The Legacy : I AM BIHAR I am the history of India, I gave the world its first Republic, I nourished Buddha to enlightenment, I gave world its best ancient university, My son Chanakya was the father of Economics, Mahavir came out of my womb to found Jainism, My son Valmiki wrote Ramayan, the greatest Epic Rishi Shushrut,the father of surgery, lived on my soil, My son Vatsayana wrote Kamasutra,the treatise of love , My son Ashoka – The Great was the greatest ruler of India , I gave birth to Aryabhatt, the great ancient mathematician , I gave Ashoka Chakra that adorns India's national flag , My son Dinkar is the national poet of India , I gave the world its first Yoga University , I gave India its first president , I am the land of festivals , I am brotherhood , I am humility ,I am the past ,I am the future , I am opportunity , I am revolution , I am culture , I am heritage , I am intellect , I am farmer , I am power , I am literature , I am poetry , I am love , I am heart , I am soul , I am yoga , I am global , I am inspiration , I am freedom , I am force , I am destiny , I am Bihar , ... Lack of proper infrastructure like power, road and health services. Low employment opportunities and heavy dependence on agrarian sector. High rate of crime , violence and governance issues. Negative bias of media and lack of support from all quarters. Low on human development index. Society divided on the basis of caste, region and feudal mindset. Casual approach towards the Brand Bihar ,self serving bias due to which Biharis fail to act collectively for the cause of state.

What next ….. Create a wider, diverse and a passionate network of Biharis. Involve more local partners in this effort, we have enough talent and passion in Bihar which will help us in executing ideas on ground. Create a positive and emerging vibe about Bihar as the heart and soul of India. We like to call in Bihar 2.0. Partner effectively with local, national and international private and govt. agencies to bring focus on Bihar. Share the expertise, knowledge and diverse experience to the folks back in Bihar. This will mean partnering with govt. institutions, MNC's and big corporate houses as well to bring about some grass root level changes. Become a very powerful Bihari pressure group which also acts as watchdog against media . Work towards branding Bihar at various levels through use of web 2.0 means like groups,blogs,wikis,orkut,facebook,collectivex, etc.It would also mean using audio-visuals, branding cultural stuff like madhubani paintings,bhojpuri movies and songs,litti chokha,patna rice,bhagalpuri silk,muzzafarpuri litchi are just few legacies of this great land. Our experience with the Gauravshali Bihar book and I am Bihar t-shirt has been extremely encouraging. Present a united face of Bihar intellectual and social talent to the world. This means we need to partner with Biharis and even Non biharis who are willing to help us in our effort. Focus on backward and forward integration. So the connection with State govt,officials and people on ground is critical.
