• 1. Simple machines They are used to carry out the same work more easily or with less effort. <ul><li>The most important simple machines are: </li></ul><ul><li>Pulley . </li></ul><ul><li>Lever. </li></ul><ul><li>Inclined plane. </li></ul><ul><li>Winch. </li></ul>
• 2. Pulleys are simple machines used to lift objects. In fact, the pulley only reverses the direction of the applied force. Pulleys are used, for instance, to lift objects to buildings or to obtain water from wells. PULLEY
• 3. It is used to lift an object (load) when a force (effort) is applied We can get a mechanical advantage depending on the difference between the resistance arm and the effort arm There are 3 classes, depending on the position of the load, fulcrum and effort LEVERS 1st class 2nd class 3rd class
• 4. With an inclined plane it is easier to move heavy loads along a slope . This way, the effort necessary to lift a load is reduced. INCLINED PLANE
• 5. It is made of a cylinder with a handle and a rope. It is used to lift objects. As long as the load is lifted, the rope winds on the cylinder. (It´s used to lift the nets in fishing ships) WINCH
