Co-teaching with Bethany Milton and reading her class handouts for her workshops
inspired me to create my own classes and handouts. They eventually expanded and
morphed into this book. Bethany is an amazing healer and teacher, and I am blessed to
have her as a friend, partner and colleague.

The Origins and Foundations of Now Healing
The Now Healing Energetic Alignment technique, including the Now Healing Space,
Enter, Align, and Disentangle, is my recipe. But Now Healing is also a salad with many
ingredients – some raw and whole and home-grown, and some cooked and lovingly
processed but not of my own making. I named the salad “Now Healing” and humbly put
my signature on it, with no claim of originality. I gratefully acknowledge all the
assembled ingredients, many bits of which are still identifiable in the mix.
Now Healing is informed and inspired by many methods of working with energy that
I’ve learned from others, as well as energetically downloaded from the universal mind.
It's based on a way of shifting energy that is used in many new healing modalities, some
of which are described below. Combining them with my own experience and practice
formed the Now Healing Energetic Alignment technique.
Now Healing 101 is meant to be a very simple entry into the realm of shifting energy
and information directly. This whole is not greater than the sum of its parts, it is merely
packaged for a specific purpose: a synthesis designed to make the process of energy-
shifting easy, clear, normal and accessible to everyone. Changing your energy to change
your reality can become an effortless, enjoyable and normal part of your daily self-care
routine, like taking a shower or making lunch.
The other techniques that constitute some of the main ingredients of Now Healing are:
1) Orin’s techniques for mentally working with energy of any issue. Through Sanaya
Roman, Orin teaches how to make life changes by working with energy directly.
He emphasizes the importance of non-attachment and emotional flow (not holding
on to emotions), and also teaches how to connect with higher will, higher purpose,
higher self and solar light. All of these are major aspects of Now Healing, in a
slightly altered form.
2) The Yuen Method of Chinese Energetics. Developed by Kung Fu Grandmaster
Dr. Kam Yuen, DC, Yuen Method is powerful in two major aspects. First, it
provides a protocol to find the weak energies that underlie any problem. These
energy weaknesses are not obvious, unless you know how to identify them with
energetic testing. Second, the Yuen Method uses an accessible process to
transform this weak energy into strong energy, instantly. This is known as a
correction. Dr. Yuen describes this process in his workshops, and his books
“Instant Rejuvenation” and “Instant Healing.” The Yuen Method ideas and
techniques that have inspired and informed Now Healing include:
b. Making changes rapidly without over-thinking or analyzing;
c. The effectiveness of making energetic changes on the spine using mental
d. The fact that what you think is the problem is not really the problem;
e. The opposite of the “problem” can also be a problem;
f. The effectiveness of separating thoughts, emotions and “feelings”;
g. The effectiveness of making seemingly unrelated things congruent with
each other, or separate from each other, as needed;
h. Using checklists;
i. Computer and technology analogies, the biocomputer, and instant change;
j. Making general changes first, unless specific changes are warranted.
3) Other Healing Systems. Matrix Energetics, ThetaHealing, Dr. Santokh Singh
Khalsa’s Unification technique, Dr. Zhi Gang Sha’s techniques, EFT, Abraham,
Dr. Robert Kandarjian and biologist Rupert Sheldrake’s concept of morphic fields
and his articles about prayer, and many more, informed and supported Now
Healing energy shifting techniques. Now Healing techniques were already well-
formed when I learned Matrix Energetics and ThetaHealing. But both of them
corroborated what was evolving as Now Healing.
4) Other Healers. I’ve learned and synthesized from dozens of colleagues and
healers, and from the Highest Selves of countless clients, students and healing
trade partners. I owe especially deep debts and huge gratitude to Nedi Safa, and
Bethany Milton of Quantum Shift Energetics, for sharing inspiration and
information. Now Healing would not exist without Nedi and Bethany.
5) Information Downloads from the Universal Mind. Co-healing experiences with
many ascended masters and guides, including my personal guides and Holoelim,
and The Thing That Heals, were downloaded through Infinite Self and became
All these systems and techniques do not exist in a vacuum. What seem to be “our
own” ideas and inspirations do not come from the local self. Similar ways of working
with energy are downloading to many people simultaneously, as you have probably
experienced yourself! We all amplify and create the morphic field of human evolution
and healing. So it all becomes a big primordial soup – or a salad – as individual ideas
merge with collective ideas.
What’s the Best Energy-Shifting Technique?
Given all the modalities that use similar-but-slightly-varied means, you have probably
guessed that it doesn’t really matter how the energy is shifted, or which technique you
use. Whether it’s a Yuen Method correction, a Matrix two-point, the Theta state,
Abraham’s “finding a better-feeling thought,” a Donna Eden zip-up, meridian tapping
like EFT, or a Now Healing Enter, the energy will shift – according to the degree of
possibility that your connection provides.
In other words, you set it up the way you want. If you intend to release an emotion,
connect to protection, or invoke a specific idea of God-the-Creator, then that’s what
you’ll get. If you look for neutrality, instant energetic strength and truth, or wild open-
ended transformation, that's what you'll get. If you go beyond your personal intention,
and your connection is infinitely whole, always expanding to the highest vibrations, then
the results are infinite Wholeness.
The best technique is the one that you resonate with, and that works best for you, in
Now Healing is Just One of Many Systems for Shifting Energy.
The actual system is not what’s important, as long as you find one that works for you,
that gets you into an effective healing space. What is important is the fact that you can
work with energy directly – effortlessly and effectively – yourself.
You can enter the morphic field of healing from many different portals. Now Healing
opens one possible doorway out of many... welcome, and come on in!
Introduction: Anyone Can Heal
You are in the midst of an evolutionary leap, whether you know it or not. Humans’
innate ability to heal with energy is being activated, in a global groundswell. Like many
people, you may feel drawn to learning new modes of energetic healing, which,
conveniently, are sprouting up everywhere.
You are pre-wired for working with so-called subtle energy. Your ability to heal with
energy and information is only a matter of making a connection. It’s as simple as
connecting to your feet just by thinking about them. In this course, you’ll learn how to
turn your circuits on, to connect to Wholeness. Like flipping on a light switch, it requires
very little effort or thought.
Anyone can do it. I’ve seen six-year-old children, medical doctors, and even hardened
skeptics, learn to shift energy instantly, with immediate results. There’s no need for
special mystical powers, genius, sainthood or martyrdom. Neither advanced degrees nor
expertise are required.
You don’t have to be intuitive or psychic – your intuition will develop as you do this.
You don’t have to be able to see auras. You’ll learn how to sense energy and shift it, in
an easy, reproducible and streamlined way.
If you’ve never had any training before, don’t worry. Using the Now Healing
techniques presented in this course, you will shift energy effectively and effortlessly. You
can begin using the techniques immediately.
Experienced healers in any field can integrate Now Healing with their existing
techniques. If you’re already an energy healing practitioner, you’re aware that things are
changing quickly in the field. What was true about healing and energy work as little as 5
years ago may no longer apply. Parts of this book that I had written eight months earlier
needed a complete update. If you’re reading this several years after it was updated, the
ideas presented here may also have evolved into a faster, easier, more instant, even more
unlimited form. I encourage you to integrate the techniques you’ll learn in this book into
your existing healing modalities, for faster and deeper results.
The Evolution Revolution
Healing with energy is not a return to archaic shamanic pre-medical traditions. Those
ancient ways form the foundation for the evolution of healing, the ground from which we
leap into the future of wellness and Wholeness – but there’s no going back.
Like most advances, this one tends toward the egalitarian. All through human history,
what once was rare and fantastic progresses into the mainstream. The province of the few
evolves into equality and access for all. The extraordinary becomes normal.
In my childhood, women doctors were unimaginable, or laughable at best. Modalities
like acupuncture and chiropractic seemed ridiculous, strange, even dangerous. Then these
ideas propagated into the collective conscious, becoming more and more accepted and
Humanity’s most obvious recent progress is mostly material and technological. But
technological advances are not the most important component of the evolution of healing.
The technological revolution is only one of many in a series of revolutions – revolutions
of mind. Imagination, not technology, powers transformation.
One of the first pieces of human technology was likely a stick or a rock – a common
object readily available in the environment. Only when mind engaged with it did the stick
transform into a tool. The idea, the thought, “What if…” morphed the stick into a
technology – an instant evolution.
Mind is non-local. That means that thoughts don’t just come from the brain, nor do
they remain in the brain. Thoughts download into your mind. Then they ripple outward.
They connect with sticks, and animate them into tools. They resonate with other minds.
Those other minds pick up other sticks in a collective morphic resonance. Our technology
is matter that we imbue with mind.
Our focus on technology as the main thrust of recent evolution actually limits our
understanding of reality. We assume that, as biological beings, we are separate from
technology. We believe that the best way to get something done, in the physical world, is
to build a machine to do it.
That’s the way we’ve always done it, because we are builders and makers. But as
biological beings, we not only make and use technology, we are not only the model for
technology, we transcend technology. We are infinitely complex and infinitely creative
proto-meta-machines. We are matter imbued with mind, and spirit.
Our body-mind-spirit healing technology contains our own inner energy-sensing and
energy-shifting instruments. This evolving inner technology surpasses the material
technology we’ve invented. You will experience and activate your inner technology as
you do the exercises in this book.
We can have instant access to information held in the universal mind, using this inner
technology. Our pre-existing information management system – housed in the mind,
brain and central nervous system – is programmable. And not only by DNA or eons of
biological evolution. Now, we can program consciously and instantly, with purpose and
intention. All we have to do is provide the software to connect our local minds to the non-
local universal mind.
We can now program ourselves, through our minds, to be more intuitive, healthy,
better functioning, and more optimal in all areas of life. And we can do it ourselves, with
minimal need for outside experts, just as we can connect to the internet, once we set up
our systems to do so.
You are Your Own Expert
The information age has brought the power of instant access to the people. Think back
a mere decade ago. Many of the routine daily tasks that you take for granted today were
impossible and non-existent. Yet now, from where ever you are, in just moments, with no
advanced training or amazing talent, you can blog, tweet, podcast, befriend strangers,
map a place, see your house from space, buy and sell, trade stocks, do legal research, and
investigate the possible side effects of medications – with no need to attend medical, law,
business or engineering school. The old paradigm of jumping hoops and taking time to
become an expert has evaporated. Now you just plug right in to the collective expertise of
humanity. If someone, somewhere, has already thought of it, it becomes available to you
as shareware of the universal mind.
Do-it-yourself instant access has also spread to healing. Welcome to the new age of
healing power to the people!
The notion of self-empowerment is almost quaint, and self-help is the clunky
technology of the 20th
century. You don’t just help yourself anymore, you heal yourself –
and others. And you heal the whole body-mind-spirit self, not just the easy-to-reach
beginner parts like emotions.
You are putting into action the growing understanding that taking full responsibility
for your healing is the most effective way to heal. You need no longer sit around waiting
and hoping to be fixed by experts. You are the expert on yourself. If that sounds a bit
scary, or impossible, have no fear. Taking on your own healing can be effortless, joyful
and so simple you’ll wonder why this isn’t common knowledge.
While there will still be situations in which you’d want to consult an expert, doctor or
healer, or become an expert yourself – I’m not suggesting you operate a nuclear power
plant, or perform brain surgery without training – you can still meet a big chunk of your
own wellness needs. At the very least, you can do energetic first-aid as you wait for an
appointment with a practitioner, and at best, you might resolve your issue with no need
for any outside help.
Healing is a Normal Human Ability
Healing is not a special power reserved for surgeons or shamans. It’s a fundamental
human capacity – as basic as talking, singing or dancing. Wait a minute, you might be
thinking. How can I heal myself or others without any special talent or knowledge? And
how can I heal just by shifting energy? Without touching, and at a distance? This seems
miraculous, and it is – in the same way that spoken language and singing are wondrous
and uncanny. Just think: humans can produce sounds that have distinct, reproducible
meaning, that communicate complex information across open space, without physical
contact or tangible medium!
We learn speaking, singing and dancing as if by osmosis, often without much effort.
Like any normal human ability, working with energy should be learned the same way, but
many cultures suppress any mention of it, because of negative associations with
superstition and the paranormal. However, energy work is absolutely normal – there’s
nothing para about it! Everyone is pre-wired with this ability.
As with speech, song or dance, you might be amazingly talented, and become a
professional – even famous. Or, more likely, you might exercise your ability for personal
use. It would be sad if you never allowed yourself to speak, sing or dance, just because
you didn’t think you’d ever be a great orator, opera star, or prima ballerina.
Like speaking and singing, healing with energy can be a reality for everyone. It’s time
for us to own it. But most of us have been left to stumble onto our healing abilities
accidentally, like a wild child all alone in the woods, never learning human speech.
Until now. New healing modalities like Yuen Method, EFT, Matrix Energetics and
ThetaHealing, to name just a few, are everywhere. Older modalities like Qi Gong and
Reiki have become more and more popular. Humanity is in the throes of a healing
revolution which promises to release a force of change as powerful as any major shift in
our evolution – like the advent of agriculture, the industrial revolution or the age of
reason. This is the age of healing.
1. Healing is Making Whole
Interconnection. Oneness. Wholeness. If you spend any time at all playing in the
energy field of these concepts, the enormity and truth of them become obvious very
The web of life on earth is just one tiny example of this interconnection.
Interconnection extends beyond what is visible, tangible and knowable. The foot bone is,
of course, connected to the ankle bone. It’s also connected to the brain, the mind, the
whale bone, your early hominid ancestor’s bone needle, and the bones of unknown
galaxies. And all of these are interconnected with each other. We are interwoven with all
times, space and dimensions.
Ideally, we are whole, at one with everything. The more connected to Wholeness on
all levels of body, mind, spirit – the healthier we are.
The aim of Now Healing 101 is to guide you to make as many connections to
Wholeness as possible, on the energetic level. The energetic connections you’ll make are
real, and can make real changes in your life.
As you connect to Wholeness, all areas of your existence balance and integrate with
each other. All parts of your body, mind, spirit, energy fields and energy pathways
connect to Wholeness.
All areas of your life integrate and come under the direction of Infinite Self (Highest
Self or Godself). This includes your spiritual evolution, life purpose, your daily life,
habits, career, job, finances, and your relationships with family, friends, co-workers, life
partners – even your non-conscious relationships with ancestors. All your actions and
behaviors, functions and processes work together appropriately.
Space and time are integrated: your environment, feng shui energies, your relationship
with other places and times, all past, present and future time. Even your relationship with
time itself is expanded, and you can transcend into a timeless state at will.
When you are connected with Wholeness, there are no blockages, no problems, no
lack. Your energy field is strong. Every part of you is working properly with every other
part of you, and with everything else in the universe. You are the highest expression of
your self, with no distortion or disconnection in any area.
Disconnection is Inappropriate Connection to Wholeness
The word heal has the same linguistic roots as the word whole. If Wholeness is unity,
oneness and healing, then disconnection from Wholeness is separation and duality that
needs healing. What we aim to repair with this work is disconnection – inappropriate
connection with Wholeness.
When we don’t properly connect with Wholeness, we experience pain, life problems,
or discomfort on some level. Every illness, accident, upset, self-sabotage, life-blockage or
problem of any kind, is a problem of connection.
Whole energy is appropriate, strong, appropriately connected and flowing, neutral,
and normal energy that has no associated problem or issue.
Disconnected energy is inappropriate energy – weak, deficient, blocked,
inappropriately flowing, excessive, or inappropriately entangled with other energies.
Disconnection and Entanglement
Problems of connection generally fall into two categories: too little (Disconnection),
or too much (Entanglement).
Disconnection can come in many forms. It can manifest as complete break, a partial
blockage, or just a slight impediment that you can easily compensate for. Disconnections
can be both physical and energetic – from broken bones and clogged arteries, to breaks in
communication or energy flow.
Your various energies might be disconnected from their power source, or turned off,
like in a circuit or light-switch. They might be weakened in force, as in a twisted hose.
Or, energy might be excessive, out-of-control, turbulent, not flowing smoothly, or
Disconnection can manifest as a weakening of the entire energy field. Or it might
occur in a specific area, like deficient Qi in a particular organ or meridian. It can be on
the cellular level, biochemical, neurological or genetic.
Disconnects are often energetic, before they manifest physically. A disconnection to
life energy may not be obvious at first, but can create symptoms years later. Blockages
can occur on any level of existence, like relationships or life purpose. They can exist
between levels, for instance, mind can be disconnected from body or from spirit.
Entanglement is inappropriate over-connection. We consider entanglement to be an
aspect of disconnection – because even though it is excessive connection, it causes
disconnection from Wholeness. It can manifest in any area, including physical,
emotional, relational, financial and energetic.
An example of entanglement on the physical level is when scar tissue won’t allow
separate parts to move independently. On the mental level, empathetic over-connection
with others can cause you to experience their thoughts or emotions as your own, so you
feel worried, angry or depressed “for no apparent reason.” Another example of
entanglement, on the relationship level, is so-called co-dependency.
Disconnects can be very specific and minute, or very general and broad. And they can
come from anywhere and anything. They hardly ever follow logical or rational
assumptions about cause and effect.
Disconnections and over-entanglements are usually non-conscious. Since the
conscious mind is usually unaware of them, we are often disconnected from seeing our
disconnects, and blocked from knowing our blockages.
No matter what the issue is, no matter what area of existence, no matter how general
or specific, the problem will show up as connection-to-Wholeness issue – and the
solution is appropriate connection.
What You’ll Do in Now Healing 101
You don’t need a secret decoder to find these non-conscious connection issues, or a
magic wand to dissolve them. All you need is two simple techniques that anyone can do –
Energetic Testing and Enter.
In this course, you will learn how to identify disconnections, using a very basic form
of Energetic Testing. More importantly, you will repair that disconnected energy and
connect with Wholeness – using a quick and easy process called Enter.
You’ll shift energetic disconnects in many areas, including your goals, health,
thoughts and emotions. You’ll learn to align with the energy of what you want, and
