    What is web2?
    As technology growth up every moment , internet applications improves rapidly. Web2 accor as a result of web1 limitations. Web1 is defined as a creation of web pages that provided information.
    As a result of this approach Few people purplish information and Most others are just users . Then come web2 approach witch cover the limitation of web1 ,so it provide more interactivity . web2 is defined as takes of information and interacts with the reader to allow the reader to find or modify the information he or she wants in the format that is most useful to them. So the result of that most people publish, Participate and add information .
    The relationship between distance education and web2 applications:
    The basic features of distance educations are : the Separation in place between students and instructor , increase of Interaction and provided Any time any place and any way.
    And web2 features are : increase Interaction , Mostly free , Easy to use , Use any where , Any time and Any way. So there is a shared area between them , then the question raise up : why to design new environment include all these features wile we have the alternative ?

    We are a user of features so as users we are limited on the features thet each web site provide .
    they are scattered in different website but instructor should give a shared online area to all students to meet in .
    Some times each website need registration and that take times but it reasonable time.
    Low security .
    Types of web2 application:
    Citizen Journalism :which also known as " public" , or " street journalism" [ and it is the concept of members of the public playing an active role in the process of collecting, reporting, analyzing and disseminating news and information.
    Podcasts : it is a series of digital media files (either audio or video) that are released episodically and downloaded through web.
    RSS : translated as " Really Simple Syndication" is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works—such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video—in a standardized format
    Wiki : it is a type of website that allows users to add, delete, or edit content. And Perhaps the most well-known example is Wikipedia . which allow users create the content . and Sometimes provide criticized for accuracy
    Other example is HYPERLINK " http://www.wikispaces.com/" wikispaces.com . it is Free for educators and it allow to Create your own space.
    How to use it in DE?
    Let students add , modify and clear information to reach the best result of learning and that will encourage them to search for new and good information .
    Social Networks : it is An online community created for users to connect, communicate, and share. As an Examples of it : Myspace , Facebook , Bebo , Flickr and Windows Live Spaces
    How to use it in DE?
    -create a social network and share (resources :video , audio …ext) with your student
    Polling tool: it is a method for a group such as a meeting or an electorate to make a decision or express an opinion—often following discussions, debates, or election campaigns. As an example of it : www.free-website-polls.com and http://polldaddy.com
    How to use it in DE?
    - Use it as apart of the content to engage students and get their opinions about any topic .
