  • 3. Introduction
    • The Texas School Technology and Readiness Chart is an online resource tool for self-assessment of your campus’ and district’s efforts to effectively integrate technology across the curriculum. It was developed around four key areas: Teaching and Learning; Educator Preparation and Development; Leadership, Administration and Instructional Support; and Infrastructure for Technology.

  • 5. School Technology and Readiness Chart
    • Texas Campus Star Chart -is a tool designed for use in technology planning, budgeting for resources and evaluation of progress in local technology projects. It produces a profile of your campus’ status toward reaching the goals of the Long Range Plan for Technology and NCLB.
    • Texas Public Star Chart- is an online tool to allow all stakeholders to view the technology readiness of all campuses across the state.
    • Texas Teacher Star Chart- is to be completed by individual teacher models and correlates with the Texas Campus STaR chart and draws measures from a variety of national and state technology guidelines.

    • Create and/or update the district’s technology plan.
    • Help conceptualize your campus or district’s vision of technology.
    • Set benchmarks and goals.
    • Measure student and teacher proficiencies with regard to technology and integration .
    • Campus and district documentation progress toward meeting NCLB.
    • Apply for grants.
    • Determine funding priorities.
    • Track progress on use of NCLB.