disentangle from the energy of what you don’t want. You’ll repair many common
energetic disconnects, quickly and easily.
As you go through the exercises in Now Healing 101, energy shifting will become
routine, matter-of-fact, no big deal. You can learn to apply it to any area of your life.
Please actually use what you learn here. It’s not a concept to grapple with, or a lofty
philosophy to think about, it’s a tool. It’s only effective if you put it to use.
Healing is Connecting to Wholeness
In this stage of evolution, healing goes far beyond the rudiments of curing disease and
searching for fixes to health problems. It involves much more than just eliminating
symptoms and getting people “better” or back to their so-called normal state.
Healing is the path to Wholeness. In the process of becoming whole on all dimensions
and levels, healing happens. From the closing of the tiniest scrape on your pinky toe, to
the remission of serious illness, to transforming tribal trauma into forgiveness and
reconciliation towards a former enemy – healing is whole-ing.
The term healing, as used in Now Healing 101, does not mean curing or helping or
normalizing. It is not therapy of any kind. It cannot be isolated into strictly physical
changes, or mental changes, or any single realm of being. Healing is re-establishing
connection to Wholeness on all levels of existence.
Healing re-integrates every aspect of being – not just the part where a specific
problem manifests. It unblocks the natural process of self-repair, but that’s only the
beginning. The true purpose of healing is not just making well, but making whole.
Wellness is just a side-effect of Wholeness.
Healing in the specific, local sense of improving from injury or illness, is an
automatic process, innate in every life-form. Life itself is a state of constant regeneration
– the body perpetually self-repairs, with no need for conscious intervention. Cuts, bruises,
sprains, infections, trauma, rage, grief… these usually resolve by themselves over time,
as the organism self-heals, without outside help from doctors, medications, herbs or
So what about chronic illness, infectious disease, injury, chronic depression,
emotional trauma, poverty, war, environmental degradation or other imbalances? If life
continually creates healing and mending, what causes disease and degeneration, crisis,
failure and bad stuff in general? Disconnection! If any system – a plant, a mammal, a
river, a car, a culture – is disconnected from its source of energy, repair and regeneration,
it eventually decays, degenerates or stops functioning. Whether it’s body, mind or spirit,
the appropriate connection to Wholeness heals.
Healing with Energy and/or Matter
Healing has many possible modes and pathways. The standard medical approach
involves mostly physical changes – surgery, medication, physical therapy and so on. But
healing can also be accessed through energy.
Everyone knows, at least in theory, that everything is made up of both matter and
energy. Our physical bodies, our homes, relationships, jobs, finances, goals and fears –
all have both physical and non-physical aspects.
Each solid part of you, as well as each process and function, has an energetic
component. Your breath, blood, waste elimination, and information processing, are all
powered and connected by this energy. A blocked or stagnant flow of energy, like
stagnant water, is unhealthy.
In a river, stagnant water pools behind a blockage of fallen branches, disconnected
from the more energetic flow of the stream. This still water attracts mosquitoes –
analogous to unwanted organisms infecting a stagnant body. You can kill the mosquitoes,
but they will come back unless the stagnation is eliminated. However, if you increase the
water’s energy so that it circulates, the mosquitoes will go away – the environment will
no longer be hospitable to them. The appropriate flow of energy – whether in a river or in
a human body – allows self-healing to occur naturally.
To heal any area of our lives, we can target for improvement either the matter
component, or the energy component. In our mosquito-infested stagnant water analogy,
physically removing debris and matter plugging up the stream will increase the flow and
energy of the water. Or an increase in the energy of the water will increase its force,
flushing the blockage of matter downstream. Matter and energy are interrelated. When
one changes, it affects the other.
Everyone is familiar with using matter to affect health. It’s what doctors do when they
set a broken bone or remove a tumor, and what you do when you take vitamins and herbs,
ice an injury, or gargle with salt water to remove inflammation from a sore throat. This
creates the physical environment for the body to self-repair.
Many healing modalities work with both the energy and the matter components of our
bodies. Chiropractors adjust the spine physically, but may also remove energy blockages
in the form of stuck emotions. Acupuncturists insert physical needles to open energy
pathways in the body. They also might prescribe herbs for their energetic properties, not
just their mechanical properties – to increase yin energy, or remove excess heat. This
accesses the energy component through physical means.
Other modalities bypass the physical, to work directly with energy – without physical
contact. They create the energetic environment for self-repair. It takes much less effort to
shift the underlying energy of a problem than it is to physically or mechanically shift the
problem itself. How do you shift energy? With energy and information!
What Kind of Energy is used in Energy Healing and Energy Medicine?
In my experience, the terms energy healing and energy medicine are misnomers, or at
least limited understandings of what’s actually happening. But I grudgingly use them
anyway, because there’s no better-recognized term in use at this time. Now Healing does
not strictly deal with energy – it also deals with information, like collective thought-
forms, expectations, psychic resonance with ancestors, and archetypes. But for the sake
of keeping things related to currently established categories, I’m going with the term
energy healing… for now! (The phrase information healing is too clunky, even though
it’s somewhat accurate.)
Energy Medicine works with so-called subtle energies, as well as electromagnetism.
The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) divides the
energies used in energy medicine into two convenient yet artificial categories. Veritable
energies can be measured. They include light, lasers, sound and electromagnetism. The
second type, lumped under the questionable term of Putative energy, is closer to what
we’ll work with in this book. Putative energy has yet to be measured or scientifically
proven. Therapies using various kinds of putative energy include acupuncture,
homeopathy, qi gong, Therapeutic Touch, Reiki, and various forms of distant healing.
The concept of the biofield has been proposed to describe some kinds of putative
energies, which include life energy, vital energy, Qi, the aura, chakras, meridians and so
on. Recently, there’s been an explosion of research on these energies. Science is just
beginning to try to detect Qi, though Acupuncture has been used effectively for at least
2,500 years even without the benefit of scientific proof.
Skeptics may dispute the existence of this kind of energy precisely because it has not
yet been measured. But that’s not a cause for concern in this work – we do it even though
we can’t fully explain it. We experience many other energies which science has not
successfully measured – like love, the affect of music, the beauty of nature, the
deliciousness of yummy muffins, why your joke is funnier when Joe tells it, spiritual
experience, and God. The closest science has come to quantifying these meta-scientific
energies is to measure their effect as reduced to brain wave states or aggregates of
Skeptics often forget that the ability to measure and quantify something is not a
prerequisite for its existence. We encourage them to examine their belief systems –
including two major irrational beliefs: that proof is always required for everything, and
that everything falls under the jurisdiction of science.
Healing is Not Science
Science, in order to function as intended, needs to be analytical, reductive, causal and
materialistic, whereas healing needs to be integral, expansive, non-causal and meta-
materialistic. Science takes rational steps, while healing takes leaps. Healing, unlike
medicine, exists outside of the realm of science.
Many new healing modalities seek to justify and validate the seemingly woo-woo
qualities of healing with science – particularly with so-called quantum physics. This
“science” is often riddled with errors that enable easy scientific refutation… and ridicule
from scientists. I admit, it is fun to create poetically elegant metaphors for healing using
science-style terms. But often it ends up as embarrassing if non-scientists insist on its
Healing is not a science. It’s not an art. It’s not a philosophy. It’s not spirituality or
metaphysics. Healing exists in its own realm. It connects all realms and all levels of
existence. When we try to limit it, defining it as a set of basic components, it stops being
healing and becomes the art of healing, or the religion of faith, or the science of biology,
or medicine or psychology or philosophy – all of which are valid but incomplete. Healing
is Wholeness – immeasurable. And it can be accessed through connection to Wholeness,
through energy and information.
Beyond Traditional Energy Healing
The Now Healing energetic technique that you will learn in this course is only one of
many possible ways of working with energy. Just as healing with matter can take many
different forms, healing with energy comes in dozens of systems and techniques.
Some traditional methods – what I call “old school energy healing” – involve running
energy, transmitting energy through the hands, cutting energetic cords, or working with
the chakras and the aura.
Now Healing is not traditional energy work. It does not rely on manipulating energy
or sending energy – although that can be a result. It does not work strictly with what is
known as the human energy field or the biofield (chakras, auras, meridians, Qi, life
force), or the soul or spirit.
Now Healing does access energy, but not just biofield energy. It takes into account all
the myriad energies that influence us – energies that include but are not limited to the
biofield, qi and the province of old-school energy healing. Here are a few examples of the
many other levels and kinds of energy we affect: the zero point field (the lowest possible
background electromagnetic energy in the vacuum of space); the macrocosmic energies
of universes; the mind of the collective consciousness; conscious thought and the entire
non-conscious realm; ancestral patterns that get passed down through generations; DNA;
information processing in the body; the energy of individual cells, organ systems; all
body functions and processes; geopathic and planetary energies; electromagnetic and
gravitational fields, feng shui; language and other communication; social interactions;
archetypes; race, religion, gender and nationality; spiritual connections; other universes
and other dimensions… to name just a few.
Now Healing can interact with any of these energies. And yes, it also works with the
biofield and the human energy field of chakras, qi and auras. But most powerful of all,
Now Healing works with the energy of information, and morphic fields.
Energy and Information
Information is the relationship between things rather than a thing itself. When you
change that relationship ever so slightly – even by one bit – energy shifts and reality
Here’s an analogy based on electric circuitry: traditional energy healing must use
power and work to move energy. Now Healing requires very little actual power. It just
flips on switches for circuits that were turned off, or shifts bits of information, allowing
communication and energy to flow and move.
It takes a lot of energy and effort to affect physical matter. It takes less energy to
change energy, depending on what kind of energy you’re trying to change. But it takes
only a very tiny amount of energy to shift information.
So how do you shift information to make changes in energy fields and connect to
Wholeness? With the awareness of the mind. Everything is energy, including the mind –
so we use it to access both energy and information.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this kind of mind energy is called Shen. Shen is
actually more like mind-spirit energy, rather than a left-brained western view of mind as
intelligence. Shen, along with Qi, is one of the “three treasure” energies. But the way
you’ll learn to use this mind energy is different from traditional usage in Shen Gong or Qi
Gong. You will use your mind to focus your attention in a particular way – to access
information, and all the energies available, in all times, spaces and dimensions.
Many energy healing techniques work with the realm of the mind, beliefs and
emotions, in various ways. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and other Meridian
Tapping Techniques (MTT) clear negative emotions, which underlie many – but certainly
not all – problems. Clearing negative emotions and thoughts can have a huge effect, but
it’s important to remember that the emotional and mental realms are just a small part of
reality. There are an infinite number of other areas that influence us. EFT and MTTs are
very simple and straightforward, and I highly recommend them for self-healing to
eliminate negative emotions and the problems they cause. But they are limited – they
require you to recognize and state a problem in order to shift it. But often, what you
consciously think is the problem is not usually where the energy needs to be repaired.
You Can Change Energy Instantly
Changing energy consciously is easy. There’s no need to implant crystals in your
forehead, go on a strict diet of tree nut broth, or meditate for hours to get in touch with
your inner space alien.
You shift energy all the time, without even trying, whether you’re conscious of it or
not. Every thought, emotion, action and breath has an effect on your energy field, and the
energy of those around you. Every time you change positions in your chair, make a minor
decision, state an opinion, or rearrange your furniture just because it feels better that way,
you are shifting energy – whether you are aware of it or not.
We know from physics that whenever a change happens – any kind of change –
energy is involved. Whether it’s a rocket lifting off the earth’s surface, a cell dividing, or
going from state of deep sleep to REM sleep, change is always accompanied by a change
in energy. An energy shift always causes a reality shift – even if it’s minute and subtle.
Since you are already completely effective at shifting energy, it’s easy to take the
obvious next step. You can learn to shift energy consciously and with intention.
In this course, you will learn the Now Healing Enter process that instantly shifts your
energy, to unblock your innate, automatic self-healing and self-repair pathways. With this
simple process that takes only seconds to do, you can heal yourself and others. And as
you heal, as you become whole, you make a huge difference in transcending the problems
we face as humans and as dwellers on earth. You fulfill Gandhi’s request and bring it into
the present moment: you are the change you want to see in the world.
A Brief Introduction to the Now Healing Enter Process
Please note: in earlier Now Healing materials and videos, Enter is referred to as
Energetic Alignment and Wholeness Alignment. These terms are all synonymous. Enter
just sounds less clunky!
Now Healing has two major aspects. The first is a simple set of techniques for sensing
and shifting energy. We’ll do a quick introduction to one of the techniques below – the
Enter process – so you can get a feel for it as soon as possible. The second major aspect
is the Now Healing Space, which we’ll delve into in Chapter 2.
There are many ways to work with energy in order to heal. But the Now Healing
Enter process you’ll learn here happens to be very simple, and powerful – and completely
effective at shifting energy.
Now Healing doesn’t just shift the energy of an issue or problem, it also changes
information. You can transcend a problem by shifting it on the energetic level. Einstein
is attributed with saying “"You cannot solve a problem from the same consciousness that
created it. You must learn to see the world anew.” That’s exactly what we’re doing when
we work with the energy field of the problem rather than the experience of the problem.
A Now Healing Enter at its most basic, is like pressing the enter button for your body-
mind-spirit, instantly connecting to Wholeness. Enter can also access precise healing and
repair of very specific issues, and align you with particular goals.
Enter is a shockingly simple and fast procedure. It takes much less time to actually do
it (about one second) than it takes to explain it. Similar to making a split-second decision,
the explanation is far more complex than the act.
What is Enter? It’s an instant connection to Wholeness, in the form of a simple
mental awareness or kinesthetic focus on your Center.
Where is the Center? It goes from the base of the spine, extending up and out the
top of the head.
We’ll discuss all this in more detail in later chapters. Like learning a language through
immersion, let’s start you out by doing-without-knowing-what-you’re-doing.
You don’t have to understand what this energy is, where it comes from, or how it’s
possible to do. You can flip on a light switch or use the internet without understanding
how it works, or even without believing that it will work. And you can do Enter the same
way, because you are pre-wired to do so. All you have to do is flip on the switch that
allows communication between your body-mind-spirit and Infinite Self. How? Simply
make contact with your Center using a gentle mental awareness.
You can do this without any further explanation. So let’s do an Enter right now.
∞ Exercise 1: A Simple, General Enter
To Enter, make contact with your Center, by becoming aware of it. Mentally place
your attention on your Center: start at the base of your spine, and move your attention
quickly upward, out the top of your head. There, that’s it, you’ve just done an Enter!
If you prefer a kinesthetic approach, or if you have difficulty focusing your awareness
on your Center, try this: point at your Center with your hand. Sweep your hand up along
the front of your body while pointing at your Center. Or just feel the awareness moving
up. You can also visualize or imagine seeing, in your mind’s eye, going from the base of
your spine out the top of your head. Do another Enter.
Perceiving a Shift
Can you perceive a shift, a slight difference? Did you take a deeper breath without
trying? Did your shoulders relax a bit? Did your spine tingle slightly? Did your chest
open? Do you feel lighter or more aware? If any one of these slight changes occurred, it’s
a good indication that your energy shifted. If you don’t notice any difference, or if you’re
uncertain that anything changed, try it again. Using your mind to place a gentle attention
on your spine, sweep that focus up and out the top of your head. Now notice any subtle
changes in how you feel. If you do feel different, it’s not your imagination!
What just happened?
You just shifted your energy and connected to Wholeness. You accessed your energy
field and your physical body simultaneously. This caused them to integrate, and work
As you can see, you don’t need psychic ability, strong intuition or extraordinary
mental powers in order to shift energy. You don’t have to be aware of auras or be
hypersensitive to energy.
Energy-shifting is easy and automatic, with a light, non-attached intention or gentle
awareness. The Enter process effortlessly transforms disconnected energy into connected,
normal and appropriate energy. Like flipping a circuit on, your energy field is now
stronger, and more connected to universal energy.
You’ll learn how to apply Enter effectively, for specific results, in later chapters. I
just wanted you to experience the feeling of it now, in case you’re impatient to get
2. The Now Healing Space
Now Healing is Both a Technique and an Energetic Field
Most energy healing modalities present themselves as a set of techniques and tools.
Do these steps, take these breaths, tap here, send energy there, say this mantra, write that
affirmation, practice this posture.
Now Healing does use specific techniques and steps. However, there’s something
even more important and more effective than the process. Now Healing is primarily an
energy field or morphic field, not a set of actions. The process is merely a convenient way
to enter that field.
The Now Healing Space
For simplicity’s sake, we’ll refer to this field as the Now Healing Space. It’s not
strictly a space, but space is an easily recognizable word to most people, whereas energy
field might be daunting, and morphic field (which is actually the best definition) might
not mean anything at all to most people.
The Now Healing Space is a state of connection to Wholeness. You are one with the
universal mind, and you have instant access to its information. In this space, shifting
energy is easy and effective.
Don’t worry, getting into the Now Healing Space is not a mystical, difficult or lengthy
process. With a only a little bit of practice, you’ll be able to attain it confidently, quickly
and easily, in less than two seconds.
Of course, it is possible to do healing without consciously being in the Now Healing
Space. The Now Healing Space is just one of many ways to access healing. But it
happens to be very easy and effective. It’s like a pre-assembled template for transforming
and transcending your issue.
The Now Healing Space is a doorway to Wholeness. All you need to do is Enter, and
transformation happens. You are now the healer, rather than the person needing healing.
Change happens automatically when you enter this energy field.
So how do you enter this doorway to Wholeness – how do you enter the Now Healing
Space? An easy way is to do an Enter, like the one you did in Exercise 1. Let’s do
another more specific Enter, to align you with the Now Healing Space.

