Self assessment

 1. 1. Self Assessment
Alexis Dulin
2. 2. What does it mean to be technologically literate….
according to Moore:
Knowing what technology to use that’s appropriate for a specific tasks
Knowing the purpose of each technology and how to maneuver around it to know its capabilities
Know the setup, and the interworking
Before taking this class I thought I was technologically literate but I really had no idea…
3. 3. What I thought I knew before this class…
Technology:
Facebook
Google
Computers
Cell phones
Email
All of these things have been used by me every day, but I did not truly understand how in depth these technologies were
4. 4. What I learned in this class..
5. 5. Twitter
-Before this class I was opposed to the idea of using twitter because I did not truly understand what it was. Twitter is a great way of communicating micro blogs and an easy way to specifically tweet for certain audiences.
-Not knowing all of the interworking of an interface will extremely hinder weather or not you can fully appreciate the technology.

Every technology is unique and twitter has many things to offer
 6. 6. Following
 7. 7. Tweeting
 8. 8. Hash tags
 9. 9. And many more

Google Docs

Google Docs is completely different from what I have seen before.
 10. 10. - I have had a Gmail account for a while and never knew what its capabilities were.
 11. 11. After seeing all of the things I c an do such as the white paper where everyone can be color coordinated to what they type, or how you can edit your groups text, and see recent changes. Google docs open up a whole new world of documents for editing.
 12. 12. - This just shows how deep these technologies are and all the things you can do with them

Tumblr

Tumblr.com is another interface we worked on throughout the class.
 13. 13. In this interface we found the foreground for blogging and how blogs can be linked to be a good tool for education and posting assignments
 14. 14. Tumblr.com is an easy blogging interface that allows many people to connect on so many different levels

So am I Technologically Literate..
Yes, I believe that I am technologically literate after taking this class. I have learned how to look into all of the interfaces to see what they have to offer. I now know not to judge a book by its cover and to investigate and choose if the interface is right for me.
