    • The fundraiser talent show with a twist! (The act with the most BRIBES from the audience WINS!)
    • The money raised supports The Gate, New Hope, & United Way’s Success By 6
    • Grossed over $25,000 last year!
    • New Hope & Success By 6 support programs for youth, and The Gate provides services for adults with special needs
  • 4. How Does Kiwanis Tie In?
    • JB Johnson’s Idea…Kiwanis puts together…
    • Retired Guys Drill Team (click to play)
    • Good routine, but extremely short & only includes men
    • The act needs to be longer and more gender inclusive among club members…
    • Young @ Heart (click to play)
  • 5. Act Concept
    • Blend “Drill Team” and “Young @ Heart” acts:
      • Drill routine
      • Choir enters and performs contemporary songs
      • Drill routine performs brief reprise
    • Overall performance is 8 – 10 minutes long and will be one of 8 – 10 acts at the April Foolies Talent Show
  • 6. How Would We Do It…
    • Act Organizers: Aaron Killian – artistic director; JB Johnson – coordinator; Leonard Blankner – music; Art Hafner – drill team; NEEDED – choir director
    • Other Alcoa Kiwanis members who have offered support: Donna Bailey, Susan Clark, Herk Holbert, Kyle Shaver, Larry Warner, Carl Sten
    • Support from the Alcoa Kiwanis Board
    • We’d love to have other chapters join us!
  • 7. Needed Talent
    • Choir Director
    • Choir Members
    • Drill Team
    • Band Members (possibly?)
  • 8. Why Perform in the Foolies?
    • To support programs that address issues that effect children
    • To promote Kiwanis to the public
    • To create an opportunity for team-building within our club and with other chapters
    • To have fun with a special event!
  • 9. Practice Times
    • Drill team, choir, band, and soloists will have separate rehearsals at first
    • Mid-January to mid-February: 1 practice/wk
    • Mid-February to mid-March: 2 practices/wk
    • Mid-March to end of March: 2-3 practices/wk (bring together all components – drill, choir, etc. - of act for rehearsals)
    • Practice times to last one hour