The Many Aspects and Levels of The Now Healing Space
So what do all those terms in the above exercise mean? Since Now Healing 101 is a
“how-to” manual, not a treatise on spirituality, I’ve tried to keep the philosophizing to a
minimum, with just enough explanation to allow you to proceed with the techniques.
That said, a brief description of some terms we’ll be using throughout this course will be
useful. Let’s look at some aspects of the Now Healing Space.
Please note: You will not need to actively remember all these aspects. Like pressing
the enter button on your computer, you don’t need to know the details of how it works
and how the information gets processed. The connections and alignments to the
transcendent states listed below are achieved non-consciously, in the Now Healing Space.
Non-attachment opens up infinite possibility when you cultivate it in your personal
life. But that’s a separate course entirely! For now, we’ll limit the discussion to the
aspects of non-attachment that prepare you to work with energy and information, in the
Now Healing Space.
- Non-attachment to ego is an integral part of the Now Healing Space. It’s a state
of being that transcends your individual personality self. It allows connection to
Wholeness. It is non-local. Ego, however, is the local “I” that exists as separate
from the whole.
o “I” don’t heal others. The information about what needs to happen in order
for healing to take place is not stored in my local mind or my limited
personality self. It’s not my personal talents or my amazing super-powers
that do the healing. The more “I” can get out of the way, the more complete
the healing. “My” best healing results happen when “I” get out of the way.
o Ego greatly hampers healing results, because of its attachments, limited
scope and inherent disconnection from everything that’s not the individual
o Non-attachment to ego allows you a higher perspective, beyond your
personal intention and beyond your personal will – from the perspective of
- Non-attachment to expectations – Whether negative or positive, whether
conscious or not, your expectations can obscure the actual truth. Even positive
expectations, if you’re over-attached to them, can function as limitations and skew
your observation of reality. It’s more effective to let go of expectations.
o Yes, I’m telling you to let go of positive expectations. This may seem to
contradict a lot of manifestation techniques, the law of attraction, and “the
power of positive thinking.” But the path between an expectation and an
outcome is hardly ever direct and clean. Expectations influence outcome,
but because, unbeknownst to you, they are often attached to ego or
entangled with other energies, they may not create the outcome you want.
o That’s not to say that you will never have any expectations in your life –
just don’t be overly attached to them, be aware of them, and allow them to
dissipate before you do this work. In the Now Healing Space, you’ll
- Non-attachment to assumptions – Assumptions are unexamined, habitual
thoughts, not necessarily based on truth. It’s important to do this work at a remove
from your assumptions. Assumptions about the origins of the problem or issue
you’re addressing might come from opinions, generalizations, ancestral habits, or
conventional thinking, not from observing the truth in the moment. Observe and
recognize your assumptions for what they are, and be willing to let them go.
- Non-attachment to outcome – If you want healing, for yourself or others, allow
for that healing to take any form. Be non-attached to whether you get, or don’t get,
the kind of improvement you want. This actually makes improvement more likely.
Attachment to a particular outcome becomes a limitation when it causes an
inability to accept infinite possibility and change.
o If you want something too much, it will weaken your energy field. On the
other hand, if you cannot allow an outcome, you dread it, or hate the very
idea of it on principle, it will also cause energetic weakness, entanglement
o Let go of needing to heal or rescue people. You cannot take responsibility
for anyone’s healing or outcome. If you do, the results will not be optimal.
It can be hard to let go this way, but it’s much more effective and healing.
Letting go doesn’t mean running away from the problem in a heartless way,
or hopelessly giving up. It means that you relinquish personal control,
which allows a higher vibration, and divine intervention. Let go of your
individual, egoic role, and instead bring the situation into greater
connection with Wholeness.
- Non-attached compassion – Over-compassion weakens your energy field and
takes you out of your center. It blocks your ability to step out of ego. An overly-
empathetic connection to the issue you’re healing will entangle and attach your
personality, your emotions and your assumptions to the issue. However, non-
attached, high-vibration compassion transcends the local mind and emotions. It
keeps you effective, centered, and connected to Wholeness.
- No judgement – Judgement attaches a thought, assumption and/or emotion to a
situation. Perceiving the issue neutrally, accurately and truthfully, without
entangling personal or collective opinions, brings a highly increased possibility of
In the Now Healing Space, you will easily connect to these many facets of non-
attachment. That leads to Wholeness, and greater healing possibilities.
Neutrality is a powerful result of non-attachment, egolessness and connection to
Wholeness. When you operate from neutrality, your perceptions are true and undistorted
by pre-conceptions and judgements.
What does neutrality feel like? It’s a state of being centered – dynamically balanced
and dynamically stable. You’re not easily upset, stressed, or overly bothered by anything.
You can deal with negativity. Circumstances don’t put you out of balance. Even if a
negative situation is occurring, when you remain neutral, you operate from a position of
strength, of appropriate energy flow. You are at your center. Nothing weakens your
Neutrality is one of the main ingredients of Yuen Method, which is what makes Yuen
Method so powerful and effective. Other methods also mention that neutrality is
important, but often don’t place enough emphasis on it. In my experience, neutrality is
not only important, it’s primary. Not getting neutral causes “error” to accumulate, in the
form of opinions and assumptions, or resonance and empathy that causes the practitioner
to be less than optimally clear.
In Now Healing, you get neutral in order to calibrate your inner technology to
zero before each use. When you use a scale to weigh yourself, you want to make sure
that the arrow is at zero, otherwise you won’t get an accurate reading. With energy and
information, you’re not just dealing with a single factor like weight on a scale. You’re
dealing with an infinite number of factors that can allow inaccuracy, so it’s even more
essential to calibrate your system to balance, to zero. Working from neutrality resets your
clarity and cleans out any energetic gunk, attachments, thoughts and limiting beliefs.
Neutrality is just good practice when doing energy work. Without it, practitioners
complain about picking up negative energy, or getting fatigued, burnt out, confused or
unable to sense and discern energy.
For some, the word “neutral” can have negative connotations, like a lack of
compassion, being uninvolved or uncaring. Let’s get neutral to these meanings of the
word! Neutrality does imply a certain remove, but it is a healthy, balanced state, rather
than an inability to connect.
When you are neutral to a specific issue, your energy field is not weakened or
adversely affected by that issue. Whatever your problem is, neutrality to the problem will
help evaporate it.
Neutrality is an absolute requirement for effectively doing the techniques presented in
this course, including accurate Energetic Testing (discussed in Chapter 3) and Enter. If
you are not neutral when you do this work, your results will be greatly impaired. And
besides, neutrality is a great life lesson! But you don’t have to go on a spiritual quest for
neutrality. The Enter process for neutrality will get you neutral in seconds.
When you are in a non-attached, centered and neutral state – connected to Wholeness
– there are no limitations or restrictions to healing yourself or others. (I’m not saying that
you will always perform miraculous healings every single time you are neutral… just that
it’s much more possible, and indeed common, for so-called miracles to occur in that
Limitations result from a disconnection to Wholeness, or from over-entanglement
with inappropriate energy or information. Limitations can obviously come from fear, or
inability to let go of trauma. They come from the conscious mind’s opinions and
reactions, the personality self, the ego. But even more often, they come from the non-
conscious realm, the collective mind, and psychic resonance with other people or
ancestors. In the Now Healing Space, you transcend limitations as you align with Infinite
Self and Wholeness.
What about common-sense limitations, or obviously immutable physical laws? How
do you transcend a concrete wall, or the earth’s gravitational field? What about the
ultimate limit – death? Conventional wisdom states that there’s nothing you can do, just
accept these limits. That may be true if you’re only operating on the physical level. But
working with the energetic components, anything is possible, because energy shifts much
more easily than matter.
Even on the physical level, every barrier begs to be broken. Human history overflows
with accounts of overcoming impossibility. How many tales tell the familiar story: “They
said it was impossible, yet we overcame!” “He had terminal cancer, yet he was
miraculously cured.” Myriad variations on this theme continue to amaze us, no matter
how many times we’ve heard it before.
Physical limitations, when shifted energetically, are no more real than mental limits.
They are simply more tangible. What makes a limitation? The thought of limitation!
The biggest thing that’s blocking you is the thought that something’s blocking you.
So if anyone tells you that there are restrictions and conditions to healing, like “It’s an
incurable disease” or “It will take 6 weeks to heal” or “You always have to ask
permission before you do energy work” or “You have to have a certain level of soul
standing in order to be a real healer” or “Be careful not to take on anyone’s negative
energy” – don’t buy it! Get neutral, without being confused by other people’s limitations,
or the energy of the past or the future. Getting neutral and non-attached to the outcome is
The best way to transcend limitations is to get neutral to them.
You can shift any limits towards infinity, when you work with energy and
information. It’s possible to shift anything, on the energetic level. And that’s not all. In
the realm of energy-shifting, not only is anything possible, but anything can work! Any
way that you perceive the energy and information – as long as you’re non-attached and
neutral – is correct and effective. You can see it in your mind’s eye, feel it as an almost
tactile sensation, or just know it with cognition. Whatever you “do” with the energy and
information, in this state, will have an effect. It may feel like you’re just pretending that
there are no limits. That’s fine – you’ll get used to it!
Dr. Richard Bartlett of Matrix Energetics demonstrates how even if it feels like you’re
just making stuff up – like imagery, mentally manipulating space and time, and bending
the rules of reality – it creates real changes in the physical world.
There’s no need to try and explain why it works. The explanation will not get results –
the experience will! An easy, non-woo-woo way to transcend limitations, is to simply
enter the Now Healing Space of non-attachment, egolessness and neutrality.
Transcend the Dualities of Problem and Solution, Cause and Effect
In the Now Healing Space, you don’t solve problems – you transcend them. To meta-
paraphrase Einstein, you don’t deal with a problem from the same mindset, the same
dimension, that contains the problem. Zoom up and out from the problem, and enter the
Now Healing Space, which is on a different plane altogether.
As Dr. Kam Yuen points out, what you think is the problem is not the problem. Your
real “problem” may be non-conscious, or in another dimension altogether. It is much
more useful to search for answers outside of your local mind. However, even trying to
find the real problem, or the hidden cause, like Yuen Method does, can be misleading.
Asking what caused a problem is usually the wrong question. Emotion-filled
questions like “Why is this happening to me?” or logical thoughts like “If I could only
find the cause, I could fix the problem” or even questions like “What are the hidden
energetic causes?” – these keep you in a dimension of duality, of cause and effect,
problem and solution. The way you phrase your question will limit your answer.
Don’t assume that a problem actually has a cause that needs to be found. That
assumption confuses cause with correlation. Just because things are related and
entangled doesn’t mean that they caused the problem. It’s the entanglement of issues,
more than the actual issues themselves, that creates restriction of appropriate energy flow,
which we then experience as a “problem.” (We’ll discuss Disentanglement in Chapter 4.)
Instead of asking why, expand your awareness to transcend duality, and open to
infinite possibility. In the Now Healing Space, we transcend and disentangle the myriad
correlations that seem to “cause” problems. The problem evaporates.
The Now Healing Space enables clarity of awareness and discernment. All your
senses are disentangled yet integrated. Physical senses as well as intuitive senses are
accurate and appropriately interconnected. Your perception is clear and non-attached. It
is connected to Wholeness and Infinite Self. You have the ability to perceive any
situation, without distortion, in the present moment. You discern what is.
You are not attached to any habitual reactions about the information you perceive.
You interpret the energy of each area of life – each body part, each thought, each
relationship – accurately. You don’t amplify or distort the energy of one area with energy
from other areas. As you keep each life area free from entanglement, with appropriate
energetic boundaries, you have more freedom and more possibility.
You are not confused by prior judgements, beliefs and opinions. You are not attached
to the conclusions you arrived at ten years or ten minutes ago. The future and the past
dissipate, without adding confusion and distortion to the present.
As you practice Now Healing, you’ll practice instant awareness. But even beyond that
healing space, you’ll become more and more able to discern subtle changes in energy,
moment by moment, in your personal life. Your awareness of these shifts reinforces
them, allowing them to snowball into larger and larger changes.
You are expanding your awareness so that it includes the ability to perceive instant,
tangible changes in energy. Sometimes the change you observe is subtle, sometimes it’s
very obvious. The more you are able to discern how these energy shifts manifest in all
your enhanced senses, in your normal physical sensations, your emotions, and your
thoughts, the more you’ll be able to notice real changes in your life. And what’s more,
learning to discern and acknowledge subtle improvements will attract more and more
The kind of awareness we’ll work with is very simple, and doesn’t involve any super-
human perceptions. You will simply learn to discern the difference between energy that’s
connected or disconnected – in Chapter 3 (Energetic Testing).
Enhanced Sense Perception
In the Now Healing Space, you not only heal from beyond your individual, local
consciousness – you transcend everyday perception as needed. Some people would call
this intuition. But make sure you are non-attached to opinions and expectations about
intuition. Intuition has connotations of wishy-washiness and whim. However, if you
know how to read the information you’re getting intuitively, it really is more like any
other sensory information. Let’s call it Enhanced Sense Perception. We’ll discuss this in
greater detail in Chapter 3 (Energetic Testing).
With Enhanced Sense Perception, all your senses, including so-called Extra-Sensory
Perception (ESP) and your cognition and knowingness, are integrated and working
effectively. You can even operate outside of time and space – beyond duality itself. You
enter the realm of instant healing.
Zooming in and out. A great way to feel or visualize the enhanced expansiveness of
the Now Healing Space, as you travel up the Center, is to imagine zooming up into
infinity. You can see and sense the universe and beyond, from the vantage point of the
infinite. You can change your scale of perception in any direction, and to any order of
magnitude. Zoom out and observe reality from above the earth, from the infinitely large
cosmic scale. Zoom in to the infinitesimally small microcosmic levels of cells, molecules
and beyond… down to the quantum level and the zero point field.
Expanded Consciousness can be Normal Everyday Consciousness
Even though it accesses many states of consciousness, the Now Healing Space is not
an altered state of consciousness. It is not meditation, shamanic trance or hallucination.
You are fully present and completely aware.
It is no longer necessary to go into a trance, a meditative state or intentionally be in an
altered brain wave state to do healing. We are multi-dimensional beings. We can operate
on many levels of consciousness and many dimensions at once, while still being
grounded, present, aware and able to do normal activities.
This multi-dimensional expanded-yet-normal consciousness is a new condition for
humans that may not have been widespread just a few years ago. Now, all you need to do
is just get into a healing space and matter-of-factly shift some energy.
In the Now Healing Space, you are simultaneously expanded and grounded; multi-
dimensional and yet fully functional in your everyday life on earth.
Wholeness transcends time and space, existing both simultaneously and sequentially,
in the eternal present moment. Presence allows neutrality, non-attachment, and awareness
of the truth, without distortion. Entangled past traumas and future fears disappear when
you are present, because they are not happening now.
An active mind has its appropriate time and place. But entry into the healing space
begins with a quiet mind, without mental chatter and mental loops – a state of being
beyond the thinking mind.
The simple act of focusing on your Center – beginning at the base of the spine and
continuing up and out the top of the head – will quiet your local mind and bring you into
the super-conscious mind.
“But how do I stop over-thinking?” There’s no need to over-think your over-thinking!
It’s not about taking any action, or knowing or understanding. It’s a simple change of
energy, of perspective, a decision to let go. Step back from your thoughts – pretend to
take a step backwards, so you’re standing outside of an imaginary circle that contains
your thoughts. Now you’re observing your conscious, thinking mind, from the outside.
Your conscious mind only connects to a tiny fraction of available information, and is
just a small part of your existence. In the Now Healing Space, you step out of the
thinking part, into the larger flow of Wholeness.
A simple intentional thought is enough to take you into the Now Healing Space. Yes,
it is a thought, but it’s not over-thinking. It’s a single focused thought, without other
thoughts attached. It will feel like a quiet, easy split-second decision, without any
additional entangled thinking.
When you’re in a state of quiet mind, in the Now Healing Space, any thoughts that
come are communications from the Universal Mind.
In the Now Healing Space, you have access to all information, because you’re aligned
with the Universal Mind. You can communicate with your future self, past self,
ancestors, angels, ascended masters and your own personal guides. The Now Healing
Space is aligned with what Orin calls Divine Will. Feel free to call in any systems,
knowledge, information and telepathically access them through the Now Healing Space.
The Heart Space is not an emotional space, nor is it your heart chakra or physical
heart. It’s not about feeling love, although in the heart space you are very likely to
experience that! It’s an energy field, and more. In his book “The Physics of Miracles,”
Richard Bartlett says “Through the heart field, you have access to the zero-point energy
field, the unlimited potential energy of the universe.”
Integrated Mind – Heart – Senses
Going to your Center automatically accesses all aspects of the Now Healing Space
including the Heart Space and your physical heart, the Universal Mind and your local
mind, your Enhanced Senses, and your whole body. Everything is integrated, in dynamic
balance. Every aspect of yourself is aligned with every other aspect, in this space. All
permutations and combinations are congruent with each other. You are Whole!
Allowing Change and Instant Shifts
If you’re going to do this work, you might as well be okay with allowing change.
Leave your resistance at the door, and get ready to shift… Now! In the Now Healing
Space, we transcend the need to ask permission, or mentally/emotionally process each
change. You can do those things if you want, but they are not necessary, and not part of
Now Healing. The shifts happen beyond time, beyond your conscious mind and
emotions. If you prefer to go slower and process, there are plenty of other effective
methods that allow you to do that (for example, Byron Katie’s The Work is a wonderful,
deep, step-by-step process). But in Now Healing, we do it the quick and easy way – we
take an instant quantum leap. Allow yourself to discern the instant changes.
If you don’t believe that you, as your personality self, your local self, can achieve
these energy shifts, you’re right. You can’t! And neither can I. But in the Now Healing
Space, you’re working from beyond your local self. You are Infinite Self. Every energy
shift effectively creates change, every time, without exception. You are always effective!
And you can instantly align with ever-greater effectiveness, in the Now Healing Space.
All the above being said, don’t take the Now Healing Space too seriously. Attaining it
is not about trying harder – it’s a simple energy shift that you’ll do in the exercises. It’s
not a goal to achieve through effort or willpower. Worrying about it won’t help you get
there. Sometimes you’ll feel more connected, sometimes less, and that’s OK. Let go of
any attachment to a particular feeling or experience as you get into the healing state. Be
non-attached and neutral to the Now Healing Space!
The state of connection is entered from a non-attached state, beyond words – a light
and effortless expansion towards the infinite.
The Infinite Self
Please Note: the term Highest Self is often used in earlier Now Healing videos and
other materials. You can consider those usages of Highest Self as synonymous with
The most powerful and transformational connection that you will make, as you enter
the Now Healing Space, is to Infinite Self. It is Wholeness, of which your local self is an
expression. It is oneness with all-that-is.
I grappled with what to call this concept. The term I used in the past, Highest Self,
implies a finite ceiling, as well as a lowest self. People also confuse it with “higher self.”
The higher self, the individual soul or spirit, is not necessarily perfect or whole, as Dr.
Kam Yuen points out. It can be weakened by karma or trauma or any number of other
energies and experiences, whereas what Dr. Yuen calls the True Self is neutral to
weakness. However, Dr. Yuen’s term True Self might imply that there is a false self.
I actually like the expression Godself. But because some of my best friends are
atheists, skeptics, and religious believers, with specific finite connotations of God, I
decided against using Godself because it was fraught with limitations. So for now, until
someone comes up with a better term, let’s call it Infinite Self.
The Infinite Self a multi-dimensional and holographic state. It is a process, a pathway
– and at the same time, it’s a state of being, a sensation, a perception. But as soon as
you’re there, you realize there’s always infinitely more to getting there.
Infinite Self is not just a spiritual or energetic state. It permeates the physical level,
down to the cellular and beyond. Each organ, each cell, each molecule connects with
Infinite Self. Every appropriate interconnection opens up, so that every part of your body-
mind-spirit is congruent with every other part. Every area of life aligns. The possibilities
for connection to Wholeness are infinite.
I experience the Infinite Self as beyond my personality, beyond my local self, beyond
my individual spirit or soul, always expanding and contracting towards infinity in all
directions and dimensions. It’s the ultimate connection – multi-dimensional Wholeness.
When you integrate with Infinite Self, you have the power of the universe supporting
you. Your individual energy field expands into infinite oneness – while simultaneously
being completely aware, functional, grounded and present.
The Now Healing Space is Holographic
The universe is holographic. The parts contain the whole. We are holons –
simultaneously a part of the whole, and the complete whole. We become more and more
whole, simply by being aware of ever greater Wholeness.
As you do the techniques in this book, you will amplify the Now Healing
Space/Energy Field. But you will also generate your own field, patterns and information,
informing the Now Healing energy field, as these fields evolve to ever-greater
You will discover the healing space that is right for you. With the Now Healing
Space, I’ve given you what’s effective for me and for many of my students and clients.
But if you have a different way that is more effective for you, honor that, and go with it.
Just be open to the possibility of accessing a healing space from multiple entry points.
There’s not just one way, one method, one ritual that you always need to repeat. Be
flexible. Be aware of change and evolution. Your entry into the healing space will evolve
along with you. Mine certainly does!
In the Now Healing Space, connection to Wholeness allows you to receive
information and shift energy. But connection to Wholeness is not just for problem-
solving, healing and the healing space. It is actually the ultimate aim of this work.
Wholeness is appropriate energetic connection to everything.
In the Now Healing Space, Wholeness is instant connection. In your daily life,
Wholeness is a process. Each action can be a step towards Wholeness, and at the same
time, Wholeness itself. There’s no need to wait for perfect complete enlightenment from
a lightning bolt of sudden satori. You can instantly and holographically connect to
Wholeness with a simple Enter to the Now Healing Space. You are whole, even if you
are not whole!
3. The Enter Process
You’ve already experienced the Enter process, in the previous exercises. Now let’s go
over it in more detail.
How does Enter Relate to Other Energetic Techniques?
This incredibly simple and direct technique is similar to ways of shifting energy that
are used in many new healing modalities. ThetaHealing’s “Go Up” technique, and Donna
Eden’s description of the “Zip-Up” are just two examples. I was not aware of these
techniques when I developed what I originally called Energetic Alignment – but it was
great to get corroboration that the way I was evolving was similar to other systems.
The Yuen Method’s revolutionary instant-change technique of correction is the main
foundation of Enter. A Yuen Method correction instantly strengthens weak energy by
directing a thought to the midline (spine area).
The Yuen Method correction combined with my own evolving experience in my
practice as I worked with energy and information in my own particular way. It morphed
into Energetic Alignment, Wholeness Alignment, and most recently, the Now Healing
Enter is an Act of Connection
Enter aligns you with Wholeness. It activates change. It’s like pressing the enter
button that connects your body-mind-spirit to Infinite Self.
Enter is accomplished simply by making a mental connection to Wholeness. Just
being aware of connection, with a single, quick, light mental focus, is sufficient to create
This is not “running energy.” People who are sensitive to energy may experience
energy “running,” but that’s an effect of Enter rather than a causative factor.
Enter repairs disconnection. It transforms blocked energy into connected, flowing
energy. The energy shifts into its natural, whole state. The energy “wants” to be in
alignment with Wholeness, and will instantly transform, if given the opportunity. Enter
provides that opportunity.
How do we enter information into the whole body-mind-spirit? Conveniently, there’s
a space where the physical and the energy inputs coincide. I call it the Center. The Center
begins at the base of the spine (between the genitals and anus), and goes up and out the
top of the head, past the Crown Chakra. As you follow the Center upwards, you can
continue up for a meter, or a kilometer, or more, until your attention fades.
The Center is where the enter button is located, for your whole system – or to use a
more precise analogy, it’s where the major inputs plug in.
The Center is the intersection of the major information systems of your body. Body
and Mind information goes to your brain and nervous system. Energetic information goes
to your chakras, meridians and energy bodies. But the Center also extends past the
physical body and energy bodies, connecting to higher vibrations and dimensions, to
The Center is a path the self takes as it transcends into Wholeness.
The Center is Both Physical and Energetic
The Center’s physical component is your central nervous system and brain. The spine
and nerves connect to the whole physical body – structural, biochemical, neurological, as
well as functions and processes. The portion of the Center that goes through the brain
accesses the brain, master glands, and neurotransmitters, interfacing with the mental and
emotional realms and the intuitive and psychic abilities.
The energetic component is your connection to energy fields through the chakras, two
important acupuncture meridians (the Governing and Conceptual channels, which
network with all other meridians), Kundalini energy, and the Light Body.
The Central and Governing acupuncture channels that run up and down the spine
access all the other meridians, points and organ systems. The major chakras that run
along the center of the body connect the minor chakras as well as the auric field to the
spiritual level of existence. They also connect and strengthen the aspects of your spiritual
self – for instance, your heart center to unconditional love, your 6th
chakra or Third Eye
to psychic ability and intuition, and so on. The Center also connects to what Orin calls the
Seven Rays of Divine Will, and the Light Body, which contains energy centers beyond
You don’t need to know all this on a conscious level. It’s included here for inquiring
The Center is Holographic
Like most life systems, the Center includes many redundancies. For instance, you can
access the physical body by mentally connecting with the central nervous system, You
can access it other ways, like by connecting with the energy of the 1st
chakra, or by
connecting with the brain, pituitary, hypothalamus and pineal glands at the 6th
You can get grounded into your body by going to the Center mentally. The Center is
holographic – every part reflects and relates to the whole, on all levels and all scales.
Multiple shifts, both conscious and non-conscious, connecting to multiple systems,
are “pre-programmed” into the Enter process. They will automatically activate as you
quickly sweep your attention up your Center – there’s no need to consciously focus on
each detail, and there’s no need to know or understand each component on the level of
your local mind. You are connecting to the universal mind, via the Center.
Accessing the Center
So how do you actually access the Center? How do you press this enter button? After
all, it’s not like you can reach in and touch it physically. But you can make contact with
it—with your awareness. You press this button with your mind. You’ve already done this,
with Enter in Exercise 1.
The practice of Qi Gong teaches that “Qi (a form of life energy) flows where attention
goes.” And where Qi flows, change happens. This is a real application of the idea that
thoughts change reality.
A single thought, in the form of an Enter directed at the Center, shifts energy
instantly. And what’s more, the change made by this thought can be confirmed with
As you do the Enter process by “pressing” the enter button of your Center, all your
systems, functions and processes integrate, connect and align with Wholeness. Like your
high-speed-internet-connection-to-Wholeness, the Center accesses every part, and the
whole, of your body-mind-spirit and Infinite Self.
Is the Center Real?
Yes, in the sense that everything is real. Has it been scientifically isolated and
identified? Nope. Please let me know when that happens!
Is the Center the only way to make energy shifts? No. It’s just a convenient place to
focus your attention. If you forget to focus on the Center as you’re doing an Enter, or if
you don’t complete the sweep from the base of the spine out the top of the head, or if you
don’t send your attention up far enough, don’t worry. Enter will still be effective. It’s the
thought that counts!
How is Enter Different from a Regular Thought?
Enter is more an awareness than a thought. If you’re kinesthetic, Enter will feel more
like a sensation of connection, flow, strength and centeredness or a simple focus of
attention. If you’re visual, you might see, in your mind’s eye, a large enter button on your
Center, or a series of toggle switches on your spine. If you’re more mental or verbal, it
can be like a thought – but it is a single, non-attached thought.
No other thoughts, emotions or expectations are entangled with the thought of Enter.
If you are accustomed to over-thinking, it may hardly seem like a thought at all. There’s
no effort, concentration, analysis, judgement, other associations, nor is there a logical
chain of complex syntax.
This thought/sense/awareness is light, easy and quick. At the speed of light, it
accesses the universal mind, like an instant internet connection.
It is much more direct that a regular thought or affirmation, because the information
in the thought is input directly into the “system.” The information doesn’t have to wend
its way from your conscious mind into physical reality, taking its time, meandering
through a minefield of non-conscious blockages.
Enter is applied awareness. It is an awareness-vector. The awareness is a single
focused thought that is directional and intentional without necessarily being verbal. It is
also non-local. It comes from your individual mind and the universal mind
simultaneously. It aligns you with Wholeness by opening a pathway of instant
Enter is Always Effective
This specific kind of awareness/thought creates instant energetic shifts – whether you
believe it or not. When you first try Enter, it may feel like you’re just pretending or
making it up. That’s OK – that’s how you get started doing anything. It works even if you
don’t know what you’re doing – because you’re not really doing much of anything.
You’re just having a little thought, aimed at your Center.
Enter is like shooting an arrow – it works best when you let it go.
It doesn’t matter if you believe it—this is truly beyond belief. Believing something
doesn’t make it true (I believe in world peace, and I believe I won that argument with my
husband about where the exit in garden at Versailles was, while he believes he was right.)
And disbelieving something doesn’t make it untrue (some people don’t believe in
evolution, the moon landing, or that the holocaust happened).
Your computer doesn’t distinguish between your belief or disbelief. If you hit the
enter button, it works, even if you have doubts that it will. The act of pressing the button
– or in the case of Enter, the act of applying awareness to the Center – is sufficient to
input the change in energy.
Enter is always effective, in that it always causes an energy shift. You may discern
the shift as a major change in your life, or a subtle easing into non-attachment. If you
can’t discern any change, you may be disconnected from your ability to perceive this
kind of shift. Like hearing a foreign language, or some strange new music for which you
have no frame of reference, with practice, you can discover meaning in what you
originally perceived as meaningless noise. You can learn to discern energy shifts.
Keep the Enter Process Simple and Easy
The Enter process should take no more than a second or two. Any more than that, and
you’re overdoing it, overthinking it and overcomplicating it! There’s no need to take
time, no need to make sure you’re hitting every detail, no need to over-focus – that would
be like concentrating on getting every word right and monitoring your grammar as you
speak, or over-concentrating on the details of putting one foot in front of the other as you
As you practice and Enter becomes second nature to you, it will actually take even
less time – less than half a second. Allow yourself to approach the speed of light!
How do you Know that Energy Shifted?
Look for changes in how you feel, physically and emotionally. These changes often
happen quickly, within moments of doing an Enter. You may experience the shift
differently at different times, or you may always experience it with the same sensation.
Here are some possible signs of an energy shift:
- a deep breath
- feeling movement of Qi
- effortless improvement in posture
- feeling or looking taller
- your color might look better. Your eyes may be livelier, and your face brighter.
- vision changes – brighter colors, increased clarity
- eyes watering or tearing
- momentary sadness or grief (these emotions will pass quickly, as they release from
- emotional lightness or a new sense of non-attachment and neutrality
- mental clarity
- a sense of “what-ever!” – of the problem being distant or gone
- difficulty remembering or getting in touch with what was initially bothering you
Besides these signs of energy moving, shifting and balancing, you may notice real
improvements in your life. When your energy aligns with Wholeness, your life changes!
Any number of things may happen within minutes, hours or days, from aches and pains
improving or disappearing, to serendipitous career opportunities, to relationships
problems resolving. Areas where you felt stuck may suddenly begin to open and move.
As you go through the exercises in this book, be aware of the changes that happen in your
Shift Your Perspective to Change Reality
Aligning your energy changes reality by gently shifting you into a new awareness.
Your problem, from a slightly different angle, is no longer interpreted as a problem – it
becomes a neutral thing without negative associations.
Like shifting your position in a movie theater seat so that the big hairy person in front
of you is no longer in your line of sight, you suddenly have a new point of view.
Nothing’s blocking you.
And so it is with shifting energy. A tiny shift, a minuscule decision to change the
angle of one little perception – can make problems truly disappear, instantly.
4. The Commands: Align, Disentangle, Re-
In this chapter, we’ll add specific commands to the Enter process. You can add
various commands to Enter to get more specific results. What command you add depends
on what you want to do.
You’ve already done the Align command, in Exercise 2. We’ll go over it in more
detail, as well as the Disentangle and Re-Integrate commands.
What’s the Difference between Enter and a Command?
In Now Healing, you always do an Enter – either by itself or with an added command.
Enter creates the connection, and makes the energy shift happen.
A general Enter, by itself, is actually a type of Align command. It aligns you with the
Now Healing Space, your Center, Infinite Self, and Wholeness.
Adding a command to Enter allows you to align with something, or disentangle from
something, more specifically. In the upcoming exercises, you will align or disentangle
from specific items in a checklist.
THE ALIGN COMMAND
Why Add the Align Command?
Add the Align command to the Enter process when you want to align with something
specific. Whether it’s healing, hydration, happiness, or helicopter-flying lessons, just say
or think “Align with ____” as you do an Enter.
Use Align whenever you want to make two or more things congruent with each other,
on all levels of existence. Here are a few examples of the kinds of things you can Align:
- Your goal and yourself
- You, your business partner, investors, and a new project
- Your tailbone with your C1 vertebra;
- Your current job, your ideal job, your father’s idea of your ideal job, and your life
What does Align Do?
Align is multi-dimensional connection. Not only does it line things up in a single
straight line – it lines them up with Wholeness, holographically, on all levels of
existence, in all areas of life, all dimensions, all times and all spaces.
Aligning is simple, yet it produces results that are infinitely complex. Even though
you may not have a logical framework for understanding it, your Infinite Self takes care
of all the details of this work without involving your conscious mind in each step.
You just flip an energetic switch to turn on your circuitry, using a simple Enter.
Follow the energies from your physical body and your personality self, up your Center,
out the upper chakras and beyond… to the thing you want to align with.
The Align command actually creates the connection, allowing energy to flow, like
turning on a switch. You’ll be able to feel the difference.
How to Use the Align Command
As you do the Enter process, verbally or mentally add the command Align or Align

