      AkkuFresh® raises the portable device battery's charging ability helps to maintain an optimal battery life and accelerates the charging time. AkkuFresh® regenerates any worn or deteriorated battery.
      AkkuFresh® is easy to use and installed by the user. It is a small (29 mm x 50 mm / 1.14 in x 1.97 in) rectangular foil which is installed in seconds by the user (attached or place to the battery).

      AkkuFresh® is based on IonXtra, a new exclusively
      developed nanoceramic material (nanosized ceramic
      powders), resulting from years of laboratory research.
      The product is under PCT since 2004.
      Ion-Power made from nanosized ceramic material a powder of a natural mineral (microporous crystalline solids). Ion-Power contains Titanium oxide (Ti), Manganese oxide (Mn), Iron oxide (Fe), Aluminium oxide (Al), Silica oxide, Zinc (Zn), Calcium (Ca) - Chlorine (Cl), Potassium (K), Magnesium (Mg) and other components.

    9. Degeneration of a Rechargeable Battery
      A lithium (Li) battery consists of a negative electrode, which is called the anode, and a
      positive electrode called the cathode. In between the anode and cathode is the electrolyte.
      The ions (charged atoms) flow through the electrolyte to create its power.
      The cathode is usually made of a metallic compound, for example lithium cobalt oxide or
      lithium manganese oxide. Whatever is used must be able to release Li ions easily.
      The anode is made of lithium bound to a materials such as graphite or other carbons. The
      electrolyte is made of a material similar to the cathode in order for the ions to flow.
      When the battery is supplying energy, the Li ions from the cathode consisting of a metallic
      compound flow through the electrolyte and into the anode. The Li ions have a positive
      charge.
      While the Li ions flow, electrons will flow through. The load from the anode to
      the cathode, but not through the electrolyte. The electrolyte only allows ions to
      diffuse through it.
      The battery charge / discharge process is operated by the repetitive flow movement of ions
      between electrodes. By the process of repetition and the electrode oxidation, the battery
      performance, charging capacity and battery life are progressively reduced.

      After several charging cycles, batteries progressively lose their performance because the electrical elements efficiency decreases and the internal chemical transfers are reduced by the effects of crystalline formation caused by the oxidation (inter-metallic compound) which create extra resistance that cause the degeneration of a battery.
      The separator, a metal that is shared by both chemistries, is responsible for this crystalline formation, creating crystals with sharp corners that may pierce the separator, which can lead to increased self-discharge or an electrical short. The crystals grow and drastically reduce the surface area. The result is a voltage depression, which leads to a loss of capacity. In advanced stages, the sharp edges of the crystals may grow through the separator, causing high self-discharge or an electrical short.
      The ion's flow is no longer operating correctly, thereby reducing battery life.The heat due to charging-discharging cycles and the movement and accumulation of ions to the electrodes causes a mechanical alteration in volume (expansion + contraction) for a approximate value of 7-9% of the total volume. Incorporation and removal of Li-ions (approx. 0,12 nm) at electrodes causes the alteration in volume (expansion + contraction). The mechanical stress causes the partial decomposition of the electrodes and metal particles float within the electrolyte. These particles cannot be ionized by normal battery function anymore and are lost as charge carriers.
    13. AkkuFresh® Principle and Assumption
      The energy released from the electron holes inside the mineral powder can send out a 3-4µm electronic vibration wave. The vibration wavelength released from AkkuFresh® is considered to be within almost the same range with the oscillation frequency of ions inside the battery.
      By receiving an electrons wavelength from AkkuFresh®, these molecules are able to raise their oscillation energy and electricity generation which result in a voltage increase.

      • AkkuFresh® contains material, which is able to directly affect the molecule level inside the battery. Uncharged metal particles within the electrolyte are reintegrated into the electrical circuit.
        • AkkuFresh® reduces electrical loss by optimizing the ions transferred between the battery cells and maintaining a stable voltage.
      • AkkuFresh® emits a ultra high-speed vibration frequency that dissolves and helps to prevent the crystalline formation caused by the oxidation, so the electrons can move freely between the anode and cathode and the battery regains its original the strength.
      • AkkuFresh® improves the electrolytic conductivity for a greater flow of ions (lower amount of uncharged particles do not hinder the ion flow within the electrolyte). Higher amount of charge carriers ("lost" metal particles are "reactivated" as charge carriers).

