Main page mostly will provide some unique features about Chevrolet products and solutions, however, it looks like that the only aim of the company is to compete with Japanese car producers such as Toyota, Honda, etc.! There are too many sections whereby users might find much information and have a deep experience with use of so many interactive features within the site which will provide a real life feeling to the user.Site has been built simple and efficient so that with an average Internet connection speed most of the function will be working smoothly and effective, especially for those who are familiar with the site structure. Information could be found easily if the user knows what he wants meaning that data access could be hard for a novice Chevrolet fan.

    Unlike many similar web sites, it’s not really easy to explore into the worldwide sites where products are specifically placed based on the regional requirement and needs. Right in the bottom of the main page, it could be possible if the user find the term “Worldwide Sites” by chance and navigate to see what might be there available for a user out of the United States.

    Surprisingly, there is no Malaysian site under the main web site and this itself, will keep away too many Malaysian users from being able to access to the local web site which is known as Chevrolet.com.my that is supposed to be a child under the main site. As a matter of fact this is a big negative point about the construction of the site.

    Talking about the web technology and appearance itself, Chevrolet and BMW are not very far from each other in comparison. The truth is there might be some radical differences in nature of the companies which will result various perspectives into each of them, though, both are giants in the market with very slight differences in few parts. This is while based on a verbal polling among college students as well as lecturers, majority of the users who have been visited both of the sites were agreed that BMW experience was generally had a better feeling for them.

    This is while the use of consistency between various pages will keep the users feeling in the right place, all the time and anywhere.

    The very best thing about the Malaysian site is the ability of customizing the appearance for the user before getting into the job. This simply will help the potential customer to feel respected and important to the company which may keep them tuned with the site itself. Unlike master site, Malaysian site of Chevrolet looks professional and stylish.

    Content of the site is designed based on the products available in Malaysia itself though it’s not following the same features which are available in the US based site. In the other words, the contents are informative but not interesting enough due to lack of interactivity with the users using animations, videos, etc. Design had been done in a two dimensional form where images are the only way to have a real life feeling for the user and somehow the site looks like old fashioned.

    the color scheme of Malaysian page and many other child sites is simply beautiful and will give the user to have a long lasting desired feeling.

Web site itself could be improved by adopting some interaction features from the master site (Chevrolet.com) where there are too many flash animations which might be really helpful to the user. Color scheme would also be change in a powerful and elegant color which is simple and effective at the same time. Black or white could be the best choices. Talking about technology, it is recommended to get use of Microsoft Silverlight instead of Adobe Flash in order to get best use of interactivity as well as ease of development. In addition, it’s a must for the sites to be multi browser compatible, especially with most common ones such as Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari as well as Microsoft Internet Explorer. In addition, it’s vital for the Malaysian site (Chevrolet.com.my) to have a link in the parent site (Chevrolet.com) and obtain all the cool features such as interactivity from its parent. Finally The use of virtual reality features in the web site and also in online marketing and advertisement would be a bonus, resulting the company more popularity and benefits.