This exercise uses the same checklist items as Exercise 2. However, it expands on the
general Enter process, by adding the specific command Align to the Enter process.
Instructions: As you read each item on the checklist, say or think “Align with,” and
simultaneously do an Enter. For future reference, you can also just say “Align,” you
don’t have to say “with.”

THE DISENTANGLE COMMAND
Now Healing not only Aligns to appropriate energy, it also creates detachment from
inappropriate energy, with Energetic Disentanglement. Just like you would enter an Align
command by mentally focusing on the Center, you can also Disentangle with a simple
placement of attention on your Center.
Why Add the Disentangle Command?
Disentangling energies that are inappropriately tied together allows freedom of
movement – for instance, between parts of a joint, between aspects of your individual
self, between you and your siblings, or between you and everything else.
Entanglement is a form of blockage – it’s often a non-conscious cause of over-
attachment. Think of knotted and snarled ropes binding you to emotions, habits, looping
thoughts, needs, people and possessions, so they always affect your and impinge on your
The difference between energetic connection and energetic entanglement is one of
appropriateness: connection strengthens, frees, balances, supports and empowers, while
entanglement weakens, restricts, unbalances, removes support and disempowers.
Entanglement can be a problem in any area of life. Physical pain can be entangled
with fear. Relationships can be entangled with the energies of past relationships, or with
other areas of life, like finances, gender issues, or feng shui energies. It’s common to find
people whose love relationships are in trouble because of entanglements in areas that
seem completely unrelated to the actual relationship. When they disentangle the energies
of finances or gender expectations or feng shui from the energies of their relationships,
all areas improve!
Disentanglement is a form of becoming non-attached and neutral, on multiple levels
and dimensions. If you don’t know how to get non-attached or neutral to something, just
use the Disentangle command, and Infinite Self will take care of the details.
The Disentangle command severs inappropriate attachments, triggers and effects,
both known and unknown. It removes over-connection between two or more items. It
restores freedom of movement and independence between the items, so that a change in
one does not cause an automatic adverse reaction in another.
If there are multiple items to disentangle (for instance your opinions about your foot
pain, your doctor’s opinion, your past experiences with other people’s pain, your fear of
pain and your fear of death) then all combinations and permutations will be disentangled.
Your Infinite Self will take care of the math! If you like to work with geometry and
symbols, you can imagine an x-angled diagram listing x items (one for each angle) with
lines connecting each item to each other item.
Disentangling means that the energy of each item no longer weakens the field of the
other items, allowing connection to Wholeness.
What’s the Difference between Clearing, Deleting and Disentangling?
Many energy-healing modalities only work with clearing or releasing negative
energy. This is usually done one item at a time. Clearing or releasing a single energy is
sometimes necessary, but not always sufficient. Yuen Method takes it a powerful step
farther – it can actually delete many negative “causes” at once.
As I developed Now Healing, I found it necessary to go even farther – not only to
delete, but to disentangle energies that were over-attached.
I also found that it’s often unnecessary to know what specifically is being Aligned or
Disentangled. Unlike the “delete” of Yuen Method, Disentangle does not require any
additional pinpointing or counting of related issues and effects, memories, and so on.
Disentangle automatically includes whatever’s appropriate. It’s like a computer
program that runs a flow chart of various possibilities – you don’t need to be consciously
aware of them. You don’t have to identify or count up the items to disentangle. Infinite
Self does the math for you.
What Does Disentangle Do?
Disentangle is the reverse of the Align command. Where Align creates connection,
Disentangle creates separation and independence.
Like Align, Disentangle is multidimensional and multi-level. It not only affects what
you consciously think is the issue, it also affects that which you do not know. Often,
there’s no need to get specific and disentangle all the details. But if a big general
Disentangle doesn’t give you the results you want, you can get more specific. Like a
game of Twenty Questions, start from the big picture. With your enhanced sense
perception in the Now Healing Space, you’ll likely get your answer after one or two
The Disentangle command includes and acts on:
- Yuen Method “delete,” “eliminate,” “related issues,” and all related corrections
- Removing unwanted energies from your energy field
- Transmuting them to normal, neutral energies
- Separating your energy field from that which is weakening it
- x number of unknown and known issues, whether or not you are aware of them.
- Energetically separating x number of issues from each other, where x can equal
anywhere from two to an infinite number. For instance, you can disentangle the
sensation of pain from the fear of death from the collective conscious fear of
- All levels of existence (body, mind, emotions, spirit, energy meridians and
- All life areas (home, work, job, hobbies, relationships, finances, life purpose,
- All times (past, present, future)
- All spaces (current home, birthplace, feng shui, geopathic energy fields…)
- All orders of magnitude (microcosmic to macrocosmic)
- All dimensions
- Parallel universes and other universes
- All existences (so-called “Past Lives”)
- Conscious, non-conscious, sub-conscious and super-conscious energies and
- Psychic resonance, empathetic entanglement, and picking up outside energies
- Negative energies, parasitic energies, and energetic gunk that disconnects you
- Karma, Karmic entanglement, so-called “lessons”
- DNA and cellular memories
- Ancestral and other collective thoughtforms, emotions, habits and patterns
- Religious, political, national, cultural, class and gender-related thoughtforms,
habits and patterns
- Habitual reactions and psychological defenses
- Yin/yang balancing
- Independence and freedom of movement between issues being disentangled
- Re-Integration of items being disentangled, if appropriate.
Of course, this is only a partial list – the possibilities are endless.
Disentangle is not just for unwanted or negative energies. To discern what needs
disentangling, and what doesn’t, you’ll learn how to do Energetic Testing in Chapter 5.
Then, in Chapter 6, you’ll practice the Disentangle command in detail.
THE RE-INTEGRATE COMMAND
After you’ve disentangled two or more items, you may want to Re-integrate them –
especially if those items need to work with each other. For instance, if you’ve
disentangled the energy field of your job from the energy field of your family
relationships, you may want to Re-integrate them so they can function together more
Re-integration puts everything back in an appropriate, dynamically balanced
relationship. What happens during Re-integration? It depends on what you’re integrating.
The items will function independently but will support each other, and work inter-
dependently if appropriate.
If it feels necessary, or tests necessary, you can use the Re-integrate command at the
close of your session. This is like energetic housekeeping. It re-connects everything
appropriately to Infinite Self.
The Disentangle command often makes the Re-Integrate unnecessary – things may
well integrate automatically. But you may want to do a larger, general Re-Integrate, after
you’re done shifting lots of energy and information!
We’ll come back to this topic later. Exercise 15 in Chapter 11 will take you through
the Re-Integrate process.
How do you Know Which Command to Use?
How do you tell when Align is incomplete, and Disentangle and Re-Integrate are
necessary? There’s more to it than simply using Align for what you want and Disentangle
for what you don’t want.
To determine which command to use, you can do Energetic Testing. You’ll combine
the commands with Energetic Testing in the next chapter.
5. Energetic Testing
Making the Unconscious Conscious
Many systems of healing focus on bringing the unconscious into consciousness.
Energetic Testing can effectively find the unknown pieces of the healing puzzle –
depending on the neutrality of the practitioner and what questions are being asked.
Some examples of Energetic Testing are applied kinesiology, finger muscle testing,
and even pendulums and dowsing. Discussing what Energetic Testing is, and why it
works, is beyond the scope of this course – but you’ll learn how to do it anyway.
In Now Healing, what we test for is different from what other healing methods test.
We don’t test whether a substance is good or bad for you. We don’t test whether your
statement is true or false, or whether a specific issue is the cause of your problem or not.
Instead, we test for one of two possibilities: your connection or disconnection from
Wholeness, in relation to the item being tested.
We are neutral and non-attached to what is cause and what is effect. We don’t have to
tell the story or analyze the meaning of the energies that we uncover. We make no
assumptions about whether these energies cause problems or not, whether they are bad or
good, wanted or unwanted. We don’t have to pinpoint, label or define the source of a
Beyond the Root Cause
In Now Healing, we don’t look for the root cause of a problem. Instead, we look for
Wholeness or lack of it. We Align or Disentangle, in order to be in the state of
Calling something the root cause is overly simplistic, like blaming a crack in the
sidewalk that “causes” you to twist your ankle, when in reality there are multiple
invisible factors – for instance, underground water and tree roots that buckled the
concrete, your excitement about getting in line for the premiere of a new movie, kidney
meridian deficiency, ancestral karma and the electro-magnetic field from a transformer
across the street.
None of those issues, taken individually, “caused” you to trip. But they each
contributed to your disconnection from Wholeness.
Your Experience of the “Problem” is Not the Same as the Problem As Energy
Now Healing also makes a distinction between your experience of a situation – for
instance, happy excitement, physical pain, or blaming that crack in the sidewalk – and the
energy field of the situation itself. Your experience, your emotions and your opinions
about a problem are not the same as the underlying energetic entanglements that hold the
problem in place.
These entanglements of a problem are usually hidden – not only from sight and
physical observation, but also from mind. At least, they’re not obvious to the local mind.
So we plug into the universal mind, with Energetic Testing.
Your thoughts, feelings, opinions or beliefs are not a good indicator of connection to
Wholeness, or lack of it. Neither are your symptoms, or your medical diagnosis. You may
experience discomfort, upset, or a disconnect from something you want, like a healthy
immune system, or financial security. Yet when you boost your immune system with
appropriate supplements, or make more money, you may still get sick or feel anxious
about money. That’s because the underlying separation from Wholeness lies elsewhere –
the problem isn’t what you think it is.
Conversely, you may feel fine, but be unaware of blockages and disconnects. You
may have a non-symptomatic energetic blockage that might take years to manifest
physically. You may think that you love something, for instance your job, your favorite
health food, or the color of your bedroom – but when you actually test the energy, there’s
a big disconnect in your field. Your energy field can be weakened without your
You assume that you’re aligned and connected with your goals. That ideal career that
you’re working on manifesting, or the new project you’re really inspired about, or the
marathon you train for with diligence and discipline – certainly there couldn’t possibly be
a disconnect with something you want so badly, right?
If you ask yourself “Am I aligned with my goal?” your conscious mind will likely tell
you “Yes, of course!” But that answer is often just an assumption or belief. When testing
energy, the answer does not come from your conscious mind! It comes from a place
beyond your individual consciousness: Infinite Self.
So how do you identify what’s connected or disconnected, without relying solely on
your conscious mind? With Energetic Testing. In this chapter, you’ll learn an easy,
systematic way to bypass your local mind, plug into the universal mind, and find the
disconnects in your energy field.
You’ll learn how to ascertain whether energy is disconnected or connected to
Wholeness. Then in the next few chapters, you’ll use this Energetic Testing technique to
identify specific disconnects in your body, your emotions and your thoughts, so that you
can repair them with the Enter process.
What is Energetic Testing?
Energetic Testing is a simple, reproducible technique to get information about
whether energy is connected and appropriate, or disconnected, blocked or weak.
Energetic Testing does not require physical contact with what’s being tested. All you
need to do is make mental/energetic contact with its energy field. How? It’s not necessary
to build an expensive piece of technological gear, or use some gadget, gauge, or
gaussmeter. You are the technology!
You already have the capability to test and interpret the physical world. You are pre-
wired for this, using your biological, neurological and mental equipment. It’s easy to test
different kinds of contrasts in your environment – your exquisite sensory apparatus has
no trouble doing these complex tests. Is an object hot or cold? Near or far? Safe or
You trust your assessment of hot or cold based on your experience. Imagine if some
skeptic came along and asked “But how do you really know it’s hot? How do you know
you’re not just making it up? You’d better measure with a thermometer at all times.” But
constantly seeking confirmation from a scientific measurement would be an
unreasonable, unnecessary precaution. You might choose to engage in a semantic and
scientific discussion – but you’d still be able to discern the contrast between a cup of hot
tea or cold tea, even if you couldn’t clearly and scientifically articulate how you
Because your innate energy-sensing apparatus is as highly effective and finely-tuned
as your other physical senses, you can run a simple program to test energy in a similar
manner. Is the energy strong or weak? Expanded or contracted? Connected or
disconnected? Whole or separate?
Energetic Testing doesn’t rely only on the standard physical senses. The so-called five
senses that we learn about in grade school are really a very limiting way to interpret the
universe. They omit any sense that has no obvious corresponding physical organ, like the
senses of direction, balance, motion, pressure, temperature, and time.
Energetic Testing gets information from all senses, not just the limited five senses,
and from beyond the small fraction of total information that is contained in the analytical
mind. It activates not just your whole-brain perceptions, not just your whole-mind
abilities – it actually goes even further and connects you to the universal mind. This
allows you instant access to all the information in the universe.
With Energetic Testing, you’re not asking your local conscious mind or your limited
five senses to supply the information – you are asking Infinite Self to connect with all
kinds of universal information, and then bring it into your consciousness via a
reproducible test outcome.
Test for a Contrast
Our Energetic Test is a very basic multiple choice test. The test has only one basic
question: “Connection or disconnection?”
So how do you get the correct answer? You will ask Infinite Self to show you the test
results, by outputting them in a form that you can experience with your body or your
mind. You will choose a representation for connection and disconnection. The
representation can be sensory or mental – anything that allows you to experience some
kind of difference between the two results. Whether you feel it in your body, know it in
your mind, or see it as an image, you will experience some kind of contrast between test
result #1 (connection) and test result #2 (disconnection). You will notice some kind of
difference that enables you to distinguish connection from disconnection.
There are many ways to test for a contrast in energy. One very obvious way is with a
finger muscle test.
Finger Muscle Test
Let’s do a simple muscle test, as an easy way to check for connection, physically.
Your fingers will be the test display/output.
If you already know finger muscle testing, feel free to use any finger configuration
you like, but please go through the exercise anyway, because even though the test may
look the same, Now Healing does it in a different way from what you may be used to.
With this finger muscle test, your are asking your Infinite Self to show you a physical
representation of whether or not you are connected. You are not asking your conscious
mind, or your fingers! Your conscious mind, with its opinions and beliefs, stays
disengaged, neutral and impartial during this test. Your fingers are also impartial – you’re
using the same moderate muscle tension each time you check for connection or
disconnection from Wholeness.

