  2. 2. What the buzz is Google Buzz. <ul><li>Google says : “Start conversations about the things you find interesting. Share updates, photos, videos and more with your friends.” </li></ul><ul><li>Ok, this is cool, but What is Google Buzz ? </li></ul><ul><li>Googling GBuzz this is what you will find out: </li></ul><ul><li>It’s a Twitter clone </li></ul><ul><li>something similar to Facebook but faster. </li></ul><ul><li>a mess </li></ul><ul><li>a revolution </li></ul><ul><li>a new way of communication </li></ul><ul><li>a new feature of Gmail </li></ul><ul><li>a new feature of your phone </li></ul><ul><li>A thing where everyone is talking about everything … a mess. </li></ul><ul><li>And so on.. </li></ul>
  3. 3. What is Google Buzz. <ul><li>Defining Google Buzz is hard and maybe useless but everyone is asking me about this. So.. </li></ul><ul><li>Google Buzz is a social networking platform, fully integrated in Gmail. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Where is Google Buzz? <ul><li>Google Buzz is on the left panel of your Gmail account. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Feature 1 : Tell&Read. <ul><li>This is your Buzzing interface </li></ul>
  6. 6. Writing <ul><li>Google Buzz has few writing features that you have to know to create the best post ever. </li></ul>This is the output :
  7. 7. Posting <ul><li>You can post your Buzz to everyone or just for your friends or co-workers, using the same groups of gmail contacts. </li></ul><ul><li>Use your Gmail Groups is easy : </li></ul>Step 1: Click contacts on the left sidebar Step 2: Click the second button on the contacts tab

  9. 9. Embedded Intelligence This is what your Buzz will look like.
  10. 10. Connect your Buzzy life <ul><li>You can connect Google Buzz to a blog to twitter or Picasa and others. </li></ul><ul><li>Just Click on the top “connected sites”. </li></ul>

Refine your search <ul><li>author:<name> finds all the messages written by a specific user </li></ul><ul><li>commenter: <name> finds all the comments from a specific person. </li></ul><ul><li>Source:Flickr (Twitter etc.) searches Buzz imported from twitter, Flickr etc. </li></ul><ul><li>-source:Twitter The service specified is out from results. </li></ul>
  13. 13. Cool ShortCuts! <ul><li>Enable your gmail shortcuts </li></ul>Click on Settings Enable shortcut

Cool ShortCuts in Google Buzz! <ul><li>Now you can use a lot of keyboard shortcuts to manage Google Buzz. </li></ul><ul><li>Gb (fast sequence) : open Google Buzz. </li></ul><ul><li>Shift+l : like a message </li></ul><ul><li>r : reply to a message </li></ul><ul><li>p / n : previous or next buzz </li></ul><ul><li>o : expand buzzes </li></ul><ul><li>m : mute a buzz </li></ul>
  15. 15. Update by Mail <ul><li>Send a message to [email_address] from your gmail account to post a new buzz. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Image attachment works fine! </li></ul></ul>