    15. >>• AkkuFresh® unblocks and regulates the flow of ions by generating an electro-magnetic cavity and oscillation frequency with negative ions emission. The ionization generated by AkkuFresh® has been measured as a level reaching 30 times the value (6000 - 9000 Ions/cm3) of the ambient air ionization (200 - 300 Ions/cm3). By the ions production, AkkuFresh® improves the electrodes oxidization.
        • Far-infrared rays (4 to 1,000 µ) are also emitted from AkkuFresh®. By stimulating micro-vibrations, generating heat and penetrating the battery casing, far-infrared rays causes a thermal reaction (by causing the molecules to rapidly vibrate against each other) that maintains the optimal battery temperature.
      • AkkuFresh® helps the battery to maintain its optimal temperature, increases the voltage and maintain the charge for a longer time.
      • The ions inside the Li-Ion battery are reactivated and excited by the interaction between AkkuFresh® and the magnetic field of the battery. A current-carrying conductor is surrounded by a magnetic field proportional to it. The current passing through the battery also builds up such a magnetic field. Due to varying operating states of the device and thus varying currents, magnetic fields of different intensity are built up around the battery.
      These magnetic fields induce a varying current in AkkuFresh®, which in turn builds up a varying magnetic field around itself. The interaction resulting from these two magnetic fields enriches and excites the ions inside the battery. A greater number of free, well flowing ions in the battery results in a greater battery capacity.

      • Used batteries thus can be regenerated by activation of additional ions and by reactivation of inactive ions.
      • The charge exchange in the battery at which the ions play the most important part is re-established. New batteries are effectively protected against ageing by AkkuFresh®, because a sufficient number of free ions are always available.
      • The charge exchange in the battery at which the ions play the most important part is always ensured. Depending on the type of construction, the regeneration needs more or less cycles. With prismatic cells it will take around 10 cycles, with cylindrical it takes around 30 cycles.
      AkkuFresh® starts its effect on the battery just after installation and users will notice an increase in battery life and charging speed, after 5 to 10 charging cycles.

      Biokarma Ltd. is also processing performance tests with several US and European universities, independent testing laboratories and battery technology centers for full evaluation and analysis with mobile phones and electronic devices batteries
      AkkuFresh® regenerates the battery and help to recover the original performance, maintains the maximum capacity, reduces the charging time and extends the life span. All the following tests are processed with used (6 month old) batteries.
      NOTE:It is very important to understand that AkkuFresh®is not designed to extend the battery life of a brand new battery!

      • AkkuFresh® regenerates a worn battery and helps to recover the original battery life and charging ability.Comparative test between two identical Ni-Cd batteries (same manufacturer, same model). Battery life time (Battery with AkkuFresh®) is measured after each cycle against the brand new battery life time. Battery (1) is brand new - Battery with AkkuFresh® (2) is 6 months old.
    24. Tests Results - Summary
      • AkkuFresh® increases the battery life stand-by time up to 38-47% (168h 30min > 230h 25min after 11 days).
      • AkkuFresh® increases the battery life talk time up to 49% (Continuous talk time from 1h 30min to 2h 40min after 10 cycles).
      • AkkuFresh® increases the charging speed up to 66% on Li-Po (31% nominal w/ Li-Ion).
      • AkkuFresh® begins to improve the battery performances after several charging cycles (4-6 charging cycles minimal - 50 charging cycles nominal - 150th cycle maximal). The effect is visible after 5-7 cycles. After 350 cycles, the capacity ratio vs. min capacity is 64.9% with AkkuFresh®.
      • AkkuFresh® has battery life improvement on low temperature characteristics - Capacity at 0.5˚C (32.9˚F) - Discharge at -20˚C (68˚F) is 206.6mAh with AkkuFresh® vs.134,4mAh without AkkuFresh®. Capacity ratio vs. 780mAh is 26.5% with AkkuFresh® vs.17.2% without.
      • AkkuFresh® reduces the battery's internal impedance and resistance. By these facts, the temperature of the battery is also reduced.
      • AkkuFresh® helps to maintain the charge on the last 3-5 hours of use.