You did more detailed versions of this in Exercises 2 and 2B. Now, feel free to use
this short form anytime. Your Infinite Self will include all the specific details. (You can
go back to the long forms of Exercises 2 and 2B whenever you want, as needed.)
You’ll also use this short form as a preparation for all subsequent exercises.
Instructions: Say or think “The Now Healing Space” as you do an Enter up your Center.
You are now non-attached, neutral, and in enhanced sense perception – you’re ready to
∞ Exercise 4: Finger Muscle Testing*
The Pry-Apart Test
1. With your left hand, make a circle with your thumb and index finger by touching
the fingertips together. (If you’re left-handed, go ahead and reverse these
instructions – it doesn’t matter which hand you use.) With your right hand, using
your thumb and index finger, prepare to separate the circle by pushing/prying it
2. Insert your right hand into the circle. Prepare to test.
3. Say “Show me Connected.” With a moderate amount of strength, try to break the
circle with your other hand. It should not break. Now say “Show me
Disconnected.” Try to separate the circle, using the same amount of strength as
before – you’re not doing anything different with your fingers. This time, it should
easily break apart.
Try this process again, several times. Say “Connected” then finger-test. Say
“Disconnected” and test again.
Now do it again, this time using the words “Whole” (the circle should stay connected
and whole) and “Separate” (circle should break).
If you’re used to using the words “strong” and “weak” that’s fine, you can still use
them. Strong = connected, Weak = disconnected.
Most people can learn this finger muscle test quickly, with only a little practice. At
first it may feel like you’re just making it up. Don’t worry – you’re not! If you don’t feel
confident, just try it anyway. Don’t over-think it. Remember, for this test, you want to

Tips and Troubleshooting
• Remember, you’re asking Infinite Self to show you the answer, not your muscles
or your mind. Until you get the hang of it, you might want to try stating your
question like this, as you do the finger test: “Show me connected” and “Show me
disconnected.” As soon as you’ve managed it a few times, just blank your mind as
you test, and observe what your fingers do.
• With this kind of Energetic Testing, you’re not asking questions that have yes/no
answers. It is possible to do, but it confuses the issue, and explaining it is beyond
the scope of this course. For our purposes, let’s just stick with
“connected/disconnected,” “whole/separate,” “aligned/not aligned,” or
“strong/weak” rather than “yes/no.”
• Get into a neutral mental state by entering the Now Healing Space again. Soften
your focus, relax and take an imaginary step backwards, out of your thinking zone.
• Use a light-to-moderate amount of resistance in your fingers. Over-clenching is
counterproductive and will result in crampy fingers. This is not a test of how
fiercely you can clamp your muscles together – it is a test of difference. All you
are looking for is a contrast between “Connected” and “Disconnected.” For some
people, the contrast will be an immediate, big and obvious break of the circle, and
for other people, the contrast may be a much slower, smaller, gentler separation of
the fingers. Any kind of contrast will do. Just find the amount of resistance that
works for you to be able to find a contrast between connected energy and
• If you’re having trouble, here’s a technique to re-set your polarity (your ability to
get appropriate test results). Imagine an infinity sign ∞ in the middle of your
head, or a big figure eight along your spine. You can even trace figure eight
patterns in the air with your hands. Do this for about 5 seconds and then try the
• Try not looking at your fingers as you test – look at a blank wall, or something
else. You’ll want to feel slightly at a remove from your fingers.
• Change fingers. Instead of your thumb and index finger, form a circle with your
thumb and middle finger. Same with your other hand.
• Use the first answer you get. Don’t second-guess yourself, repeatedly testing the
same thing again and again, just to make sure. Accepting your first test result will
soon reinforce your trust and neutrality, allowing you to get accurate results with a
bit of practice.
• Most importantly, be neutral. Accurate answers depend on your neutrality and
your connection to Infinite Self. To get accurate answers, get neutral. That
includes getting neutral about whether or not you’re getting accurate answers!
• All this being said, don’t worry too much about muscle testing or any kind of
Energetic Testing. If it’s not working for you – and that does happen to a small
percentage of people – don’t worry. Just do the alignments and exercises anyway,
even if you can’t yet discern connection or disconnection. Get neutral, and keep
trying – you’ll get it eventually.
More Finger Tests
There are many other kinds of finger muscle tests. Some people do better with
different tests. Find the one that works best for you.
The video demonstration from Exercise 4 shows some examples of other finger tests:
the O-ring Test, the One-Handed Snap Test, and the One-Handed Friction Test.
Other Kinds of Energetic Testing
There are many different techniques for Energetic Testing, from the more “scientific”
methods like applied kinesiology (although many scientists still balk at this), to general
muscle testing, to more esoteric forms, like the pendulum and dowsing.
Many different kinds of energies can be tested. But for our purposes, Energetic
Testing simply determines whether there’s energetic connection or disconnection.
Your test only has two possible results. But there are many different possible ways to
experience this result. Finger muscle testing is not the only way to test energy. Depending
on whether you are more visual, auditory, cognizant, tactile or kinesthetic, there are many
ways to experience a strong or weak test result. Here are a few:
Visual/Symbolic: Instead of using your fingers, your test result might be an image or
symbol that comes into your mind, which represents the energy you’re testing. For
instance, you might see, in your mind’s eye, a whole circle for Wholeness/connection, or
a broken circle for disconnection. Some people see colors, like a red light for
disconnection and a green light for connection. Others see an image of a finger test
breaking or staying whole, without physically doing it.
Verbal: A word, phrase or thought might pop into your mind. Some people get a word
written on a screen in their mind’s eye. You might see the word “connected” or
“disconnected” in your imagination. (And by “imagination,” I don’t mean that you’re
making it up or forcing the answer – I mean an image that comes into your mind, like
when you get an inspired idea.)
Auditory: You might hear the word “Connected” or “Disconnected” in your mind.
Cognizant: You might have a strong sense of just knowing the answer – you mentally
recognize connected energy as opposed to disconnected energy.
Empathic: Empathy is the ability to tune into the sensations, emotions and thoughts of
others. This form of feeling/sensing is not the best way to get information, unless you can
be completely neutral and clear about what it means. If you tend to get information this
way, you’ll need to practice non-attachment and neutrality so that you don’t cloud your
test results with over-feeling the situation, or experiencing someone else’s sensations or
emotions. Those emotions may be misleading, because what you experience don’t
necessarily show you what is disconnected and what needs to be aligned.
That said, an empathic response when you’re working on someone else, like a
discomfort in an area of your body, or an emotion washing over you, can sometimes be a
hint or a sign about where the other person’s disconnect is located. If you are empathic,
be neutral and learn to recognize or test the difference between other people’s energy and
Kinesthetic, and Physical Sensations: You’ve already learned a form of physical
Energetic Testing – finger muscle testing. But other physical sensations can also be a
very clear form of sensing energy. “Gut feelings” an important part of intuition and
Some people feel a sensation somewhere in their body – perhaps in their throat, heart
area or abdomen – a sense of Wholeness/connection as a strong, full, expanded, energetic
and comfortable feeling, and a sense of disconnection as a discomfort, or a weak, empty,
contracted, non-energetic feeling.
When your sensations are connected to your intuition, and when you know how to
read them, they can give you accurate information, far beyond the limited five senses and
limited conscious mind.
Beyond Muscle Testing – Physical Intuition and Enhanced Sense Perception
Muscle testing is like the training wheels for your intuition. It’s just a simple way
to enhance your sense perception.
Don’t get stuck thinking that finger muscle testing is the main way to get information.
It’s not. It merely allows you to begin to discern intuitive information, with an easy and
obvious translation of energy into a physical test outcome.
Many people assume that intuition is mental – a knowingness. But it doesn’t have to
be. Much of our intuition comes in the form of physical sensation – like a discomfort in
the pit of your stomach when you sense that a choice is not the right one. Or a feeling of
weakness and lack of support in your throat, or emptiness in the heart area. Those
sensations would correspond to a muscle test that showed disconnection.
Your bodily sensations can also show you connection, like a finger muscle test would.
You might feel a sense of strength and good energy in your heart area, or a nice full
strong feeling in the throat, or a comfortable supportive feeling in your gut and stomach.
These sensations indicate a solid, strong connection to the thing you’re thinking about.
Acknowledge these physical feelings as part of your intuition. They will become
integral to your energetic testing, if you can learn to recognize and categorize the
sensations systematically, so that they are reproducible. For instance, that particular,
weak sensation in your throat always means “disconnected energy” and that strong, full
sensation always means “connected energy.”
Whatever test you use, observe any other sensations in your body. You may begin to
get information from your other senses also – visually from your mind’s eye, auditory,
cognitive, and so on.
Intuition and Energetic Testing
Intuition is not a wishy-washy, nebulous and subjective feeling. It’s only unclear due
to lack of understanding. Intuitive information can be completely meaningful and
reproducible, once you codify it and come up with a system. It is a language with distinct
meaning – it’s just a matter of learning it. Get to know your intuition. Learn your
particular signals and sensations. With practice and use, you can decode your intuitive
language, so that it becomes part of your Energetic Testing.
Don’t Trust Your Intuition – Discern Truth!
Using your intuition effectively is not about trusting. You cannot trust it – unless you
are connected to Wholeness and Infinite Self, neutral and non-attached. Relying on trust
alone might lead you astray, because you could be trusting information that is not
received neutrally. You could be picking up psychic noise and random signals that have
no bearing on the situation, or resonating with someone else’s feelings in an empathic
When you come from Infinite Self and the Now Healing Space, you transcend the
need to trust in the unknown – you can discern the actual truth by tuning in to energy that
is either connected or disconnected.
A QUICK REVIEW
Ask Infinite Self
With Energetic Testing, you ask Infinite Self to show you what kind of energy is
present – connected, or disconnected. You don’t ask your conscious mind, your thoughts,
opinions, beliefs, or your fingers.
All You Need is a Contrast
Remember, all you need for a test result is some indication of a contrast, a difference
between connected energy and disconnected energy. It’s as simple as noticing whether a
part of your body (your fingers, or your gut) feels strong or weak.
Tune In To the Thing You’re Testing
Begin the test by inputting the information – just think about the item you want to
test. Then stop thinking about the meaning of item, stop focusing on your experience of
the problem, and go into testing mode: look for a contrast in energy. The energy of the
item you’re testing will either be Connected or Disconnected, either strong or weak,
either whole or separate. Your output (the answer) is the result that your fingers give you
– your fingers show either strong or weak. The circle is either connected or disconnected
– whole or separate.
Now that you know how to identify whether energy is connected or disconnected, what
do you actually do with that information? In the next chapter, you’ll revisit the Enter
process, to connect energy that tests disconnected – to make whole.
6. Combining Energetic Testing, Enter and the
In this Chapter, you’ll learn how to use Energetic Testing in conjunction with the
commands. You’ll test and identify disconnected energy. You’ll also test whether to do
the Disentangle or the Align command.
To demonstrate this, we’ll use Aligning with Infinite Self as an example. You’ll get to
play with combining two processes in the next exercise, and as a result, you’ll connect
multi-dimensionally with Infinite Self! You already connected with Infinite Self in
Exercise 2 (the Now Healing Space). But here, we’ll go deeper… and higher.
Alignment with Infinite Self
Aligning with Infinite Self is transformational, even if you do nothing else to shift
your energy, even if you skip everything else in this book.
As you follow the path of Infinite Self, notice the differences in your life. You’ll go
through your days in a higher vibration. Be aware that changes will occur – sometimes
unexpected ones! But change happens anyway, whether or not you’re connected to
Wholeness. You might as well experience change from a position of strength and power,
as your Infinite Self.
Why Align with Infinite Self?
You may want to Align with Infinite Self if you are experiencing irritability, anger,
fear, frustration, or any other negative emotion. If you’re confused, having a hard time
concentrating or learning something, or unable to make a decision, you will also greatly
benefit from Exercise 5 below.
Like the yin/yang ebb and flow of life, there may be times when you feel
disconnected. But if your intention is to Align with Infinite Self in a general way, don’t
worry if you’re temporarily misaligned in a few specific areas. Remember to stay non-
attached, even to your imbalances. Then you’ll be able to get back into balance fairly
Being Aligned with Infinite Self will serve you well in all areas of life, from your
everyday routines to your spiritual evolution. You will notice more peace of mind, and an
increased ability to be centered and balanced in the face of stress. You’ll connect to
inspiration, creativity and support from the universe. You’ll be able to attract and
maintain high-vibration relationships and partnerships, effortlessly.
Whether you’re a writer, musician, artist, scientist, scholar or business-person, Align
with Infinite Self before you begin a project, business venture or research. Do it before
exercise or meditation, studying, performing, teaching or making a presentation. You can
even do it before shopping, to find the perfect item quickly and easily, or before cooking,
to create a delicious and healthy meal with a high vibration.
If everyone were Aligned with Infinite Self, our world would be at peace, our planet
healthy. Everyone would pull together for the common good, the highest good. It would
be very difficult for anyone to cause suffering, because we’d all be operating from a
sense of interconnectedness and oneness. When you Align with Infinite Self, you
broadcast this aligned energy out to others. You help to heal the world.
∞ Exercise 5: Align with Infinite Self – Combining Enter and the Commands with
The checklist below gives you various items to Disentangle and Align. You’ll apply
Energetic Testing to find which items disconnect you from Infinite Self. Then, you’ll re-
connect, by adding either the Align or the Disentangle command to Enter.
If your finger muscle test remains connected as you test an item, then you are
connected and aligned – there’s no problem there – you are connected to Infinite Self for
that item. If your fingers disconnect, it means that either you are disconnected from the
item, or that item is causing a disconnect somewhere in your energy field.
Don’t over-think what the disconnect means. Just move on to the next step without
lingering. You’re not testing your thoughts, beliefs and opinions about the item – you’re
testing your actual energetic connection and alignment, which is beyond your conscious
Step 1. Enter the Now Healing Space. You can say “Align with the Now Healing Space”
as you move your focus up your Center – or just “do” it without adding words.
Step 2. Read or look at the item on the checklist.
Step 3. Test the item. Test it once only, accepting your first test result.
i. If the finger test stays connected for that item, then there’s nothing to do.
Move on to the next item on the checklist and test it (and so on, down the
checklist until you find a disconnect).
ii. If the finger test shows a disconnect or separation, go to Step 4.
Step 4. Command: Do a Disentangle on the first item in the Disentangle checklist: just
look at the item, and think or say “disentangle” as you do an Enter up your Center.
(When you get to the Align checklist, do Enter and think “align.”)
Step 5. Re-Test the item you just disentangled, by doing another finger muscle test.
Most likely, the finger test will now remain connected, because that item is no longer
keeping you from being aligned with Infinite Self.
If the item still tests disconnected, do a few more Disentangles. Now re-test again to
confirm that the connection has been made. In the rare instance that the finger test does
not stay whole after several attempts, do an Align between yourself and neutrality for that
issue – just say “Neutral” as you do an Enter. Move on to the next item on the checklist.
Step 6. Repeat Steps 3, 4 and 5 for each item on the checklist. Go through the
checklist quickly and lightly, without over-thinking each item.

