  • 2. Database Marketing <ul><li>Database is a comprehensive collection of inter-related and non-duplicated data usually stored in a computer serving multiple applications allowing timely accurate retrieval or manipulation. </li></ul>
  • 3. Sources of Data collection <ul><li>In urban area: - We can collect the data from the Nagar Palika. (in future if needed) </li></ul><ul><li>We collect the data from tehasil. There is all information about the all citizen like as how many family members in their family, how many earning candidate, how many dependents, sources of income and how much they earn? (in future if needed) </li></ul><ul><li>We can collect the data from voter list. </li></ul>
  • 4. Sources of Data collection <ul><li>Village Panchayat. </li></ul><ul><li>Gram Pradhan. </li></ul><ul><li>Bill-Book. </li></ul><ul><li>One to one interaction with the farmers. </li></ul>

Data Contents <ul><li>Following are the contents need to be stored while making database: - </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Name </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Address </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Tel No. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Their other related business. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Area of land that they are owning </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Quality and specie of the potato. </li></ul></ul>
  • 6. Data Contents <ul><ul><li>Amount of advance that deposited at the time of storage their potato. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Average Quantity of potato the vendor is storing for the last three years. </li></ul></ul>

Ways of making database <ul><li>Internally: - the database that we make of our own is said to be internal database. </li></ul><ul><li>External outsourcing of data: - the database we make by taking the help of other outside organizations is known as external database. </li></ul><ul><li>For my business I would like to prefer the database internally due to various reasons. </li></ul>

Reasons for making database internally: - <ul><li>Helps in making relationship with customers. </li></ul><ul><li>Validity of the data increases </li></ul><ul><li>It is less costlier for the business like warehouse. </li></ul><ul><li>By making database internally we can understand the customer easily. </li></ul>

Frequent Updates: - <ul><li>Updates regarding particular person’s last year stock and make comparison. </li></ul><ul><li>Updates regarding the new purchases by customers in terms of their land. </li></ul><ul><li>Updates regarding any of his new commencement of the business. </li></ul><ul><li>Updates regarding amount of space they need now and in future. </li></ul>

Major role of database in business <ul><li>The major role of database in business is to send reminders and updates. </li></ul><ul><li>Database helps owner to make their customer updated with all the information efficiently. </li></ul><ul><li>Database is helpful in sending information to all the customers in economic manner. </li></ul>

While making database following points need to be kept in mind: - </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Appointed person for collecting data must have full knowledge about the contents needed. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>He must have full knowledge about the area where he has to go for collecting data. </li></ul></ul>
