    Apple spent 150 million dollars to develop the iPhone. In 2007, Apple paid at least 1 million dollarsfor the iphone.com domain.

  • This “candybar” styled device debuted in 2007. By the end of Apple’s third quarter during this year, 270,000iDevices were sold.

  • In 2008, the cooler and sleeker iPhone 3G entered the mass market.
    The iPhone 3G was released with a larger consumer reaction and it sold an estimated 3 million devices in the first month.

    The iPhone 3G appealed to business types, tech lovers and mainstream Americans alike.
    On July 11, 2008 Apple released the iPhone 3G in 22 countries. Shortly after, the iPhone 3GS was released and it came equipped with video recording and twice the processing speed.