If you don’t find any disconnects – that’s great! Just be aware that your degree of
Alignment with Infinite Self can change from moment to moment, or day to day – so the
next time you do this exercise, your test results may be completely different. Just stay
neutral and have no expectations about the test result.
Notice any changes in how you feel. You might experience a very subtle shift, or you
might feel a profound difference. Either way, you are now Aligned with Infinite Self.
Now that you’re Aligned with Infinite Self, you won’t think you need to rely on your
conscious mind and your limited personality-self to do this work – you are in a neutral,
flowing space of high vibration. Your Infinite Self will take care of the details.
Align with Infinite Self – Short Form
You can, of course, do a short form of Align with Infinite Self, as needed. If you want
to increase confidence as you get on stage to perform, need to get in top form quickly for
a final exam, audition or interview, feel guilt, anger, envy, or find yourself in any state
that would benefit from connection to Infinite Self, just say “Align with Infinite Self” as
you do an Enter.
7. Declarations – Align with your Goals
Let’s work with more specific goals, that are individual to you. You’ll state what you
want to Align with, as a Declaration. A Declaration is a word or phrase that states your
goal, or the thing that you want to test. It is the thing about which you issue a command.
A Declaration can be:
- A word or item on a checklist that you’re testing
- A problem you want to disentangle from
- A goal or affirmation you want to align with
- A body part that you’re scanning (you’ll do this in Chapter 9)
Affirmation vs. Declaration – What’s the Difference?
When you are Declaring a goal, you’ll state it in a positive form. It will sound very
much like an affirmation – but there’s a major difference. Affirmations intend to affect
reality, to assert an idea that you maintain is truth, through the conscious mind. But the
conscious mind is just a small fraction of reality!
When affirmations don’t work, it’s usually because of non-conscious blockages that
aren’t addressed in the affirmation process. Here are some examples of non-conscious
areas that can negatively affect the manifestation of your affirmations. The subconscious
mind, or the collective conscious, may hold objections. Your neural pathways may be
blocked. Your energy meridians, your DNA programs, your ancestors’ fears, the color of
your kitchen, and the pH of your spinal fluid, can just as easily affect reality as your
conscious mind can when you’re saying an affirmation.
But the Declaration gets around all that. It is accompanied by the Enter process that
instantly connects you, affecting all dimensions of body-mind-spirit, not just the
conscious level. In the exercise below, you will do Enter to activate each Declaration.
This is much more powerful than affirmations or positive thinking. It’s a highly
evolved, warp-speed, hyper-drive, completely effective program to shift energy instantly,
in all areas, levels and dimensions.
∞ Exercise 6: Align with a Declaration
In this exercise, you will go through the six-step process which puts together the
major aspects of the technique: Declaration, Energetic Testing, Enter and the Commands.
Step 1. Enter the Now Healing Space.
Step 2. Declare: The first time you do this exercise, use this Declaration: “I shift my
energy effectively.” (Do this now – there’s no checklist in this exercise.)
[NOTE: The next time you do this exercise, feel free to choose any issue or goal that
you want to align with. You’ll state your goal as a Declaration, using a single word,
phrase, or simple sentence. Frame it positively, in terms of what you want, not what you
don’t want. Keep it as simple as possible. If there are multiple aspects of your goal, write
them down as separate Declarations. Go through this whole exercise for one single
Declaration before moving on to the next Declaration.]
Now shift your focus away from your Declaration and all the issues and emotions and
objections surrounding it, and get ready to test the energy of the issue, from the vantage
point of Infinite Self, not local self.
Step 3. Test: With Energetic Testing, check to see whether you are connected or
disconnected to your Declaration.
a. If your test gives you a connected and strong response, you are connected to your
Declaration – there’s no disconnect on the energetic level. Find another aspect of
your Declaration, or a different goal or desire that tests “disconnected” so that you
can continue with this exercise.
b. If your test gives you a disconnected or weak response, you are disconnected from
your Declaration on some level. Go on to Step 4.
Step 4. Command: Repair the disconnect. Say “Align” and sweep your focus up your
Center. You don’t need to think about the Declaration again – your Infinite Self will
know what to Align.
Step 5. Re-Test: Now re-test your Declaration, to check whether the energy has shifted
from disconnected to connected. Your fingers should now stay connected.
In the rare case that the muscle test still shows a disconnect, do a few Enters. Now re-
Step 6. Be Aware and Compare: Tune into your Declaration, your goal. How does it
feel right now? Tune into this moment – as opposed to how it felt before, or how it
usually feels. Now compare – does it still feel exactly identical to how disconnected it felt
before? Or can you discern any change in how connected it feels? How much more?
Does it still feel like a problem? Be OK with however it feels. Can you discern any other
kinds of change? A feeling of lightness? Of not being bothered by the lack of your goal?
If you’re not satisfied with the improvement, repeat the Enter a few more times, then
re-test. In the rare instance that you still don’t notice improvement, don’t worry. You’ll
get a chance to work on this later.
Congratulations! You have just shifted your energy and increased your connection to
You’ll get lots more practice with these six steps in subsequent exercises. You’ll do a
streamlined version of this process repeatedly, using many different Declarations. The
next exercise, Exercise 7, gives you the short form.
Awareness, Acknowledgment and Non-Attachment to Change
Continue to be aware of the changes that manifest in your life over the next few
minutes, days and weeks. Learn to recognize and acknowledge the effects of shifting
your energy. Some changes are subtle, and some are huge transformations. Be neutral to
how much change, and what kind of change. Be OK with no change. If there is a
difference, don’t be surprised – energy shifts always cause some kind of change.
Acknowledge and appreciate the difference, no matter how large or small. Even if you
notice zero tangible change, be OK with that. Enjoy the sense of non-attachment to
change. Know that it’s just a matter of finding the right energy shifts – with perseverance
and awareness, you will be able to sense a difference in the energy. Appreciate the fact
that you are able to ask the question “Is there a change?” Just think of all the times that
you’ve assumed that change was impossible, and acknowledge that you now have the
possibility of change!
∞ Exercise 7: Align with a Declaration – Short Form
Description: After you get familiar with the details in Exercise 6 above, use this short
form. Practice going through it quickly, without pondering the process or the meaning.
The quicker the better! No need to over-focus or over-think the details. This is not a
meditation. This is not a problem for your conscious mind to solve. Your Infinite Self is
doing the work at lightspeed. Maintaining a light, easy, non-attached focus is more
effective than laboring over each step.
See how fast you can get at Aligning with your Declaration, using this short form. It
can comfortably take as little as 10 seconds to go through the steps once – and even less
time if you skip Step 6 until the end of your session.
The first time you do this exercise, use the following Declaration (which is related to
the previous Declaration in Exercise 6). “I shift my energy effortlessly.”
Step 1. Enter the Now Healing Space.
Step 2. Declare: Briefly focus on your Declaration. Say it either out loud or silently to
Step 3. Test: Stop focusing on your Declaration, stop experiencing it, and instead, go
into neutral testing mode, non-attached to the outcome. Use an Energetic Test to check
whether or not you are connected to your Declaration.
Step 4. Command: If you are not connected, do an Enter plus Align. If you are already
connected, begin at Step 2, with a different Declaration.
Step 5. Re-Test: Check whether the energy has shifted into alignment.
a. If you have more Declarations, repeat Steps 2 through 5 for each
Declaration. Here are some suggestions for more Declarations on this topic:
“I am aware of the shift in my energy.” “I am OK with the changes that
happen.” “I take joyous responsibility for changing my own energy.” Feel
free to create your own Declarations.
b. When you’re done, finish up with Step 6.
Step 6. Be Aware, Compare: How do you feel now, as compared to before? Tune in to
your physical, mental and emotional cues. Any changes, right at this moment? Observe
the changes that happen over time, regarding your Declaration.
Vary your Energetic Testing Style
Play around with your energetic testing. Try something other than finger muscle
testing, to get a feel for different kinds of energetic tests.
Use an energetic test of your body’s physical intuition, to find out whether you are
connected or disconnected to your Declaration. Do you sense any disconnect, weakness
or lack of support associated with your Declaration? Or does your body feel strong,
comfortable and supporting the Declaration? Notice any subtle sensations of blockage or
weakness, in the pit of your stomach, or in your chest or throat.
∞ Exercise 8: Align with your Goal – Checklist for a Specific Goal or Declaration
This exercise gives you a powerful and profound technique to align with a particular
goal. It will reconnect and repair most if not all of your blockages. You will likely notice
change, and movement towards your goal, or at the very least, a healthy non-attachment
that opens up possibilities.
The checklist targets specific areas where disconnects and blockages commonly
occur, and allows you to repair the connection.
Each item on the checklist fills in the blank for your Declaration. For instance, “I am
ready to complete my project effortlessly” or “Positive cash flow: I am willing to do what
it takes.” (Where it doesn’t make grammatical sense, don’t worry about it. I tried to make
a grammatically consistent list, but after puzzling over it for a while, I gave up, realizing
that grammar was an unnecessary limitation in this case! So just play with the wording to
make it work in context.)
Instructions: Use the Six Steps of Now Healing
Step 1. Enter the Now Healing Space
Step 2. Declare: Create a Declaration for your affirmation or goal. Notice how it feels
Step 3. Test: Go through the checklist below and test your connection to each item on it.
(No need to repeat your Declaration for each item.) An appropriate connection will test
Connected. If the item tests Connected, go on to the next item on the checklist.
Step 4. Command: If the item tests Disconnected, Align, using an Enter to your Center.
(You may notice in some of the items, that you’re Aligning with non-attachment… which
is very similar to Disentangling! This is an example of how you can be flexible with the
commands you use.)
Step 5. Re-Test and then go on to the next item on the checklist, repeating Steps 3, 4,

touch with how your Declaration feels right now, at this moment. Has it changed? Be

Making Your Own Declaration
For any goal or project, create a Declaration and then run Exercise 8 (Align with Your
Goal, and also Exercise 9 in the next chapter (Disentangle Blockages to Your Goal). Just
think of what you want to create, and make a Declaration for it. Feel free to change or
add to the checklists in the exercises to fit your needs.
Frame it positively. Your Declaration will be phrased in the positive (what you want)
rather than in the negative (what you don’t want). So avoid negative Declarations that
sound positive, like “I want to stop being so tired all the time.” Instead, transform that
thought into your desired outcome: “I have the energy to complete my tasks effortlessly.”
One idea per Declaration. Avoid long and complex Declarations with many clauses
and ideas. Instead, break it down into several simple Declarations with one idea each. For
instance, instead of “I lose weight easily by exercising more and eating healthier,”
separate each component of your goal into its own Declaration, and do an Enter for each
one: “I lose weight easily. I exercise easily. Exercising feels good. I enjoy healthy foods
more than unhealthy foods. I am positively motivated to make changes. I am ready to
change for the better.”
Try simplifying your Declaration down to basic components. Instead of “I am ready
to change for the better” you can try “Ready to change” or even “Change.”
Reverse your Declaration. Try turning your Declaration around – get Disentangled
or non-attached to its opposite. (We’ll do more on reversals in Chapter 11.) For instance,
after you align with “I lose weight easily” turn your Declaration around to “I gain weight
easily” and “I don’t lose weight easily” – and either Align with non-attachment or
Disentangle from those Declarations. Reversals and turnarounds of a goal may actually
weaken your energy field. You can determine if they do, with Energetic Testing. In the
next chapter, you’ll work with negative and unwanted energies.
Change your Declarations often. Your general goal may stay the same, but your
Declarations about it may change from day to day. Play with your Declarations, varying,
refining, or expanding them. Keep them applicable to the energy in the moment, rather
than the energy when you began. Stay tuned in to how the situation has shifted.
If your Declaration starts to feel rote and ritualistic, stop using it and find a new one.
There’s no need to hang on to all your old Declarations that used to work well but have
stopped feeling meaningful – it’s better to form new Declarations that apply in the
The goal of this work is to be connected with Wholeness in general, and with your
Declarations specifically. When you are multidimensionally aligned, there is no
blockage, no problem, no separation between you and Wholeness – and between you and
your goal, between you and the manifestation of your Declaration.
8. How to Use Align, Disentangle and Energetic
Testing for “Negative” Conditions
In Now Healing, we don’t define conditions as positive or negative, or good-for-you
vs. bad-for-you. We are only concerned with your connection or disconnection from
We don’t do Energetic Testing to check if something is bad, we do it to determine if
your energy field is weakened/disconnected by that thing.
Your energy field may be disconnected by a good thing, like success, while a bad
thing, like failure, causes no energetic disconnection. Similarly, the command Align does
not only correspond to good or wanted conditions, nor does Disentangle correspond to
bad or unwanted states of being.
Enter and Align can be used for Negative States
Align is not just used for positive states. You can do an Enter or use the Align
command to align with Infinite Self – in the presence of something negative.
For instance, you might see the item “poverty” on a checklist. Doing an Align doesn’t
connect you to poverty, it connects you to Wholeness in the energy field of poverty. For
clarity’s sake, you can think of it like this: “I Align with Wholeness in the presence of
poverty.” Or, “Poverty does not weaken my energy field – I am Aligned.”
Align is Often Sufficient – You May Not Even Need to Disentangle
Since it’s multi-dimensional and multi-level, the Align command is often enough to
repair any disconnects. You may not even need to use the Disentangle command.
Aligning with what you want can take care of the details – it can override the need to
Disentangle from what you don’t want.
To determine whether Disentangle is warranted, do an Energetic Test. If Disentangle
shows a response of disconnection, it means there’s some disentangling to do!
Disentangle can be used for Positive States
Why is Disentangle not just used for negative things? Because you may need to
disentangle from so-called “good” things too. For instance, it’s extremely common for
the thing you want, but have difficulty achieving, to actually weaken your energy field –
unbeknownst to you. Working to achieve financial success might trigger non-conscious
ancestral DNA memories of traumas that accompanied success, thereby entangling
success with fear of trauma.
Some other examples: when you Align with a goal, you may want to Disentangle it
first, to clean out all the energetic gunk around it – for instance, other people’s
assumptions about your goal.
In relationships with your friends, spouse, kids or parents, Disentangling and then
Re-Integrating your energy fields can create huge positive shifts.
If you’re used to your body feeling good, flexible, light and attractive, your
expectations about that might disconnect you from Wholeness if you happen to feel a
little less flexible or attractive one day. Disentangling from so-called “positive”
expectations can be very freeing.
How to do Energetic Testing for Negative Items
The exercise below contains many so-called “negative” issues to disentangle.
Remember, the test result you want is always “connected/strong/whole” – whether it’s for
a positive or negative item.
Some people get confused by this, because when they test negative items like
blockages or fear, the test outcome shows “Connected." People often ask if that means
they’re connected to the bad thing that they don’t want. No, it doesn’t.
You are testing your energy field in the presence of the item on the checklist. When
you test Connected, your energy field is connected to Wholeness – even around a so-
called negative state. When you test Disconnected, the thing you’re testing causes your
energy field to weaken – whether that thing is something you want or don’t want.
The ideal state is when your energy field remains connected, centered, unweakened,
healthy and strong, no matter what – in the face of both negative and positive situations.

You can use the same goal or Declaration you worked with in Exercise 8 (Align with
your Goal), or feel free to choose a different goal. You will disentangle from negative
energy and blockages associated with your goal.
Instructions: Use the Six Steps of Now Healing
Step 1. Enter the Now Healing Space.
Step 2. Declare your goal.
Step 3. Test: If the item on the checklist weakens or disconnects your test, then it’s
weakening your energy field. Go to Step 4 to Disentangle it. If your muscle test stays
connected, move on to testing the next item on the checklist.
Step 4. Command: do an Enter, adding the Disentangle Command.
Step 5. Re-Test to make sure the item now tests strong/connected. Then go on to the
next item on the checklist, repeating Steps 2-5 for each item on the checklist.

Now tune in to your sense of blockage. Be aware of any changes in how it feels, and
how you perceive it.
Ask Infinite Self to Show You What to Disentangle
If you still experience the lack of your goal as a problem, then prepare by getting into
the Now Healing Space, and test your goal. After doing Exercises 8 and 9 above, you will
only rarely still find a disconnect around the lack of your goal. The above exercises will
most likely have corrected any non-conscious disconnects. If the exercises don’t seem to
do the trick, ask Infinite Self to show you the disconnects. Then get quiet and open to
receive the answers. Test it, to make sure your intuition is accurate, then disentangle and
align as needed.
9. Scanning the Body
In the next two chapters, we will open your connection to healing in general. Once
you are connected to Wholeness in a general way, self-healing of specific problems is
much more likely to be automatic.
First, let’s look at how to find the energetic blockages and disconnects in your
physical body, with Energetic Testing. Remember to have no prior assumptions or
opinions about what these disconnects are. Don’t assume that knee pain is caused by a
problem in the knee, even if it’s an obvious injury or trauma.
Your conscious mind usually doesn’t hold the answer – the universal mind does. To
get the answer, step out of your local mind, into the non-local spacetime of Infinite Self.
Energetic Testing is Not Medical Diagnosis or Medical Testing
Energetic testing is not a medical test – you’re not looking for medical problems,
you’re identifying energetic disconnection. If you have a particular medical diagnosis,
it’s confusing and often useless to try to corroborate it with Energetic Testing. The
medical and the energetic are two different realms. They test completely different aspects
of reality. Energetic Testing for medical causes is like trying to use a voltmeter to
measure temperature, or comparing apples and orangutans.
For instance, if your doctor tested you and found that you had strep throat, or high
blood pressure, you would only rarely find an energetic disconnect in the throat, or the
circulatory system. The Energetic Testing you’ve learned in this book is not suitable for
“yes/no” questions like “Do I have strep throat?” It only identifies disconnected energy or
connected energy. It doesn’t tell you why, or what caused it biologically. And it does not
give medical diagnoses.
In this work, infection by streptococcus is not the energetic cause of becoming ill, it is
more like an effect – of the body’s inability to self-heal from an infinite array of possible
stresses, traumas, emotional triggers or energy imbalances. Infection is the result of an
energetic disconnect or entanglement, that causes the body to be weakened enough to be
overrun by one of many ubiquitous germs.
To find the medical cause, doctors might take a throat culture, and run other medical
tests. They would compare your results to a standard to determine whether or not you
meet the criteria for a particular infection, disease or syndrome.
Energetic Testing does not follow medical logic and is not based upon medical
assumptions. It’s based upon the assumption that what can be perceived with the
conscious, logical mind is just a small fraction of reality, so we need to look beyond the
Energetic Solutions are Not Medical Solutions or Cures
Another difference between the medical model and the energetic one is the way they
solve the problem. The medical solution of killing the bacteria is like killing the
mosquitoes in stagnant water – it works, it has an effect. But it identifies the problem as
the mosquitoes, rather than the stagnation. Killing the mosquitoes doesn’t treat the cause.
And the infestation could easily recur.
Energetic Testing, Alignment and Disentanglement are analogous to finding what’s
blocking the stream and removing the blockage, allowing the water to flow properly, thus
eliminating the environment that invites mosquitoes – or strep, or viruses, or
Pain, illness, injuries, stiffness, allergies, and discomfort are not just problems on the
physical level. They are the physical manifestation of separation from Wholeness on
other levels as well. They are an indication that something needs to change. Make the
correct energetic change and the symptom will disappear. And it can disappear very
quickly – going back to our mosquito analogy, a surge of water resulting from removing
a blockage can flush those mosquitoes away in moments.

Find energetic disconnects in your physical body by scanning: place your focus and
attention on various parts of your body. Test each part as you scan.
The areas that test weak/disconnected won’t necessarily correspond with areas where
you experience discomfort. Conversely, areas of pain or injury won’t necessarily test
weak. But repairing any disconnection will have effects in other areas of your body, and
your life. Stay neutral to the process, and the outcome, with no prior assumptions.
Play with scanning with your eyes open, then with eyes closed. Either way is fine –
it’s best to stay flexible about how you sense energy. Just feel for the contrast in the
When you’re comfortable doing a general scan, feel free to get as specific as you want
– you can test each toe, each joint, each organ, gland, structure or function. If something
“calls” to you or pops out as different from everything else, know that your Enhanced
Sense Perception is kicking in. Test the item that popped into your mind. If you are
Aligned with Infinite Self, non-attached and neutral, the thing that came to your attention
will very likely test disconnected.
Instructions: Use the Six Steps of Now Healing
Step 1. Enter the Now Healing Space: get neutral and step out of your assumptions and
Step 2. Declare what you’re testing. Ask to be shown “What part of my body is
disconnected from Wholeness?” Notice how your body feels right now – locate any areas
Step 3. Test: Scan your body. Start at your feet, and move your attention up… ankles,
lower legs, knees, thighs, groin, middle, chest, shoulders, arms, head… testing for
connection as you go. You can scan inside the body too, in the same manner. Just focus
on an area and test for connection/disconnection.
Step 4. Command: When an area tests weak or disconnected, Enter the Align command.
Step 5. Re-Test. If it now tests connected, move on, keep scanning. If it’s still
disconnected, get more specific. For instance, if the foot tests disconnected, ask “What
part of the foot?” Test each different part by thinking of it while you test.
Step 6. Be Aware and Compare. Tune in to how you feel right now. Have any aches,
pains or stiffness changed? The energy shifts instantly, and you may perceive changes
within moments. If you don’t notice an improvement in areas of discomfort, try getting
more specific, for instance, by using anatomy charts as described below. Or, do the
emotional and mental exercises in the next chapter, because your discomfort may not
come from the physical level at all. Be aware of changes in how you feel over time. You
may notice non-physical improvements too, like emotional lightness or mental clarity.
Scanning Checklists and Charts
You’ve already been scanning checklists, in most of the above exercises. You can
also scan an anatomy chart, just like you scanned those lists, or scanned your body in
Exercise 10 above. Think of the chart as a surrogate, a map of your body. When you scan
it, you are really scanning yourself (or whoever you hold in your intention).
This is a great way to help you visualize inside the body. Purchase an anatomy chart
or book. Systematically test each area of the chart. Or, you can also just generally scan
the chart – get as general or detailed as you want. You don’t have to know the meaning or
the function of the items on the chart.
The chart can represent your body, or the body of another person that you’re working
on. You can even work on your pets, using animal anatomy charts, or just by scanning
Finding disconnects in your physical body is just a tiny fraction of what can cause
pain or ailments. In the next few chapters, we’ll look at some other areas that can affect
physical health, like connection to Life Energy, as well as thoughts and emotions.
10. Connection to Life Energy, Light and
What is Life Energy?
Life Energy is your power source. It also gives your body the ability to self-repair and
regenerate. When your connection to this energy is blocked, there is less ability to adapt
and repair. Decay or disease can eventually overwhelm the body.
A formal definition of Life Energy would only hold up well if scientific research
could identify and quantify the Biofield. In the absence of such identification, I propose
the term Life Energy as a placeholder symbolizing connection to life. I’m using “Life
Energy” as a term for something that I experience on a daily basis, for which there is no
existing satisfactory word. I don’t love the phrase “life force” because Life Energy isn’t
necessarily a force. Life Energy also does not strictly mean qi or prana.
Yes, I know that making up a symbolic term and declaring “this exists” is highly un-
scientific. But luckily, this ain’t science. In the realm of energetics, mentally working
with ideas or symbols can very effectively change reality. Many forms of energy-shifting
rely on representations and images that can be made up and manipulated on the spot. Orin
and Sanaya Roman teach how to change reality by mentally altering and evolving images
that represent a situation. Matrix Energetics also works with symbols, archetypes,
images, and commands, to change reality, with profound effects.
Life Energy can be perceived in many forms, for instance Light or Love or a sense of
Wholeness and interconnection. It has many aspects and exists in multiple dimensions. It
can even be measured with Energetic Testing, as you’ll see in Exercise 11 below.
Connecting with Life Energy is extremely healing – whether or not it exists as a proven
The Thing That Heals
My first experience with self-healing using Life Energy came when I was lying in
bed, barely able to function because of chronic Lyme disease. Desperately praying for
help, though I was unaccustomed to prayer, I suddenly became aware of a very pure,
clean, light energy running through me. It felt like the earth’s green, regenerating energy
– an energy that circles the planet and makes plants grow and cuts heal. After about ten
minutes of lying there, vibrating with this energy, I was able to get up and move around,
feeling physically and emotionally better than I had in a long time.
I called this “The Thing That Heals” or TTTH. I still don’t know exactly what it is,
but I do know that it’s very accessible, effective and of very high vibration. Many of my
clients have called TTTH to them, with great results. TTTH is just one aspect of Life
Energy. There are many other varieties of healing that you can access, simply by asking
for them, or calling them to you.

have a Life Energy blockage.
Even if nothing is bothering you and you feel fine, check anyway. This will help
avoid future problems caused by Life Energy blockages that you’re unaware of now.

