a leader
• A leader should be able to
– Stand up for a cause
– Do things for the first time
– Walk the untrodden path
– Overcome the ‘friction’ or ‘negativities’
Leaders always remember
• Being positive
– fodder for thought
• Thinking outside the box
– is a viable option
• Ego is a race
– in which unfortunately the winner is a loser
Leader should inculcate self-respect
• Believe in ones own abilities and team-mates
abilities
• Leader should ask himself & his team to
STOP- saying I work for Mr. X
START saying - I am employee of company Y and
work for myself and my family....
Leader should keep Innovating &
promote creativity
• Only 'market' and 'time' can decide - how right
or wrong an idea is? So be brave and bold
when it comes to innovation and creativity....
• So create an environment to encourage and
reward creativity
Respect your seniors
Not because they are right but because they
have more experience of dealing with wrongs
The candidate who mentioned that he has made more than 11000 mistakes in his
career got hired as he said something which got registered in long term memory of
the interview panel.
Blockers to Facilitators
• Overcome the ‘blockers’ and the ones pre-
occupied with ‘process-keeping’...
• Convert them and ask them to become
‘facilitators’.
• Ask them to ‘not hide’ behind the process
