  • In answering the question ‘Who are you?’On week one we said you are not what you do, you are not determined by your upbringing or experiences and you are not defined by your relationshipsWhat is left?!
  • Humanity was created to experience acceptance, security and purpose, but the Bible says we rebelled against God, chose to do our own thing and as a consequence experienced rejection, fear and a loss of meaningful directionWho you are … your identity is PRIMARILY as a child of GodIts not about what you do, or your achievements and performance, God does not reject you based on these things becauseIn Christ you are ACCEPTEDIt’s not about what has happened to you … your past can and does shape you, but it does not define you or dictate your future, you do not need to be in fear about the future becauseIn Christ you are SECUREIt’s not about your relationships, roles or responsibilities, these are not the things that ultimately give life purpose because3) In Christ you are SIGNIFICANT
  • But you may not feel like it. So let’s see some of the things the Bible says about significance
  • Once you are free, then you are released to love and serve
  • This is who you are, and who we are together
