    Web Cam Installation - Presentation Transcript

    1. FACULTY OF E-TEACHING WEBCAM INSTALLATION MANUAL [ i-Smart 5mpx ]
    2. PART-1 Steps to Uninstall your Webcam  [Note: You need to sign in with administrator privileges to perform this operation]
      • DISCONNECT your Webcam before you start!
      • Go To: Start>Control Panel
    3. Double-Click: Add/Remove Programs> A window will open
    4. Find your Web-cam's name in the list
    5. Click on the 'remove' button. A blue window will open
    6. Select 'remove' option & click 'next'.
    7. A small confirmation box will appear. click 'yes'
    8. Click 'Finish' Thus you have successfully uninstalled your webcam.
    9. PART-2 Steps to Install your Webcam  [Note: You need to sign in with administrator privileges to perform this operation] Please DO NOT CONNECT your Webcam till I say!
    10. Insert your Webcam’s installation CD into your CD/DVD drive [do not remove it till I say] Go to ‘My Computer’ & double click on the CD/DVD icon. The Webcam’s installation window will open
    11. Click on the ‘PC Camera Driver’ button. A blue screen will appear.
    12. Click ‘Next’
    13. Select the option ‘Complete’ & click ‘next’.
    14. Click on the ‘Install’ button. A small warning window will appear.
    15. Click on ‘Continue Anyway’ button.
    16. Click ‘Finish’.
    17. NOW CONNECT YOUR WEBCAM Check whether a small popup appears at the bottom-right corner of your screen showing your webcam’s name
    18. A ‘Found New Hardware Wizard’ window will appear. Select the ‘Yes, this time only’ option & click ‘next’
    19. Select the option ‘Install the hardware automatically [recommended]’ & click ‘next’.
    20. Click the ‘Continue Anyway’ button on the warning window.
    21. Click the ‘finish’ button to finish the installation & check whether a ‘web camera is plugged in’ message appears on the bottom-right corner of your screen.
    22. Now go to ‘My Computer’. You will see a camera’s icon. Double click on that.
    23. Your camera’s light will start glowing, & a window will open showing your video! Thus you have successfully Installed your webcam!.
