  • Maintenance Event Builder (EHP2)
  • Maintenance Event Builder (MEB) The Maintenance Event Builder (MEB) provides an intuitive, easy-to-use way to manage the planning of maintenance events e.g. turnarounds, that represent individual work packages. The MEB can help you do the following:  Review maintenance notifications  Assign notifications to revisions  Generate plant maintenance or customer service orders from the task lists in the notifications  Assign the work  View the following:   Due dates  Work orders   Outstanding work requirements Other maintenance planning information. Help you examine your resource situation MEB supports the planner by creating work packages that include outstanding maintenance requirements for upcoming maintenance events. A maintenance event can represent a heavy maintenance event or a line maintenance event. Once you have set up the work package you can generate required work orders for technicians. © 2013 SAP AG. • Shift Notes and Shift Reports (EHP3/5)
  • Shift Handover Poor shift handover can result in a disaster A prominent example incident involving an isomerization column in a refinery of an oil and gas company. The nightshift filled the column. The dayshift continued to fill the column; it flooded, and eventually led to an accident killing 15 people. Shift notes Shift Reports Notes allows recording of all the unplanned activities and events. It is very easy to use and should be available to all the member of operations and maintenance team A formalized report of all the planned as well as unplanned activities and task that were performed and that are in progress. It is owned by a responsible supervisor per shift Shift Team Meetings Shift Handover A formalized meeting that takes place at the start of shift. It includes supervisor, staff function, technicians and operator to prepare strategic and tactical plans. A formalized face to face meeting between in-coming and out-going supervisor / team lead. Shift reports supports in coordinate such meetings. © 2013 SAP AG. All rights reserved. Public 38

  • Inspection Rounds (EHP4/5)
  • Inspection Rounds Define • Technical Objects • Measuring Points • Task List Define Inspection Rounds Inspection rounds are lists of simpler smaller tasks sorted in a predefined sequence a craftsman work off Locations, machines, devices are subject of work can be linked to a task Measurement reading task can be performed and documented on predefined measurement points Inspection rounds are defined in SAP EAM with General Maintenance Task Lists utilizing Functional Locations and Pieces of Equipments and assigned measurement points © 2013 SAP AG. All rights reserved. Plan and Schedule • Maintenance plan • Schedule Plan and Schedule Inspection Rounds Inspection rounds are performed on regular basis either periodically or initiated by an event Inspection rounds are planed and scheduled in SAP EAM using Maintenance plans Execute • Work order • Documents Execute Inspection Round Craftsman executing inspection rounds are supported through the predefined already planned and scheduled job instructions containing description of work, the location, necessary tools, materials or documents In SAP EAM the operational inspection round document are maintenance work orders Confirm • Times • Materials • Measurment readings Confirm Inspection rounds During or after work execution actual information like effective work time, used materials or measurement readings are confirmed Actual information is used to adapt operation or maintenance activities, keep operations and asset history and settle the inspection work Public 44

  • Assign Measuring Points to Operations via PRT – For operations in a task list technical objects can be maintained – For measurement readings measuring points defined for the technical objects can be assigned to the operation – Measurement Points are proposed based on FL or Eq in Task List Operation. – Hierarchies are taken into account © 2013 SAP AG. All rights reserved. Public 49
  • Record the Results of the Inspection: Overall Completion Confirmation – – – – With the confirmation of the inspection round work order measurement readings can be entered The entered measurement readings will be saved as measurement documents for the corresponding measurement point Create (and change) notification from confirmation screen as part of the feedback (from EHP5) New BAdI IMRC_CHECK_RDGS and an example implementation. This shows how an error message is issued when the tolerance limits for measurement readings are exceeded (from EHP5) © 2013 SAP AG. All rights reserved. Public 50
