The 4.5 million square feet of new andPerkins + Will (Chicago office) renovated space had to be carefully integrated into the historic campus while still establishing a new identity for theWashington, D.C. The shorter tower is the Ritz Carleton Hotel, designed by another architecture firm. A sky-bridgeCharlotte, NC connects across the street to the existing Cesar Pelli designed Corporate Center. The tower is currently nearly(2006 - 2007) completion and will be occupied in 2011. The project is aiming for LEED-Silver certification.