Life Energy is Responsive
You can easily increase your Life Energy by just inviting it. Life Energy responds to
conscious instructions and mental requests. Simply “call” it to you. The mere request is
enough to open the connection. If you add Enter your request will be even more powerful
When you exercise, call Life Energy to the muscles you’re working, and to your lungs
and heart. Life Energy wants to flow into areas of your body that are “working” – so as
you flex, stretch, tense and relax, consciously allow it in. Even areas that you can’t
readily access voluntarily by moving, tensing, or relaxing, like your heart, brain, bones
and cells, can receive increased Life Energy when you mentally focus on them. Energy
flows where attention goes!
Tune in to that healing, regenerating energy. Observe and sense Life Energy flowing
through your breath, your blood, your bones, and into each cell. This is not just
visualization. It is an act of connection.
Open your connection to the vitality that’s all around you, and invite it in. Allow your
innate regeneration and repair capabilities to become fully enabled.
Check your Connection to Healing in General
Much healing work, both allopathic and alternative, focuses on specifics. The habit of
many healing modalities is to look at the details of illness on a structural, nutritional,
cellular, biochemical or microscopic level. There’s nothing wrong with analyzing
specifics, if that’s where the energetic disconnect lies. But the assumption that a problem
must be solved from the bottom up often means that you’re barking up the wrong
hierarchy, completely ignoring the forest for the trees. Remember to check the top-down
view – the big picture.
If you’ve ever tried to heal from a chronic condition without success, you may
actually be disconnected from healing in a general way.
Just like you may be disconnected from, or weakened by, a goal or desire, you may
also be disconnected from your goal of healing from a particular condition.
Of course, you can look at disconnection from healing in a specific way too. The
circuits connecting you to healing could be turned off, in a million places, for a myriad of
non-conscious reasons. In the exercise below, you’ll reconnect on many levels, both
general and specific.

Light is another aspect of Life Energy. This kind of light is not usually on the visible
spectrum. As a healing energy, it’s well-known – people who have never even heard the
term lightworker will commonly “send light” to help someone in need. Everyone can
easily work with Light. It takes no talent or expertise. Kids can do it. Theoretical
physicists can do it. All you need is the willingness to try.
My son Moss was thrilled when he experienced working with Light, at the age of
eight. To get him focused on how to sense it, I asked if he ever saw colored light when
his eyes were closed in the dark. I had him shut his eyes, and see and feel the “invisible”
light between his eyes. Then I asked him to let the Light from the universe pour into him.
It took about ten seconds before he said, “Mom, that feels great!” He played with the
Light for a while, changing its colors, and sending it to different parts of his body. Then
he sent it to me. It did feel great! We sent it to our hearts, our cells, our brains, and he
suggested sending to the trees and the earth. Without any prior knowledge or experience,
he informed me that this Light was coming from something like a mineral or a crystal, in
a sun that was not our sun. I’ll let you know if he comes up with anything more on that
Solar Light and the light of the Spiritual Sun, as taught by Orin and Sanaya Roman,
are the “soul” of the sun. You don’t need to know what they are in order to access them:
“Your intuitive understanding of what light is and how to connect with it is
more important than any definitions I could give you. If I were to say to you,
“Connect with the light,” you would instinctively know how to do that, for your
Higher Self is always connected with light.
You can bring more light into your life by thinking of it. Light responds to
your thought of it; as you think of it, it is immediately drawn to you.”

Ask Solar Light to come into your cells, into your third eye, heart, or into any area of
body-mind-spirit in need of healing.
Orin also shows us another way to work with Light: just add it to any situation or
problem. Light it up, in white light, or colored light – visualize the energy of the
situation any way that works for you. Make that energy more beautiful by adding light or
patterns of light. Then feel the situation shift!
This kind of Light comes in different frequencies, many of them outside the visible
range. Light carries information. This information usually cannot be translated into words
– it is off the human and local-mind scale, on the macrocosmic universal energy level.
But you can feel Light or sense it with your mind’s eye. Many people first experience it,
with eyes closed, as a faint violet or multicolored light in the third eye area between the
eyes. You may experience it differently. You may not even see it visually – it may be
more of a sensation.
I remember “playing” with mandalas of light when I first became sensitive to energy.
For a while, I was unsure whether the light was real – I thought I was just imagining it.
As I became more sensitive to energy, I realized that this beautiful light-show was
actually healing me and downloading information and programs I needed for self-
Light is a living energy by which all things are empowered. It can transform and
transmute the energy of a negative situation. It can connect you to Infinite Self. And best
of all, it always comes when called!
No Rituals Necessary
As with any healing energy, the way you work with Light may feel different every
time you do it. Avoid making a ritual out of it. Rituals were useful for a long stretch of
human development. They can still help us remember how to get into a state of openness,
if that is an unfamiliar or foreign state. They can focus group energy, tap into the power
of the past, and the power of repetition.
But rituals can also freeze up the energy, cementing it into one form. The energy
needs to be free to change as necessary, to flow where needed. Rather than making a
ritual, be open to a brief moment of preparation instead, such as getting neutral, getting
into the Now Healing Space, or Aligning with Infinite Self. Let that preparation be
dynamic. Allow it to change as needed.
If you do yoga or any physical exercise, you know that the same pose will feel
different from day to day. What worked yesterday won’t necessarily work now. The
warm-up you needed to do most for the last two weeks may not be the one you need most
at this moment. The same goes for working with energy and Light. Allow yourself to
sense the changes, rather than cement the process. Be non-attached, without expectations.
Play with the Light!
How to Heal with Light
You can heal yourself and others by “sending” Light to the Center, heart chakra, or
areas of pain or discomfort, even into organs and cells. Of course, you’re not using your
energy to force the “sending.” It’s more like a gentle awareness, or a decision you make
that creates an effortless connection to the Light – it’s the same easy focus you use when
you do an Enter to the Center.
Be aware of how your ability to connect and align with Light increases with practice.
As you work with this healing Light, notice how you are now healing.
How to Integrate Light Healing with Enter
If you do “old-school energy healing” or running energy, use Enter to help increase
the amount of Light you can receive, hold, and transmit. You do not need to run energy to
work with Light, nor do you need to use your own energy to send Light. Just use a simple
Align command, or imagine flipping on a light switch.
If there is an area of pain that won’t receive much light no matter how much you
focus there, use Energetic Testing and Enter to disentangle the blockage.
Direct, aim or focus Light to the Center as you do an Enter. The Light shines through
and around the Enter, taking care of other blockages and barriers that you didn’t identify.
Be aware of the coherence and oneness of the Light.
Just remember to keep it easy and… light! Don’t over-focus. If you find yourself
having to use lots of effort and force to send Light, you’re working too hard. You may
not need to consciously add Light at that particular moment – the Enter may be enough.
Working with Light is effortless.
You’ve worked with Light, aligned your body with Life Energy, and aligned with
healing, having disentangled blockages. How does that feel? Does your body feel more
comfortable? Are you more connected to a sense of possibility? Are your emotions
lighter? Are your thoughts more open-ended, with fewer limitations? Notice how you feel
and think over the next few hours and days.
Higher, inspired thoughts and lighter, non-attached, flowing emotions are not just a
by-product of health and healing. They can also create healing in your body, and in all
areas of life. In the next chapter, we’ll go into how to align your thoughts and emotions
with Infinite Self.
11. Emotions and Thoughts
Non-Attachment to Emotions, Thoughts and Problems
Non-attachment occurs naturally when you are connected to Wholeness. You don’t
need to attach or hold on to anything, if you are one with all-that-is – because you already
have it all.
We’ve looked at non-attachment as an important element of being in the Now Healing
Space, and doing this work. Non-attachment also supports healing in general. It allows
energy and information to flow in and out of your field without getting stuck. Health is a
state of ebb and flow. Like breathing air or eating food, everything must come into and
out of your system appropriately.
Attachment creates toxicity, as the thing you hold onto begins to fester and clutter up
your systems. It impedes the free flow of energy. This applies to every level of existence
– physical, mental and emotional.
Emotions themselves aren’t harmful – even negative ones – if they flow in and out of
your energy field smoothly and quickly. But if you attach to them, they become toxic.
Even positive emotions, joy, happiness, love and peace will wither and decay when
you over-attach to them, hold onto them, and don’t allow them to flow freely. Change is
the natural healthy state for any kind of emotion.
Thoughts, too, must come and go. It’s the ones that get stuck in your field – like
habitual opinions, mental loops, or mental chatter – that create rigidity and restrict your
Non-attachment to your problem is the quickest way to solve it. Being emotionally
and mentally non-attached to a problem is the first step in releasing it.
It’s Not All About Positive Thinking
Contrary to standard new age beliefs and a simplistic view of the law of attraction, it’s
not effective to get rid of all negative emotions and have only positive emotions. You
have to uncover which emotions – and they can be either negative or positive –
disconnect you and which ones strengthen and support you.
Positive thinking and positive feelings are only effective manifestation tools if they
connect you. This subtle twist on the law of attraction is similar to what Abraham-Hicks
discuss in their later books as of this writing. They say, and I’m freely paraphrasing and
extrapolating, that the degree to which you feel good will determine the truth of your
connection and attraction to a higher vibration. But feeling good in this case has a very
specific meaning – it’s not wishy washy or wishful thinking or forcing yourself to feel
enthusiastic about the thing you want to attract. Instead, this kind of feeling is like a
reproducible Energetic Test! Does it feel connected, strong and good, or does it feel
disconnected, weak and bad? Feeling good or feeling bad, when they are aligned with
Infinite Self, clarity, neutrality and non-attachment, are Energetic Tests. Feeling good is a
connected test result, and feeling bad is disconnected. If you are clear and neutral, you’ll
be able to systematically recognize and interpret those feelings as a test of energy.
A healthy mind is not about positive thinking. It’s about knowing what connects you
and what disconnects you.
Many people, unbeknownst to themselves, are energetically disconnected and
weakened by positive emotions. Or they might have a reversal effect where negative
emotions strengthen them, and positive ones weaken them.
When your conscious thoughts and opinions about something are the opposite of your
Energetic Test result, that’s a reversal. For instance, if you think you are aligned with a
positive affirmation but testing shows a disconnect, you have a reversal. Another example
would be testing strong and connected for fear, but weak and disconnected for
fearlessness – the thought of having no fear creates a disconnect in your energy field. Yet
another example: say you have constant arguments with a loved one, and you truly want
more peace and understanding. However, your energy field might be weakened by peace,
due to non-conscious negative associations with peaceful relationships – stemming from
a past trauma where peace was entangled with a lack of attention.
A reversal is a disconnection from what you want that is associated with an attraction
to what you don’t want.
Many systems of healing work with reversals. Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
and other Meridian Tapping Techniques like Thought Field Therapy (TFT) call it
psychological reversal. Their solution corrects polarity (discussed below) through
tapping on certain acupuncture points.
Dr. Kam Yuen often refers to reverse perception and explains this with a zen-like
quip: “When you get better, you feel worse.” The Yuen Method trains practitioners to test
the opposite of the issue, as well as the issue itself. This is extremely powerful, because it
clears the non-conscious realm where the bulk of underlying energetic weaknesses are
In Yuen Method, an “opposite” is not only mental or emotional. It can also be an
opposite part of the body. If your lower back hurts, test your upper front – don’t be
surprised if the energy tests weak there! Of course, there can be many kinds of
“opposites” – the opposite of the lower back might just as often be the neck, or the groin.
The lesson is to look elsewhere from the location of the problem, in yin-yang pairs.
The reversal effect works on all levels. On an emotional level, the opposite of your
fear might be fearlessness. Or someone else’s fear. Or a different emotion altogether, like
suppressed guilt, or anger, might trigger fear. If you disentangle the underlying emotion,
rather than the fear itself, the fear will disappear.
Byron Katie’s The Work treats reversals in an effective and interesting way. She has
you experiment with a turnaround. Through neutral observation of your thoughts and
assumptions, you look at your “problem” in reverse – for instance if you think “He
doesn’t love me,” you examine different turned-around versions of your statement, like “I
don’t love him” or “I don’t love me” This gets you to step back and discern the truth of
An obvious way to identify reversal is if you get defensive and insist “No way, I do
not have psychological reversal, how dare you say that!” An even better way is with
Energetic Testing. Simply test the problem. Then test its reversals.
Another kind of reversal is when you have a goal or desire, but it causes an energetic
disconnect. You say “I want a higher income” or “Better relationships” or “I want to stop
procrastinating and finish that project.” But when you test it, there’s a big disconnect.
Some people blame secondary benefits for self-sabotage, like “If I lose the weight I
won’t have any more excuses to avoid living my life to the fullest” or “I’ll get too much
attention from the opposite sex.” My caveat would be to test these assumptions about
secondary benefits. Just because they applied to someone at some point in time, doesn’t
mean they always apply. Like other common assumptions or expectations – even those
from tried-and-true sources like psychology, twelve-step programs or common sense
solutions – don’t believe, test!
You’ve probably already experienced reversal, doing the exercises in this book. You
may have been surprised when you tested disconnected to something you wanted, or
strong to something you thought was a problem.
Proper polarity is when the various flows of energy in the body-mind-spirit are going
in the appropriate direction. For a myriad of reasons, for instance emotional upset or
stress, geopathic stress, dehydration, radiation, fatigue and any number of other causes,
polarity can reverse itself.
Like the negative and positive poles of a magnet, polarity must be correct for proper
functioning. Polarity also refers to a dynamic balance of yin and yang in the energy
It’s usually easy to correct reversed polarity. Just do a simple, general Enter while
commanding “Polarity.” Visualizing circles or figure eights, as Dr. Kam Yuen describes
in his books, will also re-set polarity.
The infinity sign (∞) at the beginning of every exercise in this book supports your
polarity as you’re doing the exercises.
Disentangle Negative Emotions
Unlike other therapies that require talking about and thinking about your so-called
problem, with this technique there is no need to analyze emotions, regress to find painful
memories, re-live traumas or think positive while suppressing the negative.
You can simply disentangle from your negative emotions and unwanted thoughts, and
transform self-sabotaging behavior. Do a Disentangle to effortlessly and immediately
remove them from your energy field.
When you remove files from your computer, there’s no need to open each file, or re-
read and re-examine every byte of information as you trash it – you just hit delete on the
whole file, effective immediately. The same goes for your energy field. Unlike older
clearing techniques that require you to process and re-experience your problem over and
over, you can quickly and easily disengage, disentangle and delete.
What Happens to the Stuff You Disentangle?
The environmentally conscious reader may be wondering “Where does the
disentangled and deleted stuff go? Am I creating a toxic dump in some third-world
Sometimes Disentangle just severs your connection to the negative energy.
Sometimes, like a waste product, the negative energy is eliminated and recycled, on all
levels and in all dimensions. It transforms into neutral energy, so don’t worry about
polluting the environment with negative energy.
Working with an Emotion As Energy
When you Disentangle from a so-called negative emotion, it’s much more effective if
you work with it as pure energy. That way, you’re not confusing your experience of the
emotion with shifting the energy field of the emotion.
If you’re in the throes of experiencing a negative emotion, try to remember to get into
the Now Healing Space of neutrality, non-attachment and alignment with Infinite Self.
That alone will go a long way towards disentangling from it. The Now Healing Space
will also give you enhanced sense perception, enabling you to zoom away from the
emotion and observe its pattern, location and other information.
In the exercise below, you will find your emotion as energy – without identifying it,
analyzing it or experiencing it. You won’t look for the meanings of the emotion, or the
story of its origins or what caused it. You simply find its pattern or energy field in an
abstract, non-verbal way.
Don’t worry if you “don’t know how” to find it as energy. Just go with whatever pops
into your mind. You can even make something up! Whatever you “make up” becomes an
effective and real way to work with the energy.
There’s a video of a similar process, that guides you through a disentanglement of a
problem or upset. It’s not exactly the same as the exercise below, but you can use it to get
the general idea.

