    • INTRODUCTION… HONDA motorcycle and scooter India Pvt Ltd wasfounded on August 20,1999 at Manesar near Gurgaon inHaryana. The foundation stone for HONDA factory wascompleted in January 2001. The company set benchmarks launch of its gearlessscanner HONDA Activa, HONDA Dio, launched after itwas a slightly upgraded and tender version of Activa.
    •  HONDA Eterona was another addition to therepertoire of the HONDA scooter. First bike launched by HMSI was HONDA Unicorn. It was followed by HONDA Shine. HMSI factory at Manesar is built on 52 Acres ofland.

    • MARKETING…• HONDA target sale 16 Lakhs 2 Wheelers by March 2011.• The company accept the double digit growth in there Motor Cycles and Scooter segments.• The company plan to EXPORT 1 Lakhs Motor and Scooter this year as against 75000 last year.
    • • The company plan to launch CBR-250R Sport bike in next year which is expected to be priced at Rs 1,50,000.• Company are investing Rs 500 Crore to set up a new Plant in Rajasthan. Its capicity will around 6 Lakhs units per annum.• The companies Haryana’s facility has an annual capacity of 16 Lakhs units per years.

    • During the mid year speech ofHONDA’s CEO……The HONDA’s CEO Mr. Takanobu Ito haddiscuss the future plan of Honda.● The Honda fit hybrid will go on sale in Japanin this year.● Their bigger plan is to involve small sizevehicles.● He also announced about his companies currentdeveloping a new system of mid size and longervehicles.
    •  These all vehicles will go on sale in the year 2012. They aim to reduce the fuel emission and Co2 emission of Honda petrol engines.
    • AUTOMOBILES… They aim to bringing change in Honda’s product like Motorcycles, Automobiles ,and power product. Also committed to reducing of environmental footprints through energy creation products.
    • PLUG IN HYBRID… New system for midsize to larger vehicles is currently under development. This vehicle will equipped with new system. And are scheduled to go on sale in 2011 in Japan and U.S.
    • GASOLINE ENGINE… The HONDA has aim to do improvement in their engine. Because engine is the main source of power for automobiles.
    • DIESEL ENGINE… Diesel engine is also effective in reduction of CO2 emission. The currently available HONDA’s diesel engine is 2.2 liter. HONDA is making progress in development of smaller diesel engine. This new smaller engine will be introduce in Europe in 2012.
    • FUEL CELL ELECTRICVEHICLE… HONDA is trying to work on the Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles. So in future the vehicles will run on electric basis.
    • BATTERY ELECTRICVEHICLES… By using the idea of Battery Electric Vehicles will create new market. Battery Electric Vehicles does not emits CO2. This product will sale in Japan and U.S. in 2012. They will also try to improve their battery performance.
    • MOTORCYCLES… The current use of battery in vehicle have more demand in the market. HONDA will fulfill the customer need in the form of electric Motorcycles.
    •  The next TEN years will be critical for HONDA to survive. HONDA’s view point is to fulfill the customer’s needs. In future HONDA will use advance technologies which will make the product more attractive.
    •  To address changes in the structure of global economy. HONDA will re-strengthen its capability as a manufacturer that is unique to HONDA. This include two primary areas 1.Strengthening business in emerging nations. 2. Strengthening the competitiveness of HONDA’s small size vehicles. Try to achieve future growth and to create their base always forward.
