  2. 2. AIRPORT VISIT – DELHI COHORT AIRPORT VISIT WAS ORGANIZED BY FH FFM IN COORDINATION WITH DIAL – DELHI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT LTD. 15 STUDENTS, PROF. KC GANDHI OF UPES AND MR. PRADEEP DISSANAYAKE , PROJECT DIRECTOR OF FH FFM JOINED THE EVENT ON 19TH JULY 2013. THE GROUP WAS WELCOMED BY CCO MR. MARCEL HUNGERBUEHLER; MR. MANOMAY RAI, GM AND MR. ROMMEL VALLES, HEAD OF STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT OF DIAL.
  3. 3. AIRPORT VISIT – DELHI COHORT TWO PRESENTATIONS WERE CONDUCTED BY MR. VALLES AND MR. HUNGERBUEHLER TO SHOW THE HISTORY OF DELHI AIRPORT AND IT’S ACHIEVEMENTS AND GROWTH PLANS. IGI AIRPORT IS THE LARGEST AND BUSIEST AIRPORT WITH A 4.43 KM LONG A-380 KM COMPATIBLE RUNWAY AND CAT III B FACILITY ALLOWING AIRCRAFT LANDING EXTREMELY LOW VISIBILITY CONDITIONS.
  4. 4. AIRPORT VISIT – DELHI COHORT VISIT TO AOCC - AIRPORT OPERATION COMMAND CENTRE. MR. JITENDRA SINGH, ASSOCIATE VICE PRESIDENT OF AOCC & SLOT MANAGEMENT EXPLAINED HOW THEY CONTROL THE MOVEMENTS OF AIRCRAFT FROM ARRIVAL TO DEPARTURE.
  5. 5. AIRPORT VISIT – DELHI COHORT TEMPORARY ID CARDS WERE ARRANGED BY THE DIAL AUTHORITIES AND THE STUDENTS WERE ESCORTED TO THE TRANSIT AREA OF THE STATE-OF-THE-ART TERMINAL 3. T3 HAS CAPACITY TO PROCESS 37 MILLION PASSENGERS PER ANNUM. THE TWO TIER TERMINAL BUILDING FEATURES THE DEPARTURE COMPLEX ON THE UPPER LEVEL AND ARRIVAL ON THE LOWER LEVEL.
  6. 6. AIRPORT VISIT – DELHI COHORT T3 HAS 78 AEROBRIDGES & 34 SECURITY CHANNELS. 168 COMMON USER TERMINAL EQUIPMENT (CUTE) CHECK-IN COUNTERS. 49 DEPARTURE AND 46 ARRIVAL IMMIGRATION COUNTERS. FIRST AIRPORT IN INDIA TO GET LEED (LEADERSHIP IN ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT DESIGN) `GOLD 'RATING.
  7. 7. AIRPORT VISIT – DELHI COHORT MBA STUDENTS WITH THE AUTHORITIES FACING FOR A GROUP PHOTOGRAPH AT THE DEPARTURE LEVEL OF T3-IGI AIRPORT. LUNCH WAS SERVED AFTER THE AIRPORT TOUR. THE PROJECT DIRECTOR MR. DISSANAYAKE THANKED DIAL AUTHORITIES ON BEHALF OF FH FFM & UPES FOR THIS EXTREMELY ENJOYABLE EVENT AND FOR THEIR KIND HOSPITALITY.

FACT SHEET – TERMINAL 3 • The Brownfield development of IGI Airport commenced in January 2006. • DIAL is a joint venture consortium of GMR Group (54%), Airports Authority of India (26%), Fraport & Eraman Malaysia (10% each). • Phase 1 of the project was completed in 37 months. • India Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) was recently declared the 2nd best in 25- 40 Million Passenger Per Annum (MPPA) category in the world by airports council international (ACI). • IGIA – New Delhi is India’s largest and busiest airport with a 4.43 km long A-380 compatible runway. • Advanced in-line baggage handling system with CTX machines for greater efficiency and security. • 4 pier provide access to aircraft from the terminal. • Multi –level car parking facility for 4300 cars.

FACT SHEET – TERMINAL 3 • 78 aerobridges & 34 security channels (screening machines). • 168 Common User Terminal Equipment (CUTE) check-in counters. • 49 departure and 46 arrival immigration counters. • The arrival hall features 14 nos. standard and wide-body baggage reclaim belts. • High speed rail link connecting the city centre with city side check-in counters. • Passenger facilities such as restaurants, shopping, duty free complexes, modern communication equipment and executive lounges. • Capacity to process 37 million passenger per annum. • In subsequent stages, the airport will be further developed with the increase in passenger demand and more terminals and runways would be added in a modular manner to form a U shaped complex with an ultimate design capacity of 100 million passengers per annum.