∞ Exercise 14: Disentangle from a Negative Emotion – Working with its Energy
Field, Pattern or Waveform
In this exercise, you’ll skip the six steps (you know them well enough by now to use
them as needed). Instead, you’ll work with changing the energy field of your negative
emotion. You’ll experience disentanglement not just as a command, but as a process.
Enter the Now Healing Space
Declare the negative emotion.
From your Infinite Self, find the negative emotion as energy (step back from
experiencing it as your local self). Here are some possible ways to do this:
- Find a symbol of your emotion.
- Make a box or container that contains your emotion.
- Find or feel its energy field, pattern, grid or waveform in space.
- See it on an imaginary screen in your mind’s eye.
Make space or separation between you and the symbol/box/energy field. Here are some
suggestions for how to do this:
- Visually see them separating.
- Command them to separate, by saying “Separate” and doing an Enter.
- Feel or sense the distance between you increasing.
Play with other ways to change the energy of the negative emotion.
- Spin the box faster and faster until the “negative” energy centrifuges out, and only
neutral energy remains.
- Add Light.
- Change the pattern to make it more symmetrical and beautiful.
- If you’re working with a waveform, change the peaks and troughs, or make it
closer to a pure sine wave.
- Put the box or the pattern inside the Now Healing Space and watch it transform.
Do a Disentangle between you and the symbol/box/energy field/pattern.
Be Aware. Notice how it feels now.
Test Common Assumptions and Clichés
Certain common clichés are not on the above checklist, because they hardly ever test
disconnected. For instance, “fear of commitment” is almost always a misnomer – a more
accurate description would be “negative associations with commitment” or “resonance
with ancestral assumptions about commitment” or “fear of loss of freedom” or any
number of underlying energies that trigger fear.
Another example of a false assumption to test would be “fear of success.” This fear is
usually the result of an underlying negative association or trigger. It’s not success itself
that’s the problem, it’s all the stuff around success: responsibility, public scrutiny, being
noticed, or reverse associations like success triggering memories of failure or loss.
New age clichés are just as prone to not being true as medical assumptions are. For
instance, I can’t begin to count the number of times a client with thyroid problems or a
sore throat has said to me “It must be coming from my throat chakra, because I’m afraid
to speak my truth.” Only about three out of umpteen times did testing the energy reveal a
disconnect in the throat chakra related to inability to speak the truth.
Another common new age mea culpa: a client will say “I don’t know why I created
this unwanted situation.” Yes, your thoughts are co-creative. But they’re not the only
thing that creates reality, unless you’re an omnipotent being, always operating completely
from Godself, without any non-consciousness, in which case you’d be responsible for the
creation and upkeep of the entire universe on a daily basis.
Just test the energy. Did you actually create the situation? Maybe you did, but maybe
your ancestors did (a very common finding in this work, which may be discussed in Now
Healing 102). Maybe it was triggered by your reaction to geopathic stress or sunspots or
any number of things outside of your direct and conscious control.
You can take full responsibility for how you react to something without taking full
responsibility for its creation. Be accurate and truthful with yourself. Listen to your
language. Creating something is not the same as attracting it, which is not the same as
being a vibrational match with it. Discern the energy of your statements and thoughts –
do they connect or disconnect you?
Everything is Real
Another new age cliché is that everything is an illusion, nothing is real. Let’s shift our
language, our definition of reality, so that you’re not guilty of believing an illusion. It’s
just as true, and much less disempowering, much more effective and more fun, to say that
everything is real. Even your thoughts, even your non-conscious thoughts, even ancient
archetypes, ancestral curses, flower faeries, closet monsters and alternate universes. All
real. All true. All capable of affecting you, even if they’re just fantasy or fear or figment
of imagination. Nothing is illusion, it’s all just a different perception. Shift the
judgemental concept of “illusion” to the idea that there are infinite modes of perception.
Belief and Trust are Unnecessary
Two of the biggest clichés of all are belief and trust: that you can be anything, have
anything, do anything, if only you believe. Or, if you believe yourself to be a success, or
a loser, then so it is. But belief is not a good indicator of truth. It’s very possible to
believe things that are not true, and conversely, to disbelieve the truth. The successful
person may believe himself to be a loser, and is overcompensating, while the loser might
think of himself as always successful, with no need to take any action.
Trust and belief are unnecessary, if you’re Aligned with Infinite Self, which is a state
beyond trust and beyond belief. To do this work, you don’t need to have self-confidence
or true belief. When I first learned the rudiments of shifting energy, it worked effectively,
even though I certainly didn’t trust myself. In every workshop I teach, there’s always a
few students who are not confident, or who don’t think that they can do this.
Nevertheless, they often get great results. Replace trust and belief with non-attachment,
neutrality and alignment with Wholeness.
Don’t buy into clichés, no matter what the source. Just because people repeat
something doesn’t mean it’s true. Assuming the truth of the truism will mislead you. You
have the power to test any statement’s connection to truth and Wholeness.
Non-attachment to Egolessness
A lot of our thinking and emotions take place at the level of the Ego. Ego is the
separate self, the personality self, the “I” that’s set apart from oneness.
The Ego is never satisfied, always striving, never whole. There has been much
reaction against Ego throughout human history, from Buddhism to Eckhart Tolle.
But part of detachment from Ego is detachment from needing to over-avoid Ego.
There is a time and space for being in Ego, as long as it’s appropriate and not excessive.
Ego can be selfish, self-centered, and always wanting to feed itself with more stuff,
more attention from others. But at its best, balanced Ego is enjoyment – of your
individual accomplishment, intelligence, beauty, humor, talent – of goals achieved, and
appreciation of praise, recognition and gratitude from others. These are normal and
healthy human conditions – if they are balanced and connected to Wholeness. If you are
aware of the difference between your personality-self and your whole, Infinite Self, then
an ebb and flow between them is not unhealthy.
Learn to discern when your Ego is out of balance. How? Simply by observing
yourself, by being aware. As soon as you ask the question “Am I in Ego, or in balance?”
you automatically step back from excessive Ego and connect to balance!
Another technique to identify when your Ego is out of balance is to use Energetic
Testing. If being in an Egoic state weakens your energy field, then it’s a problem. You
can easily solve the problem by doing a quick Enter to Align with your Infinite Self. But
if you do an Energetic Test, and you find that operating from your personality self is not
causing a disconnect with your Infinite Self, or otherwise weakening your energy field,
don’t worry about it! You are balanced, centered, able to easily step out of Ego into
oneness. It’s no problem to occasionally be in Ego, in your daily life.
Eckhart Tolle’s books “The Power of Now” and “A New Earth” have wonderful
lessons on the excesses of Ego, and how to transcend it. But if you aren’t able to live in a
completely Egoless, enlightened state at every moment, don’t beat yourself up –
expecting total Egolessness at all times is not a balanced state.
There’s no need to over-react against Ego. Thinking “Oh no, I’m being way too
egotistical, I’m being a bad person and I really have to stop right now,” is still a state of
Any time you operate from your individual “I” you are in Ego. A simple Alignment
with Infinite Self is enough to connect your “I” to the universal “I Am.”
Thinking and Over-Thinking
A beach-bum friend used to annoy me by saying “You think too much.” My reaction
was usually “Yeah, well, you think too little!” But as I began incorporating neutrality into
my life, I was able to discern the kernel of truth in that seemingly anti-intellectual beach-
blanket statement. I began to understand that there was a difference between high-
vibration, inspired thinking, and over-thinking.
Don’t automatically trust those who tell you that thinking is bad, and you have to get
out of your left brain. That’s an over-reaction to the problem, not a viable solution. It’s
true that our culture, science and education lean heavily towards thinking, often
excluding non-logical forms of mind. But the ideal is an appropriate, dynamic balance
between left and right brain, and between quiet mind and active mind. There’s a
distinction between active, healthy, clear thinking, which is often useful, and confused,
entangled over-thinking, which is not.
Over-thinking creates noise, mental clutter, and inability to see the truth. Like a
computer with too many useless old files, the mind runs inefficiently and slowly when
it’s cluttered. Delete your old useless thoughts, opinions, belief, arguments and mental
chatter. But don’t throw out the whole computer.
For example, as I write this, I go back and forth between a state that’s beyond
thinking, a flow in which I’m connected to inspiration and intuition, and a state of
thinking, analyzing and logically presenting the information. When I’m teaching, I need
to be systematic and logical, while at the same time plugged in to a dynamic, intuitive
anticipation of what the students need to know. If I’m over-attached to a thought or a
plan, the teaching or the writing will not flow well.
Be discerning enough to know when you need to think, and when thinking gets in the
way. Know the difference between high-vibration thoughts that are in Alignment with
Infinite Self, and low vibration thoughts. You can corroborate this with Energetic
Testing. If thinking causes a disconnect, repair it!
Discern the many distinct qualities of thinking. Analytical thought, associative
thought and creative thinking all feel different, mentally. Working with numbers and re-
organizing your desk drawers are two very different kinds of analytical thinking. Writing
a film review doesn’t use the same language processing as memorizing dialogue in a
play. All of these qualities of thought ideally ebb and flow into each other in a balanced,
The question is not whether you should think or not think. Rather, it’s about what’s
appropriate, effective, efficient, and in alignment with the present moment. The bottom
line is how easily you can turn off involuntary over-thinking, for a clear non-distorted,
effortless focus on what’s happening right now.
Mental Loops, Chatter and Obsessive Thinking
Just because you think a thought doesn’t mean it’s true. Not every thought that comes
into your mind is valid. Often, looping or chattering thoughts are just noise, like a radio
tuned between stations. Random thoughts can continually pop up if you’re out of tune,
out of alignment with Infinite Self. But if you’re in a state of aligned awareness – if
you’re disentangled and non-attached to those thoughts – you can easily discern their
connection to Wholeness.
It’s good practice to be aware of mental chatter as soon as it happens, and Disentangle
it, to quiet the mind. Involuntary thoughts trigger other equally random thoughts,
eventually drowning out Wholeness. They entangle with other thoughts or emotions,
further distorting perception of the now. From simple mental chatter to severe obsessive
thoughts, energetic disentanglement is the solution. You’ll do this in Exercise 15.
When you step back from thinking and, in the words of Eckhart Tolle, observe your

Observing your thoughts is such a revolutionary way of being that many people have
a hard time understanding it. But awareness of your thoughts is not about understanding!
It’s about stepping back from your thoughts, existing outside them. It’s difficult to
describe how to not think, because the description involves thinking. This is a state of
whole being, not just being in the local mind. But it’s a very simple state to get into. All it
takes is a quick, easy Alignment with Infinite Self, which automatically takes you out of
ego, beyond thinking, into balanced flow.

A Balance of Body, Mind, Spirit
Body, mind and spirit are different aspects, different manifestations, of our existence.
You are at your healthiest if these three areas are in dynamic balance. Some people live
more in their physical bodies, others favor their minds – either their intellect, or their
emotional states – while still others live more in the spiritual realms.
Of course, you need continuous and smooth flow between these states of being. While
meditating or creating, you want to be able to focus upward and outward, on the spiritual
and vibrational realms, more than on your body. But at the same time, meditation is more
effective with a foundation of physical health and comfort, so that your body is able to
relax and not call attention to itself inappropriately with involuntary tension or over-
relaxed weakness. Meditation and logical thinking obviously don’t go well together, but a
minimal, light, undistorted mental focus on a mantra is often called for, and deepens the
spiritual meditation experience.
Most activities require all three areas – body, mind and spirit – to be activated and
interacting seamlessly. With sports or music, you want to mentally prepare, analyze
weaknesses, plan strategies, and focus before-hand. However, while you’re performing,
your thinking-logical mind might take energy away from the flow of play – you want to
be in that mental-spiritual “zone” with your physical muscle-memory activated. When
you need to organize your files, study for a test, program a computer or find political
solutions to economic problems, you’ll do much better with your logical mind accessible,
while being open to bursts of inspiration.
Wholeness is not a spiritual state alone. It is a complete body-mind-spirit state. Every
bone, muscle, organ and cell in your body is connected to spirit. Every thought and
emotion affects the physical body as well as the soul level. And every vibration of your
spirit is also grounded in mother earth. Energy flows between the spiritual, mental and
physical levels, in dynamic balance.
Being spiritual is not superior to being physical, nor is it better than dwelling in your
mind or emotions. Living in a mostly spiritual state, disconnected from mind and body, is
not conducive to life on earth. You can live a spiritual life while still being grounded,
thoughtful, emotionally balanced, and present in everyday reality. Balanced body-mind-
spirit is true Wholeness.
Disentangle and Re-Integrate Body, Mind, Spirit
Sometimes the problem is not an inability to connect with one area of body, mind or
spirit. Instead, there can be over-entanglement between two or more areas. This results in
a cascade of triggers and confusion, with a problem in one area causing a reaction in a
completely different area.
When thoughts and emotions are entangled, your thoughts may generate negative
emotions, and vice versa. This makes it more difficult to let go of both unwanted
thoughts and emotions. Worry is an example of emotion (fear) entangled with thought
(looping or obsessive thinking).
Or, when the body is over-entangled with mind, then sensations can trigger negative
emotions. At the first sign of a sore throat (a physical sensation), you might also
experience the emotion of fearing illness as well as thoughts like “Oh, no, I really cannot
afford to get sick right now, and who’s going to sub for me at work, and how will I ever
catch up?” These three areas – sensations, emotions and thoughts – are entangled,
causing each area to be further weakened by the other two. The fear of catching cold can
weaken your physical system, actually making it more likely for you to catch cold.
Ideally, physical symptoms will not trigger any negative thought or emotion. This
non-attachment and non-entanglement allows your self-healing processes to kick in more
easily, without your system having to manage any additional emotional and mental stress
on top of the physical stress. Healthy thoughts and emotions come and go through your
energy field. They flow easily in and out, without getting stuck in your field, or attached
to each other.
You can easily shift your energy to make your thoughts (beliefs, assumptions,
judgements, catastrophizing, looping on “what if,” and random mental chatter) be
separate and independent of your emotions (anger, fear, guilt, or joy, peace and
happiness). When your thoughts and emotions are independent of each other, you have
more mental clarity, better memory, lighter and higher emotions and fewer limitations.
Your actions and choices are more connected to spirit, as well as more grounded. You are
less burdened by restrictions, more free.
∞ Exercise 16: Disentangle and Re-Integrate Multiple Items (Body-Mind-Spirit)
You’ll disentangle multiple items from each other. Let Infinite Self do the math on all
the different permutations of the interrelationships between items. Then you’ll Re-
Integrate them, so they will flow and interact without weakening each other.
Use the Six Steps of Now Healing. For Step 4, you will either Align, Disentangle, or
Re-Integrate as appropriate.
For any of these four commands, do an Enter by making mental contact with your
Center as you say one of the four commands (Align, Disentangle, Re-Integrate).

Thinking About the Problem is the Problem
Some people who want to heal from chronic conditions or ailments will do everything
they can think of in order to heal – but they still don’t get well. That’s often because their
thinking contributes to the problem! They think about what caused the problem, they
think about the mountains of medical information available, they think about decisions
around conflicting treatments. But thinking itself may actually create a disconnect,
through entanglement and over-attachment. Until the disconnect gets repaired, thinking
will continue to make the problem worse.
Mental focus itself is not a problem – unless it causes an energetic disconnect or
weakness. For instance, a person might think about earthquakes, floods or disasters
without any problem or fear, but when they think about the opposite sex, their whole
energy field crashes. Another example is watching scary movies, hearing the news, or
reading about diseases – some people are non-reactive and remain strong and connected,
while others experience a disconnect.
When I was ill with Lyme disease, I did lots of research in the hopes of finding
solutions. But every time I went on the internet to search Lyme information, I invariably
felt worse, both physically and mentally. Back then, I didn’t understand entanglement.
Not only was I entangled and resonating with other people’s pain and suffering, which
triggered an increase in my own pain, I was also hypersensitive to their fear, which
amplified my own fear and stress, and to the information itself.
Some would laugh this off as hypochondria. But in my experience, both personally
and professionally with many clients, I’ve found that hypochondria is really just extreme
sensitivity. It’s a heightened ability to tune in to subtle sensations and subtle energy, in a
way that’s hyper-entangled and weakening to the energy field.
When I discovered how to disentangle, I was able to step back and accurately observe
all the separate components that amplified each other: physical pain, fear, stress and
looping thoughts triggered by the Lyme information and the energy fields with which I
resonated. Once I was able to disentangle the cascade of entangled reactions, I felt much
I still occasionally catch myself being weakened or reacting to information – whether
it’s reading about medical conditions or hearing the news about global warming, possible
pandemics, or financial crashes. When this happens, I become aware of it within
moments. As soon as I observe myself going into disconnect, I just do a quick Enter and
the information no longer weakens me in any way – emotional, mental or physical. My
system, my energy field, is ready to deal with any stresses or issues that come up – from a
position of strength and Wholeness, not pre-weakened by entangling with the problem.
Let’s expand Tolle’s idea that you can observe your thoughts. You can also observe
your emotions, reactions, behaviors and even your physical sensations – from beyond the
thinking mind – from your Infinite Self. Awareness is the beginning of disentanglement.
∞ Exercise 17: Disentangle All the Things that You Think are Causing Your
1. Choose one problem (You can repeat this exercise separately for different
problems). Make a list of all the factors that you are aware of that could be causing
that problem. These factors may or may not be “true” – it doesn’t matter. Now do
a Disentangle on each of them.
2. Find all the factors that you are not aware of, as energy. Either find them as points
in space, a pattern, or put them in an imaginary box or container. Do a Disentangle
How to use Now Healing in your Everyday Life
You’ve aligned with Infinite Self and learned how to get centered, instantly, as you
Entered the Now Healing Space. You’ve aligned, disentangled and worked with energy
directly. Shifting energy to change reality is easy for you. Now what? How is this useful
in your daily life?
Get into that centered state of Enter when you first wake up in the morning and as
you’re drifting off to sleep. This can start your day off better than a bowl of Wheaties.
Remember, this is not a spiritual discipline, it’s just energetic self-care, like stretching or
washing your face.
Practice sensing the energy within you, and outside you, with some form of energetic
testing or Enhanced Sense Perception. Discern whether you are connected to Wholeness
in any given situation. If you are not, just do a quick Enter.
If there’s a situation you want to improve – any kind of issue at all – sense whether
it’s Whole. If not, put it in the Now Healing Space. Sense or test whether you need to
disentangle anything. Work with the situation as energy. Align it with its highest

Infinite Self, and you have all the information you need, immediately accessible as
You Are Now Healing
You are Now Healing. You are a force for healing and whole-ing. Realize it. These
statements are Enters, blessings, downloaded from Infinite Self, for you. If you like, you
can do Enter to reinforce them.
You are now healing yourself. As you heal yourself, you heal your family and loved
ones, all your relationships, your ancestors, and humanity. You are now healing past and
Your healing presence affects everything. Your actions and interactions are healing.
Your thoughts and emotions are healing.
You broadcast the vibrations of healing, transforming everything around you through
resonance. You are now healing your gender, race, tribe, religion, class, political party,
neighborhood, nation, culture, generation, economy and ecology.
You are now healing the air, the water, the earth and all its inhabitants, systems and
processes. You align with life itself. You are healing the entire universe.
You are Now Healing. Thank you!
Appendix: Reference and Review
The Now Healing Space: a morphic field of healing and connection to Wholeness.
Entering this space gets you neutral, non-attached, aligned with Infinite Self, and ready to
do this work.
Infinite Self: In earlier versions of Now Healing, this was referred to as Highest Self. It’s
also synonymous with Godself and Wholeness. It is a multi-dimensional and holographic
state, where you are connected to Wholeness yet completely aware, functional, grounded
Enter: the act of connecting body-mind-spirit to Wholeness. You Enter (the Now
Healing Space, or a specific command) by moving your focus up the Center, starting at
the base of your spine, continuing up, and out the top of your head.
Energetic Alignment and Wholeness Alignment: These phrases are older versions of
the word Enter, used in earlier Now Healing material, audio and videos. If you run across
these terms, don’t worry, they still work well. But Enter is clearer and more powerful,
and works even better!
Command: an instruction that you “enter” or input to your Center. The three commands
in this book are Align, Disentangle and Re-Integrate.
Align: A multi-dimensional connection on all levels of existence. This command
connects what is disconnected from Wholeness, whether or not you are conscious of what
it is, or what steps are involved.
Disentangle: Alignment, reversed. This command disconnects that which is
inappropriately entangled. It is also multi-level and multi-dimensional.
Re-Integrate: After disentangling, this aligns everything again so that each part is
congruent with the others, and with the Whole.
Declaration: a word or phrase that states your goal, intention, or the thing that you want
to test. A Declaration is the thing about which you issue a command.
Energetic Testing or Test: Discerning the difference between energies that are
connected to Wholeness, and energies that are disconnected. There are many forms of
Energetic Testing, for instance, finger muscle testing, physical intuition differentiation
(sensing with your body) and mental knowingness differentiation (sensing with your
Connected means your energy field is strong, normal and appropriate, in relation to the
item you’re testing. You remain connected to Wholeness and Infinite Self, regardless of
whether the item you’re testing is wanted or unwanted.
Disconnected means your energy field is weakened, blocked, not communicating
properly, or somehow inappropriate, in relation to the item you’re testing. You are
disconnected from Wholeness and Infinite Self.

THE SIX STEPS OF NOW HEALING – Review
Step 1: Enter the Now Healing Space. Sweep your focus up your Center – using your
mind and your kinesthetic, Enhanced Sense Perception, start at the base of your spine,
then move your focus quickly up, and out the top of your head. Keep it light, easy and
quick, without over-thinking.
Step 2: Declare the goal, issue, problem, or item on a checklist, either out loud or
silently to yourself. You’re declaring the thing that you’ll be testing in Step 3. Notice
how you feel, physically, mentally and emotionally, before you start working on the
energy of the issue.
Step 3: Test the issue or item. Is it connected or disconnected from Wholeness?
a. Stop focusing on what the goal or issue means to you, and get into Energetic
Testing mode. Remember, you’re testing the energy of the Declaration, not your
opinions about it, or your experiences of it.
b. Use one single, quick Energetic Test (for instance, a finger muscle test, or a
physical intuition test) to check whether you are connected to Wholeness, in the
presence of your Declaration.
a. How does it feel? Connected to Wholeness? Or disconnected? (not how
should it feel – how does it actually feel using your enhanced physical
senses?) Remember, feeling does not mean emotion here. It means
b. What comes up? If an intuition, image or thought comes into your
awareness, it may indicate a disconnect for which you need to make an
energy shift. Test for whatever comes up, to corroborate your intuition and
make sure it’s not information coming from your local mind, random
psychic entanglement or empathy.
c. If the test shows disconnection, go to Step 4. If it’s connected, move on to a
different Declaration (or continue down the checklist), beginning at Step 2.
Step 4: Command: Shift the energy of the thing you Declared, by Entering a
Command. Use one or more of these Commands, as appropriate.
Step 5: Re-Test: Do another quick Energetic Test to check whether the energy has
shifted into connection. If not, do several more Enters.
Repeat Steps 2 through 5 for each Declaration, or item on a checklist. If you’re done,
finish up with Step 6.
Step 6: Be Aware. When the work feels complete, or when you want to get a sense of
what has shifted, go into awareness and Enhanced Sense Perception. Observe the original
issue, declaration or situation right now, at this moment. Compare it to what it felt like
before. Is it connected to Wholeness? What has changed, and what has stayed the same?
Tune in to your physical, mental and emotional cues.
