  • Tippmann A5 Reverse engineered BY: ROBERT DICKINSON
  • Objective To complete a reversed engineered replica of the Tippmann A5 paintball gun. Tools used  Inventor  Dial Calipers  Standard Tools  Lots of time!
  • How & Why Tools and basic knowledge of the gun were used to disassemble the gun. Then Dial calipers were used to take measurements. Measurements transferred to Inventor and created into a solid. Paintball is a big hobby and the gun seemed like a worthy & challenging project. View slide

  • Schedule Estimated Time  My estimated time in my project proposal was a mere 31 hours, which was mainly the class periods with a little time added for out of class work Actual Time  My actual time ended up being about double that, with much more time spent out side of class measuring, drawing, and assembling the project. I ended up figuring around 63 hours spent on it. With more than half the time spent outside of class working in open labs.
