar.

  • 6. I predict that it might become very popular. Now I understand how scientists discover new animals. These animals are new to us, but God created every animal in the beginning. There is nothing new under the sun. I feel good because they found this spider.
