(Acts 6:7 NKJV)Then the churches throughout allJudea, Galilee, and Samaria hadpeace and were edified. And walkingin the fear of the Lord and in thecomfort of the Holy Spirit, they weremultiplied. (Acts 9:31 NKJV)
  • CHURCH MULTIPLICATION MOVEMENT Led by the Holy Spirit They went to Phrygia, and then on through the region of Galatia. Their plan was to turn west into Asia province, but the Holy Spirit blocked that route. So they went to Mysia and tried to go north to Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus wouldnt let them go there either. Proceeding on through Mysia, they went down to the seaport Troas. (Acts 16:6-8)
  • CHURCH MULTIPLICATION MOVEMENT Paul had a vision Of a man Of Macedonia Standing, and begging him, "Come over to Macedonia and help us.“ (Acts 16:9 NIV)
  • CHURCH MULTIPLICATION MOVEMENT Radical and ready obedience The dream gave Paul his map. We went to work at once getting things ready to cross over to Macedonia. All the pieces had come together. We know that God wants us to plant a church here We knew now for sure that God had called us to preach the good news to the Europeans. (Acts 16:10 MSG)
  • CHURCH MULTIPLICATION MOVEMENT Share faith with receptive peopleOn the Sabbath, we left the city(Philippi) and went down along theriver where we had heard therewas to be a prayer meeting. Wetook our place with the women whohad gathered there and talked withthem. One woman, Lydia, was fromThyatira and a dealer in expensivetextiles, known to be a God-fearingwoman. As she listened with intensityto what was being said, the Mastergave her a trusting heart—andshe believed! (Acts 16:13-14)
  • CHURCH MULTIPLICATION MOVEMENT Gather core group in a home After she was baptized, along with everyone in her household, she said in a surge of hospitality, "If youre confident that Im in this with you and believe in the Master truly, come home with me and be my guests." We hesitated, but she wouldnt take no for an answer. (Acts 16:15) “My home can be your church!”
  • CHURCH MULTIPLICATION MOVEMENT Church planting sacrificesThe judges went along with themob, had Paul and Silass clothesripped off and ordered a publicbeating. After beating them blackand blue, they threw them intojail, telling the jailkeeper to putthem under heavy guard so therewould be no chance of escape. Hedid just that—threw them into themaximum security cell in the jailand clamped leg irons on them. (Acts 16:22-24)
  • CHURCH MULTIPLICATION MOVEMENT We know that we know that we know this is where God wants us! Along about midnight, Paul and Silas were at prayer and singing a robust hymn to God. The other prisoners couldnt believe their ears. (Acts 16:25)
  • CHURCH MULTIPLICATION MOVEMENT God’s majestic interventions Then, without warning, a huge earthquake! The jailhouse tottered, every door flew open, all the prisoners were loose. (Acts 16:26)
  • CHURCH MULTIPLICATION MOVEMENT Philippi Second Church The jailer got a torch and ran inside. Badly shaken, he collapsed in front of Paul and Silas. He led them out of the jail and asked, "Sirs, what do I have to do to be saved, to really live?" They said, "Put your entire trust in the Master Jesus. Then youll live as you were meant to live—and everyone in your house included!" (Acts 16:29-31)
