Nutrition Facts Panel.
• Serving size
• Total Calories and Fat
• The High and Low of Daily Values
• Additional nutrients
• Check the Ingredient List
Low is 5 percent or less. Aim low
in total fat, saturated fat, trans
fat, cholesterol and sodium. High
is 20 percent or more. Aim high
in vitamins, minerals and fiber.

5 Tips for preparing healthy meals:
1. Use as little salt in your cooking as possible.
2. Season foods with herbs, spices, garlic and onions to add
3. Bake, broil, roast or stew lean meats, fish or poultry.
4. Cut back on processed meats high in saturated fat.
5. Make salad dressings with olive oil.

5. Snacking with nutrient-dense foods that are
otherwise lacking in the diet will improve your
