  • 2. A rainforest is a forest of tall treesin an area with year round warmweather and lots of rain.
  • 3. The temperature in the rainforeststays about the same all yearlong. Rainforest are the wettestland in the world. Some placesget 32 inches a year.
  • 4. Where are the Rainforests? Theyare all over the world. Rainforestsare located around the equator.
  • 5. Rainforests have four parts:1. Emergent Layers- The tallest trees that stick outabove the rest.2. Canopy- the top layer of the forest.3. The understory- the middle layer4. Forest Floor- Bottom layer.
  • 6. Rainforest have more than half ofthe world’s animals and plants.
  • 7. There are five Rainforest in the World. They are theAmazon Rainforest, African Rainforest, AustralianRainforest, Central American Rainforests, SouthernAsian Rainforests.
  • 8. African Rainforest is the secondlargest Rainforest in the world.
  • 9. The Southern Asia rainforest ishome to the world’s largestMangrove forest.
  • 10. The Australian rainforest hasconstant wet wind blowing fromthe ocean.
  • 11. The Central America Rainforesthas thousands of tropical birds.
  • 12. The Amazon Rainforest is theworld’s largest.
  • 13. What are some of the animalsthat live in the Rainforest?
  • 14. Indians live in the Rainforest.
  • 15. The people of the Rainforest are hunters andgatherers. They grow fruits and vegetables. Thehunt wild pigs, deer, alligators, sloths, and monkeys.
  • 16. The Indians live in houses thathave one room and no walls.
  • 17. Here are some of the plants thatgrow in the Rainforest.
