  2. 2. What is Poverty?  Watch the short film about Grace and see if you can work out some of the problems she has to face.  Grace's life  What is your definition of poverty? What is poverty?
  3. 3. What is Poverty?  What evidence is there that Grace lives in poverty?  Read through a Day in the Life of Grace What is poverty?
  4. 4. What is poverty?  Look at the sheet and see if you can complete the boxes about Graces life. (you may need to see the video again)  If you were able to how would you make her life better? What is poverty?
  5. 5. What is poverty?  Can you come up with your own definition of poverty?  Think about the differences between your life and Grace’s life and write them in your exercise books. What is poverty?

You can provide money and equipment for them to help them;  Install a village water pump (with clean water)  Build a school (to improve reading and writing)  Fit solar cells to hut roofs, (to provide electricity)  Build a latrine (concrete toilet where the waste drains into the ground)  OR another idea of your own? Can you think of anything else that would be more useful.  CHOOSE ONE and explain why you think it will help Grace. What is poverty?
