The various particular factor tobe considered for EIA are sector specific. However thefollowing are common to EIA’s prepared for all sectors.1. Project anticipation: Describes the proposed project and itsgeographic, ecological social and temporal context .2. Baseline Data : Describes relevant physical and biologicaland socioeconomic conditions including all changesanticipated before the project commences. This stage also defines theboundary and time limit of the study.Impact analysis: This stage of EIA identifies and predicts thelikely environmental and social impact and evaluates the thesignificanceMitigation: This step in EI recommends the actions to reduceand avoid the potential adverse environmental consequencesof the developing activities.
